Summary

The App Store rating prompt used to fire on the third finished agent session the phone opened (any agent Stop, including a clarifying question), or on a PR merge from mobile. That second path never fired: all 60 app_review_prompt_requested events to date were session_completed. Now:

  • Sending a message from a session's composer counts as a message, and each successful workspace create (local-host or cloud) counts as a workspace. A send from the Home composer creates a workspace, so it counts once.
  • It asks on the next return to Home after either action, once the user has sent 5 messages or created 2 workspaces. Over the last 14 days, 97 of 599 mobile users would have qualified.
  • The "acted since Home" flag lives only in memory, so a cold launch never prompts.
  • Unchanged: at most once per version, a 90-day cooldown, and Apple's own limits. Stored last-prompted stamps carry over through a persist migration, and the counters start at zero.
  • The event now sends messages_sent and workspaces_created instead of moment.

Test plan

  • bunx turbo typecheck --filter=@superset/mobile
  • bun run lint
  • apps/mobile bun test: 129 pass
  • Not run in the simulator: Apple's sheet only shows on dev builds

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • App review prompts are now triggered on the Home screen after users send 5 messages or create 2 workspaces.
    • Message sends and workspace creations now contribute to app review eligibility.
    • Prompt frequency limits and app-version checks remain in place.
  • Changes

    • App review prompts no longer appear directly after pull request merges or terminal activity.
    • Existing review progress is reset while prompt history is retained.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

The app review flow now counts sent messages and created workspaces, records those events, and evaluates prompts when Home gains focus. Prompt triggers were removed from terminal-seen and pull-request-merge flows.

🧹 Preview Cleanup Complete

The following preview resources have been cleaned up:

  • ✅ Neon database branch

Thank you for your contribution! 🎉

The prompt used to fire on the third agent Stop the phone opened, which
counted any end of turn (a question, a give-up) as success, and on PR
merges, which never happened (all 60 requests to date were
session_completed).

Now it counts messages sent from a session composer and workspaces
created, and asks on the next return to Home once the user has sent 5
messages or created 2 workspaces (97 of 599 mobile users over the last
14 days). The "acted since Home" flag is memory-only so a cold launch
never prompts. Per-version and 90-day guards and the last-prompted
stamps carry over; counters start at zero.

Cancel the review request when Home loses focus.

useFocusEffect schedules the timer without cleanup. If Home loses focus before SETTLE_MS, the timer can call StoreReview.isAvailableAsync(). If that promise resolves after blur, the callback captures the event and calls StoreReview.requestReview() from the next screen. markPrompted runs before scheduling, so it does not cancel the pending request.

Return cleanup that clears the timer and ignores results after focus is lost.

- Startup recovery and pre-account workspace migration: #7764, #7649. Files: troubleshooting.mdx.

Current source wins over PR descriptions: page ordering is newest-created first, search includes description, default CLI output remains a bare array, and the leaderboard automatically backfills since launch (there is no history-range picker). Slack thread commands and Mobile settings retain their availability qualifications. No assumption that every merged fix is already in the latest download.

## Validation

- bun install: passed; no tracked dependency changes.
- bun run lint:fix: passed, no code fixes.
- bun run lint: passed.
- bun run --cwd apps/docs typecheck: passed.
- Vale on all 16 changed docs: zero errors and warnings. Small pre-existing prose violations in touched pages were corrected to satisfy the SOP.
- git diff --check: passed.

Only apps/docs/content/docs/ and the required append-only root TODO log are included. No push or PR.

37 PRs drove changes; 66 were deliberately skipped as separate documentation work.

* docs: correct stale claims and consolidate weekly updates

Replace outdated remote-port and privacy claims, correct the 90-day leaderboard backfill cap and link settings location, and describe credential use and comment-watch registration accurately. Consolidate iPhone requirements and troubleshooting, trim repeated Pages prose, and keep launch effort details in the CLI reference.

Remove the #7764 startup entry because it does not identify a fixed release and its upgrade instructions are too vague. This supersedes that item in the original PR audit. Validate with docs typecheck, lint:fix, lint, Vale (zero errors or warnings), and git diff --check.

* docs: trim repeated explanations across user guides

* docs: clarify iPhone cloud workspace requirements
