Connections become a first-class thing, separate from plugins.

A connector registry (packages/shared/src/connectors/connectors.json) owns how an account is obtained, refreshed and disconnected. A connections table holds one row per connected account, keyed on the provider's own account id. A plugin manifest only names the connector it needs — extensions.superset.connector: { "slug" } — and carries no OAuth configuration of its own: no scopes, no client mode, no requires_env.

Agents reach a plugin's tools through /mcp/plugins/<marketplace>/<plugin> on the API, which resolves the caller's connection and proxies to the vendor's MCP server, or serves the tools in-process for the plugins named in SUPERSET_HOSTED_PLUGINS (gmail, slack). The credential stays on the server and is attached there; it is never written into a local agent config.

Connectors

Which client path each takes was decided by probing the real servers, not by assumption:

Connector Registration CIMD Client
notion yes yes client: "dynamic"
linear yes yes static (LINEAR_CLIENT_*)
slack no no static + PKCE (SLACK_CLIENT_*)
google no no static + PKCE + authorization_params (GOOGLE_CLIENT_*)
github — — static (PLUGIN_GITHUB_CLIENT_*)
sentry — — static (SENTRY_CLIENT_*)

GOOGLE_CLIENT_*, SLACK_CLIENT_*, LINEAR_CLIENT_* and SENTRY_CLIENT_* are the variables that were already set; only PLUGIN_GITHUB_CLIENT_* keeps its prefix. Google needs access_type=offline + prompt=consent to be issued a refresh token at all — that is what authorization_params is for — and its hour-long tokens are the first real exercise of refresh-before-dispatch.

Dynamic clients

"client": "dynamic" means the API takes endpoints and client identity from the MCP server at connect time:

  1. Read /.well-known/oauth-protected-resource for the server the mcp.url names.
  2. Follow the authorization server it points at for the endpoints.
  3. Get a client identity — a client id metadata document we host when the server advertises client_id_metadata_document_supported, otherwise an RFC 7591 registration kept in plugin_oauth_clients, unique on (issuer, redirect_uri) so everyone connecting one server shares a registration.

The flow is PKCE with an RFC 8707 resource indicator, and the authorization response's iss is checked against the discovered issuer before the code is redeemed (RFC 9207). Registration asks only for the grant types the server advertises, and refuses to register as a public client when the server never offered none.

The point: a hosted MCP server becomes installable without anyone registering an OAuth app first.

One account, or an error

A lookup that matches two live connections raises AmbiguousConnectionError — 409 from the endpoint, CONFLICT from tRPC — rather than resolving to whichever row was updated last. "Newest wins" is the kind of behaviour people rely on before anyone notices it was arbitrary.

A connection whose refresh fails is written back as disconnected_at + disconnect_reason = 'needs_reauth', so it stops reading as connected everywhere at once. connectors.status and integration.connectionStatus keep such a row and flag it, and a trigger built on one says Reconnect, not Connect. A token endpoint that is merely unreachable or answering 5xx is a 502 instead: the provider being down must not disconnect a good connection.

Schema and secrets

The published JSON Schema at /schemas/plugin/1.0.0.json is generated from pluginManifestSchema in packages/shared, and superset plugins publish validates against that same definition — the schema we serve and the schema we enforce cannot drift.

Connection secrets are sealed with SECRETS_ENCRYPTION_KEY under a v1: prefix; unprefixed values still decrypt with the legacy key, so rotating the auth secret no longer invalidates every connection.

Migration

0119_plugin_oauth_clients_and_connectors creates connections and plugin_oauth_clients, and drops plugin_connections with no backfill. integration_connections stays in place as dead data. Both are deliberate: the only installs today are internal, and nobody has a connection worth migrating.

It also changes ingest.webhook_events.provider from the integration_provider enum to text, because connectors are open-ended slugs now. Enum and text are not binary-coercible in Postgres, so that statement takes ACCESS EXCLUSIVE and rewrites the table — worth knowing before it runs against production.

Verified against the live Notion server

Not just unit tests — the whole path, end to end:

  • Discovery against mcp.notion.com selects the CIMD branch.
  • Authorize returns 302 with our client_id, redirect_uri, code_challenge/S256 and resource round-tripped.
  • Consent completes, the callback exchanges the code, and a connection row lands.
  • Tools list and call through /mcp/plugins/superset/notion, returning real workspace data with the credential held server-side.

Plus repo-wide typecheck, lint, check:plugins, and check:i18n with every new string translated in all 16 locales.

Known gaps

  • Linear, Slack and Gmail are unexercised end to end. Notion was run against the live server; the others have not completed a real connect. Slack's oauth.v2.user.access response shape deserves a first real run, and its user scopes may need to travel in user_scope rather than scope.
  • Verifying a dynamic client needs a public https tunnel. CIMD makes the client_id a URL the authorization server fetches, so http://localhost cannot work, and redirect_uris in the hosted document come from NEXT_PUBLIC_API_URL — setting PLUGIN_CLIENT_METADATA_BASE_URL alone is not enough.
  • Slack's MCP server entry moved to the OAuth path. Existing installs materialised mcp.slack.com/mcp into agent configs; with no mcpServers entry, the next sync reaps it. Fine for internal installs, which is all there are today.
  • PLUGIN_CATALOG is a second, hand-maintained source of truth for plugin versions alongside the generated manifests, and it has already drifted. Consolidating it onto FIRST_PARTY_MANIFESTS is a follow-up.
  • The MCP endpoint is on SDK 1.30, not the v2 @modelcontextprotocol/server helpers, because /mcp and the CLI pin 1.30 today. Moving all three together is a follow-up ticket, along with tool policy, synthetic authenticate tools, and multi-account support.

This change adds dynamic OAuth connections, token refresh, and new plugin catalog entries. Unresolved OAuth endpoint-validation and concurrency behavior can expose authorization traffic or cause connection failures, while the plugin validation path may fail for the Notion package; these should be resolved before merge.

Comment thread packages/cli/src/lib/plugins/publish.ts Resolved
Comment thread plugins/notion/package.json Resolved
A plugin's oauth2 method can now say `"client": "dynamic"` and drop
authorization_url, token_url, and requires_env. The API takes all three from
the MCP server at connect time: it reads the protected-resource metadata for
the server the mcp url names, follows that to the authorization server, and
gets a client identity either from a client id metadata document we host or
from an RFC 7591 registration, whichever the server advertises. Notion is the
first plugin to use it, and needs no registered OAuth app at all.

The OAuth code now runs on better-auth's oauth2 helpers, which brings PKCE, the
RFC 8707 resource indicator, provider-specific authorize and token parameters,
and refresh. It uses the request builders rather than the fetching variants so
every token request still goes out through credentialFetch, which refuses
non-https and refuses to re-send a credential to a redirect target.

Refresh now actually happens. refreshToken and tokenExpiresAt were stored and
never read; connectionContext refreshes an expired connection before dispatch
and persists the result, so a connection no longer dies at its first expiry.

plugin_oauth_clients holds registrations, keyed by issuer and redirect uri so
every user connecting one server shares a client instead of each registering
their own. The metadata-document path writes nothing to it, which is the path
Notion takes.

Linear's MCP server advertises both a client id metadata document and a
registration endpoint, so its OAuth method drops authorization_url, token_url,
and requires_env and takes all three from the server. Nobody has to register a
Linear OAuth app to connect it any more.

Slack and Gmail cannot: neither authorization server offers registration or a
metadata document, so both stay static clients with a registered app. Both do
advertise S256, so both set pkce. Gmail additionally needs access_type=offline
and prompt=consent to be issued a refresh token at all, which is what
authorization_params is for, and its hour-long tokens are the first real
exercise of refresh-before-dispatch.

Gmail points at Google's own first-party MCP server rather than anything we
write, and names PLUGIN_GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID/SECRET so Docs and Sheets can share
one registered app when they land.

The plugin OAuth callback redirects to the web app, which had no /plugins page
— connecting left you on a dead URL. Adds the deep link passthrough that
/tasks/[slug] already uses, bouncing to superset://plugins/<name> with the
query intact.

Remove moves out of the Connections section and into the plugin header beside
Update and the enable toggle. It uninstalls the plugin, so rendering it under
a "Connections 0" heading directly above "Authenticate your account" read as
"remove the connection" when there was no connection to remove.

🧹 Preview Cleanup Complete

The following preview resources have been cleaned up:

  • ✅ Neon database branch

Thank you for your contribution! 🎉

oauth.ts reaches client-identity.ts, which imported @superset/db/client at
module scope. That module calls neon() as it evaluates, so importing anything
in the OAuth chain needed DATABASE_URL — which CI's unit tests do not set, and
which mocking cannot prevent, because the real module is still evaluated before
its exports are swapped. Both oauth.test.ts and dynamic-client.test.ts failed
on CI while passing locally, where a .env supplies the variable.

Importing it lazily inside the three functions that query also matches how the
code actually behaves: only dynamic client registration touches the table, and
the client id metadata document path — the one Notion and Linear take — never
reads or writes a row.

Serialize plugin token refreshes per connection. Both dispatches can read the expired row before either update, pass the same refresh token to refreshToken, and reach updateConnectionTokens. If the provider rotates and invalidates that token, one refresh can persist the rotated credentials while the other fails; connectionContext maps that failure to UNAUTHORIZED. Run ensureFreshConnection under withConnectionLock, re-read the connection inside the lock, and refresh only if it remains expired.

Use the plugin directory as the validation path. The package check runs from plugins/notion, so the CLI resolves plugins/notion as plugins/notion/plugins/notion. Its existence check then fails with No such path before validation. Change the script to superset plugins validate .; the CLI expects a plugin directory.

An authorization code is bound to the client id it was issued to, so retrying
a failed exchange under a freshly registered client can only ever return
invalid_grant — and forgetClient deletes the registration row every user of
that authorization server shares, so a single bad exchange would break the
flow for everyone mid-authorization. Only refresh keeps the retry, where
re-registering genuinely can recover.

A registration that returns no client_secret is a public client, whatever
token_endpoint_auth_method we asked for. Storing the requested method meant
sending Basic <id>: with an empty secret to endpoints that reject exactly that.

An expired token with no refresh token no longer fails the dispatch before it
is attempted. Expiry is deliberately backdated by token_expiration_buffer, so
the token is often still good; letting the provider answer is strictly safer
than guessing it is dead.

The publish check for secret oauth2 inputs now runs for dynamic methods too.
It had moved inside the static branch, so a dynamic method declaring a secret
input passed CI and was then refused at connect time as a 400.

Deploy-day risk: webhook_events.provider enum → text is a full table rewrite

Migration 0115 contains:

ALTER TABLE "ingest"."webhook_events" ALTER COLUMN "provider" SET DATA TYPE text;

provider is currently the integration_provider enum (confirmed in meta/0114_snapshot.json). The column changed to text() because connectors are now open-ended slugs rather than a fixed enum — the right call — but enum and text are not binary-coercible in Postgres, so there is no metadata-only path. That statement:

  1. Takes ACCESS EXCLUSIVE on ingest.webhook_events — blocks reads and writes.
  2. Rewrites the whole table into new files.
  3. Rebuilds all four indexes (webhook_events_pkey, webhook_events_provider_status_idx, webhook_events_provider_event_id_idx, webhook_events_received_at_idx).

Drizzle runs migrations in a single transaction, so the lock is held for the whole migration, not just this statement.

Scope

Bounded: webhook_events is deliberately unpartitioned (per the comment in packages/db/src/schema/ingest.ts) — the partitioned 400GB table is webhook_payloads, which this does not touch.

Not trivial, though. enforce-retention keeps 30 days (RETAIN_DAYS = 30), and its own comment records production measurements:

Measured against production over 1226 batches: 35s mean, 582s worst. At the previous 20s the deadline check after batch one always failed, so a run deleted 5k rows rather than the 50k intended — an order of magnitude under what the ceiling implies, and roughly break-even against intake once the backlog is drained.

A table where deleting 50k rows per run is break-even against intake, holding 30 days, is not small.

What happens during the window

  • Every inbound webhook write blocks — GitHub, Linear, Slack, Sentry, Stripe.
  • Anything exceeding the provider's delivery timeout is dropped, not queued (GitHub ~10s, Slack ~3s). Recovery depends on each provider's retry policy.
  • webhook_events_provider_event_id_idx — the dedup index that makes those retries safe — is being rebuilt during exactly that window.

The failure is silent: the deploy succeeds, and what you see afterwards is a gap in ingested events and automations that never fired.

Decide with one query

SELECT count(*) FROM ingest.webhook_events;
SELECT pg_size_pretty(pg_total_relation_size('ingest.webhook_events'));
  • ≲100k rows / a few hundred MB — rewrite is a second or two. Ship it, ignore this comment.
  • Millions of rows — either deploy in a maintenance window with a short lock_timeout so it fails fast instead of piling up waiters, or split it: ADD COLUMN provider_text text → backfill in batches → build replacement indexes CONCURRENTLY → swap reads → drop the old column in a later migration.

Filed as a comment rather than a fix because the right answer depends on that row count, which isn't visible from the branch.

… the review's findings

Plugins stop being dispatched through a tRPC procedure and become a real MCP
server at /mcp/plugins/<marketplace>/<plugin>. The endpoint resolves the
caller's connection, refreshes the credential if it is stale, and either serves
a first-party server in-process (gmail, slack) or proxies to the vendor's own.
dispatch.ts, oauth.ts, the `plugins build` command and the committed
plugins/*/server bundles all go with it.

One connector per manifest. `connectors: [{ slug, required }]` becomes
`connector: { slug }` — a plugin only ever runs under one credential, so the
array and its tie-break rule described a choice that never existed. `mcp` now
means one thing: the upstream we proxy to. A hosted plugin declares none, and
that absence is what says Superset is the server. The URL an agent connects to
is derived from the manifest rather than written out a second time.

Fixes from review:

- The connector OAuth callback trusted a signed state carried only in the query
string, so an authorization code a victim approved could be paired with a
state an attacker minted, binding the victim's account to the attacker's
connection. The state is now bound to a cookie on every redirect method, not
just app_install — the old plugin callback did the equivalent with a session
check, and the rewrite had dropped it.
- The plugin endpoint advertised itself as an OAuth resource the authorization
server would never issue for, so a spec-compliant client looped on a 400. It
presents the /mcp resource, which is already in validAudiences and is the
audience verification accepts. Nothing scopes a token to an endpoint anyway.
- Agent configs got no MCP server for gmail or slack and pointed straight at
the vendor for the rest, so the credential proxy was reachable only from the
CLI. Every connector-backed plugin now resolves to its proxy endpoint.
- Upstream MCP sessions were never released: close() only aborts locally, so
the vendor held the session until it expired. A cold tools/call also opened
two of them, because the tool list was fetched while building the server
  rather than when asked for.
- The token refresh ran the identity provider's round trip inside a transaction
holding an advisory lock, so one slow provider drained the pool for every
unrelated query. Mutual exclusion is now an in-process single flight plus a
compare-and-swap on write; a refresh that loses the race adopts the winner's
  row instead of clobbering it.
- connections had no index leading with connected_by_user_id, so every query
behind the plugins page scanned the table. The table it replaced had one.
- credentialFetch's timeout never applied to the MCP transport, which always
supplies its own signal, so a hung vendor pinned the route to maxDuration.
- plugins.connections.list dereferenced an absent manifest and 500'd when the
  named plugin was not installed.
- The needs-auth server answered every tool call with a success-shaped result,
which a tool-calling loop reads as "the action completed".

Known and deliberate: integration_connections is not backfilled into
connections — internal installs reconnect. Pre-existing installs carrying the
old manifest shape are not migrated. The webhook_events enum-to-text rewrite in
0115 takes ACCESS EXCLUSIVE on a live ingest table; sizing it is a comment on
the PR.

What's left, at 47059ff34

Graded the Sep 14 checklist against the head. Landed: the CI fixes, the RFC 9207 iss check with tests, the schema generated from pluginManifestSchema with publish validating against it (4), secrets sealed under v1: with the legacy key kept for reads (6), the env names (7), Linear back on the static client, Slack and Gmail as in-tree API modules with the committed bundles gone, and the MCP endpoint. Keeping the endpoint in this PR is fine, and connector: { slug } as a single object is fine too. SDK v2 (@modelcontextprotocol/server) is a follow-up ticket, not this PR, since the repo pins 1.30 for /mcp and the CLI already. The Gmail full-mailbox scope thread is dropped; resolving it.

Merge with main first

  • Migration number. Main took 0117_slack_thread_sessions (feat(api): Slack thread sessions — replies reach the agent without a mention #7583) and 0118 (feat(api): !stop ends the Slack agent's running turn #7594) after your last merge, so 0117_plugin_oauth_clients_and_connectors collides. Regenerate as 0119 on a fresh Neon branch off the new main, per the Sep 10 note: drop the local 0117, take main's journal and snapshots, drizzle-kit generate. Not a hand-merge of _journal.json.
  • feat(api): bridge the Slack agent to the user's Linear and GitHub plugins #7585 built on dispatch.ts. Main's Slack agent now reaches a user's Linear and GitHub plugins through listTools/callTool from router/plugins/dispatch.ts and toolConnections from connections.ts (see slack/events/utils/run-agent/plugin-tools.ts), and this branch deletes all three. The right resolution is to make the Slack agent a client of the same plugin server the endpoint serves, in-process: resolveTarget + buildPluginServer from @superset/trpc/plugins-proxy, connected over InMemoryTransport the way packages/mcp/src/in-memory.ts already does for the Superset tools. needs-auth maps to "not connected"; a PluginTargetError 404 too; PLUGIN_SLACK_TOOLS and the resolved semantics in run-agent.ts stay as they are. The plugin tools tests in run-agent.test.ts mock the old barrel and will need to mock the proxy module instead. Main also rewrote process-mention.ts and process-assistant-message.ts into re-exports of process-agent-message.ts, so your accountConnection/connectionBotToken change moves there.
  • Preview Neon branch. Deploy Database fails with relation "plugin_oauth_clients" already exists because the PR's Neon branch already ran the earlier numbering. Delete the branch named integration-plugins in the Neon project and the next push recreates it from main.

Still open from the checklist

  1. Ambiguous accounts must fail (item 1). userConnection / orgConnection in lib/connectors/lookup.ts are still NEWEST_FIRST … limit(1). Select two, throw a typed error that the endpoint maps to 409 and connectionContext to CONFLICT.
  2. Record unrefreshable failures (item 2). ensureFreshConnection still throws UnrefreshableConnectionError and writes nothing, so the row reads as connected everywhere. Write disconnected_at + disconnect_reason = 'needs_reauth', and surface it in connectors.status / integration.connectionStatus so the UI can say "Reconnect".
  3. Callback page (item 5). connectors/callback/[connector]/route.ts and connect/route.ts still redirect to /integrations/<slug>. The generic connect/[connector] page exists; send both there with ?connected=1 / ?error=<code>.
  4. Your deferred P2s (item 9): grant_types from grant_types_supported, pickAuthMethod failing instead of falling back to none, and refresh transport failures as BAD_GATEWAY rather than UNAUTHORIZED.
  5. Docs drifted again. docs/plugins.md documents connectors: [{ slug, required }]; the manifests and schema now say connector: { slug }.
  6. PR body (item 8). It still describes superset mcp tools/call-tool dispatch, PLUGIN_SLACK_CLIENT_*/PLUGIN_GOOGLE_CLIENT_*, and says nothing about the endpoint or the plugin_connections drop without backfill. Rewrite it to describe what the branch is now.

Everything in the follow-up list from Sep 14 stays a ticket.

#	packages/trpc/src/router/plugins/dispatch.ts
Ambiguous accounts now fail instead of resolving to whichever row was
touched last. `userConnection`/`orgConnection` read two rows to detect a
second, never to choose between them, and `activeConnection` delegates to
`userConnection` so one lookup cannot drift from the other. The MCP
endpoint answers 409, tRPC answers CONFLICT.

A connection that cannot be refreshed is recorded as `needs_reauth`
rather than only throwing, so it stops reading as connected everywhere.
`connectors.status` and `integration.connectionStatus` keep such a row and
flag it, and the trigger row offers Reconnect instead of Connect.
Disconnect accepts one too, so the row the UI shows can also be discarded.

A token endpoint that is unreachable or answers 5xx is now
`ConnectorUnavailableError` -> 502, not an expired connection: the
provider being down must not disconnect a good connection.

Dynamic registration asks only for the grant types the server advertises,
and refuses to register as a public client when the server never offered
`none`.

Both connector routes redirect to the generic connect page, which every
connector has, rather than `/integrations/<slug>`, which only the seven
older ones have. The page reports the outcome with the messages the
plugin detail page already uses.

Checklist cleared at 379940911

Merged main and worked the three merge blockers plus all six open items. CI is green except Deploy Database (Neon), which needs the branch deletion below — that is the only thing left from your review.

Merge

  • Migration → 0119. Main took 0117_slack_thread_sessions and 0118 as you said. Took main's journal and snapshots, dropped the local 0117, re-ran drizzle-kit generate — no hand-edit of _journal.json. The generated SQL is byte-identical to the previous version, so neither of main's migrations touches these tables, and drizzle-kit check passes on CI.
  • feat(api): bridge the Slack agent to the user's Linear and GitHub plugins #7585 / dispatch.ts. Done your way: dispatch.ts stays deleted and the Slack agent is an in-process client of the same server the endpoint serves — resolveTarget + buildPluginServer over InMemoryTransport. needs-auth and a PluginTargetError 404 both read as "not connected"; a listing failure keeps the plugin in the sets with empty tools so it still reads as connected. PLUGIN_SLACK_TOOLS and the resolved semantics are unchanged — run-agent.ts gained only organizationId (the proxy needs it) and a closePlugins() beside cleanupSuperset in the existing finally. TargetRequest.marketplace is now optional: the HTTP route reads it from the URL, an in-process caller has none, and installedPlugin already throws on cross-marketplace ambiguity. Your accountConnection/connectionBotToken change moved into process-agent-message.ts, with both old files now main's re-exports.

Three things the test rework turned up, all of which were hiding real gaps:

  • run-agent.test.ts now fakes only target resolution and the two request handlers, so the real client/server pair is exercised rather than mocked past.
  • The githubListing fixture omitted inputSchema on merge_pull_request. The SDK rejects the whole listing for that, so every github tool was being dropped and "records an opened pull request" was passing for the wrong reason.
  • process-agent-message.test.ts was never running. Two other files stub @superset/trpc/connectors partially, and bun pins the first stub's export names process-wide, so importing connectionBotToken threw a file-level error that surfaced only as an unnamed "1 fail" — the same trap as the dbWs one. All three stubs now list the same set; apps/api went 151 → 187 tests.

The six open items

  1. Ambiguous accounts fail. userConnection/orgConnection read two rows to detect a second, never to choose between them, and raise AmbiguousConnectionError — 409 from the endpoint, CONFLICT from tRPC via the new serverError.plugins.ambiguousConnection key (16 translations written). activeConnection now delegates to userConnection rather than keeping its own ORDER BY updated_at DESC LIMIT 1, so the two cannot drift.
  2. Unrefreshable failures are recorded. ensureFreshConnection writes disconnected_at + disconnect_reason = 'needs_reauth' before throwing, at both the no-refresh-token and rejected-refresh paths. connectors.status and integration.connectionStatus keep such a row and flag it — the second now returns { connected, needsReauth } as you suggested — and TriggerSentence says "Connection expired / Reconnect". disconnect accepts a needs-reauth row too, so the row the UI shows can also be discarded; upsertConnection already cleared both fields on reconnect.
  3. Callback lands on the generic page. Both connectors/callback/[connector] and connect/route.ts redirect to /connect/<slug> with ?connected=1 / ?error=<code>. The page reads them through a small client component that reuses the plugin detail page's existing messages verbatim, so only the two account_already_linked strings were new.
  4. The P2s. grant_types is built from grant_types_supported; pickAuthMethod throws when the server advertises only methods we cannot use instead of falling back to none; and an unreachable or 5xx token endpoint is now ConnectorUnavailableError → 502, not UNAUTHORIZED — a provider outage must not disconnect a good connection or send the user to reconnect something that is fine.
  5. Docs. The drift was the reverse of the note: docs/plugins.md documented connectors: [{ slug, required }] while the manifests and the generated schema say connector: { slug }. Docs corrected to match the schema.
  6. PR body rewritten to describe the endpoint, the connector registry and connections model, the real env names, and the plugin_connections drop without backfill — plus the webhook_events.provider enum→text table rewrite, which is worth knowing before deploy day.

Still needs someone with Neon access

Deploy Database (Neon) fails with relation "plugin_oauth_clients" already exists. The preview branch ran the earlier numbering and deploy-preview.yml reuses it by head_ref, so no amount of renumbering fixes it from the repo side. Deleting the Neon branch named integration-plugins and pushing recreates it from main and replays 0115→0119 cleanly.

Verification: typecheck 42/42, lint, sherif, check:plugins, check:i18n 0 missing across 17 locales, and @superset/trpc 310 / @superset/api 187 / @superset/web 52 tests passing. The two terminal-ws-transport and the GitWatcher failures are pre-existing and environment-only — those files are byte-identical to main and fail on jest.advanceTimersByTime under bun 1.3.2.

Everything in the Sep 14 follow-up list stays a ticket.

…ules

These three behaviours shipped without tests. Both mutations that matter
are caught: removing the needs-reauth write fails two tests, and removing
the 5xx guard fails a third.

`resolve-target.test.ts` stubbed `../../lib/connectors/refresh` without
listing `ConnectorUnavailableError`, which the proxy now imports. Bun pins
the first registration of a module process-wide, so the file passed inside
the full run and failed on its own; the stub now lists every export, as
its own comment already required.

The refresh and lookup assertions share one file because these stubs hold
state: a second file stubbing the same modules would lose the race for the
pinned registration and leave its own bindings unread. `./index`, its
dependency and the manifest module are left unstubbed for the same reason
— a partial stub of a 39-export barrel breaks every other file that
imports the rest — so a real registry connector with a static client
drives `resolveEndpoints` and the token endpoint is intercepted at
`globalThis.fetch`, the seam `connectors.test.ts` already uses.

…reads (#7675)

#7317 moved every integration lookup from integration_connections to the new
connections table and shipped without moving the rows. It reached production
on 19 September with connections empty, so all 2,393 live integrations (1,658
Linear, 682 Slack, 28 Google, 23 Notion, one Sentry, one Teams) read as
disconnected. Linear deliveries logging "No active connections" went from 2%
of requests to 92% at the cutover, and the handler answers 200, so Linear does
not retry them.

legacyConnectionRow maps an old row to the row a fresh connect would write.
The id is kept, because automation_events dedupes on it and Linear, Gmail and
Calendar build event and resource keys from it. The old config moves to state
unchanged, which carries Linear's newTasksTeamId, Google's watch channels and
sync tokens, the Teams clientState that live Graph subscriptions echo back, and
Sentry's installationUuid. Both tokens are sealed, since the new table stores
ciphertext and decryptSecret throws on plaintext. Scope and auth method come
from the connector definitions. User-scoped rows need an external user id the
old table never held: it comes from user_identities where the old connect flow
recorded one, and otherwise from the Superset user id, the fallback the Slack
callback already uses. No reader uses that column for these connectors and a
reconnect replaces it.

Rows go in directly rather than through upsertConnection, which rejects an
external account already connected to another organization; 120 Linear
workspaces legitimately are. The script reports what it would do unless passed
--apply, skips rows already copied and owners who have reconnected since, so a
lookup never finds two live rows, refuses to run without
SECRETS_ENCRYPTION_KEY, and reads every written token back through
decryptSecret. That key exists only as a GitHub secret, so it runs from a
manually dispatched workflow in the production environment, a dry run by
default.

Also moves slack thread-sessions onto accountConnection. It was the one reader
#7317 left on the old table, and would have stopped resolving any workspace
connected after it.

Rehearsed on a Neon branch of production: 2,865 of 2,865 rows written, a second
run copies nothing, and a field-by-field comparison with the old table finds no
difference beyond created_at, updated_at and disconnected_at losing
sub-millisecond precision through JavaScript dates. The production lookup and
decrypt code finds and opens every row, and does report a row corrupted on
purpose.

## Validation

- bun install: passed; no tracked dependency changes.
- bun run lint:fix: passed, no code fixes.
- bun run lint: passed.
- bun run --cwd apps/docs typecheck: passed.
- Vale on all 16 changed docs: zero errors and warnings. Small pre-existing prose violations in touched pages were corrected to satisfy the SOP.
- git diff --check: passed.

Only apps/docs/content/docs/ and the required append-only root TODO log are included. No push or PR.

37 PRs drove changes; 66 were deliberately skipped as separate documentation work.

* docs: correct stale claims and consolidate weekly updates

Replace outdated remote-port and privacy claims, correct the 90-day leaderboard backfill cap and link settings location, and describe credential use and comment-watch registration accurately. Consolidate iPhone requirements and troubleshooting, trim repeated Pages prose, and keep launch effort details in the CLI reference.

Remove the #7764 startup entry because it does not identify a fixed release and its upgrade instructions are too vague. This supersedes that item in the original PR audit. Validate with docs typecheck, lint:fix, lint, Vale (zero errors or warnings), and git diff --check.

* docs: trim repeated explanations across user guides

* docs: clarify iPhone cloud workspace requirements

…y-order compat rules

- Error codes are contract: desktop branches on NOT_FOUND, CONFLICT,
  UNAUTHORIZED, SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE, BAD_GATEWAY.
- Procedure type, link options, and the superjson transformer are
contract (#6658 methodOverride POST: 405s against older hosts).
- db.query find* calls without columns pass table columns into the
output, so a DB column change is an output change.
- Behavior counts, not only types: default limits, sort order, null.
- No new required header, stricter auth, or .strict() on an existing
  input.
- The API must be live before a client calls a new procedure (#7317's
deploy stalled two days behind migration 0119).
- Skill: pattern-table rows, a deploy-live check, client-side tolerance,
  and matching checklist items.
