fix(desktop,host-service): stop the Changes pane from hanging on large diffs - #6658
Conversation
…hangesets The Changes pane fired one git.getDiff tRPC call per changed file and rebuilt+reparsed the entire item list on every individual query resolution, making large PRs (hundreds of files) effectively O(n^2) on the renderer and O(n) round trips + redundant merge-base lookups on host-service. - Add git.getDiffBulk: one request per (category, baseBranch/commit) group instead of per file, sharing ref resolution (merge-base, from/to) across the batch and running per-file git show/readFile pairs with bounded concurrency instead of unbounded parallel spawns. git.getDiff is kept as-is for single-file callers. - Rework useDiffCodeViewItems to group files by diff source and issue one bulk query per group (typically 1-3, not one per file), and cache parsed FileDiffMetadata per item keyed by the owning group's dataUpdatedAt so an unrelated re-render (annotations, collapse state) doesn't re-parse every file's diff. - Extend the git.getDiff invalidation call sites to also invalidate getDiffBulk so the Changes pane keeps live-updating after discard/stage/ base-branch changes now that it queries a different procedure. - Force POST on the host-service tRPC link (workspace-client): a bulk request for a large changeset produces a GET URL long enough to blow past the local server's header-size limit, failing CORS preflight before the request reaches host-service at all. Found via live verification against a real 327-file changeset. POST puts the input in the body instead of the URL; host-service already handles POST fine for every mutation. Verified: new get-diff-bulk.test.ts exercises a real 300-file changeset through gitRouter.getDiffBulk (single call, correct content, matches getDiff's per-file output, completes in seconds). Existing git-router and workspace-client suites pass. Live CDP check against a real 327-file against-base changeset confirmed the bulk grouping and file list resolve correctly end-to-end; full CodeView render was blocked by the CORS/URL- length issue above until the POST fix, which could not be re-verified live after that fix due to unrelated apps/api instability in the dev environment (intermittent env-validation failures, confirmed pre-existing).
WorkspaceClientProvider (packages/workspace-client) got the POST fix in the previous commit, but apps/desktop/src/renderer/lib/host-service-client.ts is a second, independent httpBatchStreamLink instance pointed at the same host-service — used for device-wide calls like ports.getAll and terminalAgents.listByWorkspace across every workspace shown in the sidebar, plus workspace.get. Live-testing surfaced this: a same-tick batch across many workspaces produced GET URLs up to ~16KB, well past the header-size limit, failing CORS preflight before host-service ever saw the request. Since workspace.get is a prerequisite the Changes pane's WorkspaceProvider chain depends on, this was a second path to the same "Unable to load git status" symptom as the getDiffBulk bug, just triggered by ordinary sidebar rendering instead of a large diff. Confirmed fixed live: zero CORS errors post-fix (was dozens), and the same batches now return 200.
The client fixes in the previous two commits (methodOverride: "POST" on both host-service tRPC links) were incomplete without this: trpc's HTTP handler rejects a POST request to a query procedure by default (METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED), unless the server opts in via allowMethodOverride. Without it, every query — not just the large ones the client fix targeted — started failing immediately after the client change, surfacing as "Unable to load git status" everywhere, confirmed live via the exact error message "Unsupported POST-request to query procedure at path \"git.getStatus\"". allowMethodOverride is the trpc-official, additive counterpart to the client's methodOverride: it accepts POST as well as GET for queries; GET still works for any caller that doesn't opt into the override. Confirmed fixed live: git.getStatus and friends now return 200 via POST across multiple real workspaces, including two with large real changesets (38 and 86 files) rendering correctly end-to-end.
📝 WalkthroughWalkthroughThe change adds bulk Git diff retrieval with bounded concurrency, switches tRPC query transport to POST, updates the renderer to consume grouped diff responses, and invalidates bulk diff queries after Git state changes. ChangesBulk Git diff flow
Estimated code review effort: 4 (Complex) | ~45 minutes Merge Risk: 🟠 High · up to Although this PR improves large-diff loading, it is not merge-ready: an in-worktree symlink could expose files outside the workspace, and changesets over 2,000 files in one group could silently omit diff items; large responses and broad cache invalidation also leave bounded performance risks that need owner attention. MAX_DIFF_BULK_PATHSbounds the number of files, but the handler buffers old and new contents for every path and returns them in one response. tRPC v11 httpBatchStreamLink methodOverride POST allowMethodOverride fetchRequestHandler
💡 Result:
In tRPC v11, the method override feature allows clients to force all requests (including queries) to use the HTTP POST method, typically to bypass URL length limitations [1][2][3]. To implement this, you must configure both the client and the server: 1. Server Configuration On the server, you must explicitly enable method overriding in your HTTP handler (e.g., in fetchRequestHandler or createHTTPHandler depending on your adapter). Set the allowMethodOverride option to true [2][4]. Example for fetchRequestHandler: const handler = fetchRequestHandler({ router: appRouter, allowMethodOverride: true, // Enables support for method overriding //... other options }); 2. Client Configuration On the client, use the methodOverride option in your link configuration (such as httpLink or httpBatchLink). Setting this to 'POST' ensures that all requests sent via that link will use the POST method [2][5]. Example: import { httpLink } from '@trpc/client'; const client = createTRPCClient({ links: [ httpLink({ url: 'http://localhost:3000', methodOverride: 'POST', // Forces POST for all operations }), ], }); Regarding httpBatchStreamLink, it is a terminating link designed for streaming responses using application/jsonl [6][7]. While httpBatchStreamLink shares configuration options with httpBatchLink (including common link options), the methodOverride property is generally applied to the base httpLink or httpBatchLink configuration to force POST requests for all procedure types [5][7]. If you require streaming and want to ensure requests are handled as POST, verify that your specific link setup accepts the methodOverride property [2][5].

site:github.com/trpc/trpc v11.16.0 httpBatchStreamLink methodOverride HTTPBatchStreamLinkOptions allowMethodOverride
💡 Result:
In the tRPC library, particularly around the v11.16.0 timeframe, there is no native or standard property named methodOverride or allowMethodOverride within HTTPBatchStreamLinkOptions for the httpBatchStreamLink link. The httpBatchStreamLink is designed for streaming batched responses and includes options such as streamHeader (introduced in PR #7241, which was integrated around the v11.16.0 release cycle) [1][2][3], maxURLLength, and maxItems [4][5]. While users have discussed the concept of overriding HTTP methods (e.g., using POST for all requests) in the context of tRPC batching to handle large payloads or bypass URL length limitations [6], this is generally managed via standard link configuration or specific workarounds rather than an allowMethodOverride option in the stream link's official API. If you have encountered a reference to methodOverride or allowMethodOverride in documentation or code, it may be a custom implementation, a misunderstanding, or related to a different link type (such as httpLink or httpBatchLink, which handle HTTP methods differently). For the most accurate and up-to-date configuration for httpBatchStreamLink, you should refer to the official tRPC client documentation for your specific version.

site:github.com/honojs/middleware packages/trpc-server 0.3.4 allowMethodOverride trpcServer fetchRequestHandler
💡 Result:
In version 0.3.4 of @hono/trpc-server, there is no direct parameter named allowMethodOverride [1][2]. The @hono/trpc-server middleware acts as a wrapper for tRPC's fetchRequestHandler, designed to adapt tRPC servers for use within Hono applications [1][3]. The middleware automatically handles request methods [1]. Specifically, for GET and HEAD requests, it proxies the Hono request object to ensure that method-dependent body properties are correctly accessible by the underlying tRPC handler [1]. This proxy mechanism was refined in version 0.3.4 to properly handle Request instances [2]. If you are looking to manage how methods are handled, you typically configure the underlying tRPC router or the Hono middleware routing path [3][4]. If your goal is to handle method overrides (such as supporting POST for mutations that might otherwise be blocked), this is generally a concern handled by tRPC's core adapter or custom Hono middleware placed before the trpcServer call, rather than a specific flag within the trpcServer options [1][3]. Key technical points: - trpcServer options extend FetchHandlerRequestOptions [2]. - The middleware uses fetchRequestHandler internally [1]. - If you need specific control over the request before it reaches tRPC, you can define your own Hono middleware or use the trpcFetchHandler (available in later versions) for more granular control over context and request handling [5].

unpkg @hono/trpc-server@0.3.4 dist index.js allowMethodOverride
💡 Result:
The @hono/trpc-server middleware, including version 0.3.4, does not contain a specific option or parameter named allowMethodOverride [1][2]. The term "method override" in the Hono ecosystem refers to a separate, built-in middleware (hono/method-override) used for overriding request methods (e.g., changing a POST request to a DELETE request) via form fields, headers, or query parameters [3]. If you need to handle method overriding when using tRPC with Hono, you would typically use the dedicated methodOverride middleware independently of the trpcServer middleware [2][3]. The trpcServer middleware is designed to adapt a tRPC server to Hono and does not natively implement method override logic within its own configuration options [1][2].

Correct the error code in the server comment. The options are valid and the Hono adapter forwards allowMethodOverride. Without the flag, tRPC returns NOT_FOUND for a POST query; METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED applies to subscription overrides.

Also sets FileContents.cacheKey (itemId + dataUpdatedAt) on both sides of
parseDiffFromFile so @pierre/diffs' WorkerPoolManager can reuse an
already-highlighted AST across DiffPane remounts — previously every

CI's no-main-loop-blocking ratchet caught it: getDiffBulk constructed a SimpleGit client per file directly in the tRPC resolver, adding 2 new on-loop createUserSimpleGit call sites to git.ts (4 > the allowed 2). Each spawn's stdout drain runs on host-service's event loop, which is also serving every other tRPC response, status poll, and watcher callback in the process — exactly the head-of-line blocking the ratchet exists to prevent. Moves resolveDiffCategoryRefs/loadFileDiffContent into git-helpers.ts (shared, ratchet-neutral — they take a `git` client, they don't construct one) and adds a gitDiffBulkTask worker task that resolves refs and loads every file's diff with bounded concurrency inside the worker pool, mirroring the existing getStatus/getCommitFiles pattern. getDiffBulk's resolver now just resolves gitEnv on-loop and hands off to the pool. Verified: no-main-loop-blocking.test.ts passes, full host-service suite (1157 pass) and the 300-file get-diff-bulk.test.ts both green.
…iff(Bulk)
Security: getDiff/getDiffBulk passed the caller's path straight into
loadFileDiffContent, which reads `${worktreePath}/${path}` off disk for
the "unstaged" category with no containment check — a `../../etc/passwd`
style path read arbitrary files outside the worktree. Both procedures
now call the existing assertSafeRelativePath guard (moved to
git-helpers.ts so it's importable) before doing any work; getDiffBulk
validates every path in the array up front. Added a regression test
covering both endpoints.
Perf: useDiffCodeViewItems keyed its parsed-diff cache, cacheKey, and
version off the bulk query's `dataUpdatedAt`. Since getDiffBulk groups
every file sharing a category into one query, editing any one file
invalidated the cache for every other file in the same group. Now keyed
off a hash of each file's own oldFile/newFile contents instead, so an
unrelated file's refetch no longer defeats the caching this hook exists
to provide.
Also: dropped a redundant wall-clock timing assertion from the 300-file
bulk-diff test (the existing test timeout already guards the hang this
test exists to catch), and derived DiffContent from the router's
inferred output type instead of hand-restating it.
Verified: full host-service (1158 pass) and desktop (2652 pass) suites,
typecheck, and biome all clean.

…ces older than 1.24 (#7105) * fix(desktop,workspace-client): fall back to GET queries on hosts older than 1.24 Since #6658 (1.24.0) both renderer host-service links send every query as POST via methodOverride, and host-service accepts that with allowMethodOverride from the same release. A host-service older than 1.24 rejects each POSTed query with METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED, which surfaces as `Unsupported POST-request to query procedure at path "settings.agentConfigs.list"` on Settings > Agents and as an empty agent picker in the new-workspace composer. Two ways a >=1.24 desktop reaches such a host: the coordinator adopts any healthy host-service it finds in the org manifest without a version check (one left running by an older CLI install or a second desktop channel), and remote hosts at 1.21-1.23 pass MIN_HOST_SERVICE_VERSION but still reject the override. createHostServiceLinks now wraps the streaming batch link in retryLink + splitLink: the first METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED on a query marks that endpoint as legacy and replays the query over GET; later queries to it go straight to GET, mutations stay POST. Both the desktop's device-wide client and WorkspaceClientProvider use the shared factory instead of duplicating the link config. Verified against the real superset-host binaries from the cli-v1.23.0 and cli-v1.25.1 releases, and end to end in the dev desktop with the 1.23.0 host adopted via manifest. Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_018GpzahQefv2y8yE4U8i6bn * fix(workspace-client): re-probe POST after a legacy host restarts on the same endpoint The legacy-endpoint set was permanent for the renderer session. The desktop respawns a replaced host-service on the same port, so once a stale host was killed and a current one came up at the same URL, every query stayed on GET and large-input queries could hit the URL-length limit again. A transport-level failure to the endpoint now clears its entry, so the next query tries POST. Also asserts the positive branch of isMethodOverrideRejection directly. * feat(shared,host-service): add Claude Fable 5.1 to the model pickers and pricing table (#7099)
* feat(shared,host-service): add Claude Fable 5.1 to the model pickers and pricing table
Fable 5.1 (`claude-fable-5-1`) joins the Superset chat catalog, the claude
preset's pinned releases, and the opencode and OMP pickers; the claude alias
`fable` already tracks it. Ids checked against Claude Code 2.1.257, models.dev,
and the catalog bundled in OMP 18.1.2. Copilot and cursor-agent list models
server-side, so their pickers are left alone until their ids can be confirmed.
Pricing gains a per-model cache-read override: Fable 5.1 keeps Fable 5's
$10/$50 per MTok but bills cache reads at $0.25/MTok (0.025x) instead of the
usual 0.1x, and cost/savings estimates now honour that.

Review follow-ups to the Fable 5.1 commit, each checked against the vendor
pricing pages on 2026-09-02:
- Sonnet 5 is $2/$10; the $3/$15 increase scheduled for 2026-09-01 was
cancelled, so the table stops carrying it.
- Mythos 5.1 shares Fable 5.1's $0.25/MTok cache-read rate and gets its own
row instead of falling through to the bare `claude-mythos` prefix.
- GPT-5.6 Sol is on $4/$20 promotional pricing through at least 2026-11-21;
the bare `gpt-5.6` id follows it as before.
- Tests now pin Fable 5.1's Pinned releases group, the matched cacheReadPerM
(direct and vendor-qualified), and the default branch of cacheSavingsUsd.

* Internal environment release pipeline (sandbox:release) (#7093)
* feat(sandbox): one-command internal environment release, and the fixes it took
`bun run sandbox:release [--production]` builds the base image, an internal
golden (shell config, Electron libs, monorepo with node_modules), verifies a
fork of it through the real provisioning path (host-service, display + xterm,
VNC, `bun dev` with Electron), and only then writes the environment rows and
retires the previous golden.
Along the way:
- sandbox disk is tmpfs at half of memory and `storageMb` does nothing; the
golden runs at 32 GB (documented in docs/cloud-sandbox-mismatches.md)
- `bun install` needs build-essential/python3/X11 headers (electron-rebuild),
ldconfig after the Electron libs, and the image's bun follows .bun-version
- the image starts openbox-session so the autostart actually runs
- a fork writes its injected environment to /workspace/.env (tmux drops it)
- Electron as root needs --no-sandbox: apps/desktop/scripts/dev.ts adds it
- a failed GitHub App token mint no longer fails a public-repo workspace
- validateSecretValue used Buffer, which the packaged renderer doesn't have,
so the Add Environment Variable sheet could never save
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(sandbox): address review on the release script
- read the desktop log from the probe, which is where it lives
- only log "deleted" when the previous golden was actually deleted
- fail when the golden never becomes ready instead of carrying on
- check the Neon responses before parsing them
- escape backslash, dollar and backtick in the double-quoted .env fallback

* docs(sandbox): say what the double-quoted .env fallback guarantees
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* feat(sandbox): a workspace branches the database for itself at first boot
The internal golden now carries neonctl and jq, and a fork's first boot runs
superset-workspace-db: it creates a Neon branch named after the workspace
(from the project's default branch, the way .superset/setup.sh does on a
laptop), rewrites DATABASE_URL/DATABASE_URL_UNPOOLED in /workspace/.env, and
runs db:seed-dev so the dev account exists before the stack starts.
Release probes skip the branch so a pipeline run leaves nothing behind;
`--probe-neon` makes the probe do it for real, checks the stamp, and deletes
the branch afterwards. Deleting a cloud workspace does not delete its branch
yet.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(sandbox): run the golden setup detached and retry probe execs at the edge
A synchronous exec dies at the edge gateway after about two minutes (504),
and the setup passes that once neonctl installs; it now runs detached and is
polled. Probe checks are idempotent, so a dropped HTTP/2 session (GOAWAY)
retries instead of failing the release after the API check already passed.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY

* Launch a built-in agent when a cloud workspace is created (#7107)
* feat(cloud-workspaces): launch a built-in agent when a cloud workspace is created
Under Cloud the desktop and mobile composers offer the built-in presets the
sandbox image installs (claude, codex). The create carries the agent, the
prompt built with the linked context, and model/effort/mode; provisioning
hands them to the sandbox as SUPERSET_SANDBOX_AGENT* environment, and the
sandbox's host-service runs the launch once the server is listening through
the same path agents.run takes. A marker file keeps a restart from repeating
it, and promoting a sandbox to an environment strips the launch variables.
Custom agents follow once they live in the cloud database (SUPER-2127).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(trpc): name a cloud workspace from its prompt as data, not as a request
Passed bare, a prompt written as an instruction got answered by the naming
model instead of titled. The prompt now sits inside a task block, and a
sentence-shaped reply falls through to the derived title.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(host-service): seed the default agent presets before a sandbox launch
A freshly forked cloud workspace launches its agent before any client has
listed the host's agents, which is what normally seeds the defaults, so the
launch found no config matching 'claude'. Also keep the database-branch
stamp out of the checkout, where it showed up as an unstaged change.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(sandbox): give the golden the agent-credential proxy routing so forks inherit it
Placeholders and the egress-proxy routing were only applied to sandboxes
created from an image; a fork merges just the workspace env, so a workspace
forked from the golden had no model credentials unless the environment's
secrets carried real keys. The golden is now created with the routing, and
the release probe checks that the proxy injects a working Anthropic key.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(trpc): give a forked sandbox its credential placeholders and proxy routing
A fork copies files and env, not network config, so workspaces forked from
an environment never had the egress proxy that injects the org's model keys.
The fork's spec update now carries the placeholders and the routing (the
fork restarts in seconds, before anything connects). Routing on the source
itself does not work: forks inherit its proxy variables as unresolved
templates and lose egress, so the golden stays without it and the release
probe checks a fork can reach Anthropic through the injected key.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY

* fix(trpc): wait for a forked sandbox to come back after its spec update
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(trpc,host-service): keep forks on the identity file; approve the model key for Claude Code at launch
A fork cannot be given the egress proxy: Blaxel only enables it at creation,
and the spec update that tried to add it rebuilt the fork from its image,
losing node_modules and everything else the environment carried (release
probe, 2026-09-02). Forks go back to the identity file that start.sh sources,
model keys come from the environment's variables, and host-service records
the ANTHROPIC_API_KEY approval Claude Code would otherwise stop to ask for.
The same spec update was stripping the promoter's env from a promoted golden,
which would have rebuilt that too. The golden keeps its env; each fork unsets
the identity it does not set itself in the file it boots from.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
* fix(trpc): keep main's env-only fork update; the identity file was stale
Env-only spec updates keep a fork's files (every release probe since #7053
passed "dependencies survive the fork" on that path); only the update that
enabled the proxy rebuilt the fork from its image. The identity file from
9fbeb0c5e was the answer to a behaviour Blaxel has since changed, and start.sh
no longer sources it, so the previous commit left host-service without its
env. Back to main's forkSandbox and promote, with the launch env names still
stripped from a promoted golden.

* fix(cloud-agents): review follow-ups
- naming: only a trailing period marks a reply; the 40-character tolerance is
stated next to the 20-character instruction
- mobile: one effective agent id under Cloud, so a laptop-only preset shows,
selects and launches as Claude consistently
- host-service: the launch marker is claimed before the launch and released
on failure; key approval honours CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR and never rewrites a
.claude.json it could not parse
- desktop: no host-agent query for the cloud sentinel; the assembled prompt is
bounded to the create input's cap
- api: the signed provision route validates the agent id too
- trpc: a promoted golden drops the launch marker and the db-branch stamp
- release probe: reads the stamp where it now lives and checks both providers

* fix(desktop,workspace-client): fall back to GET queries on host-services older than 1.24 (#7105)
* fix(desktop,workspace-client): fall back to GET queries on hosts older than 1.24
Since #6658 (1.24.0) both renderer host-service links send every query as
POST via methodOverride, and host-service accepts that with
allowMethodOverride from the same release. A host-service older than 1.24
rejects each POSTed query with METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED, which surfaces as
`Unsupported POST-request to query procedure at path
"settings.agentConfigs.list"` on Settings > Agents and as an empty agent
picker in the new-workspace composer.
Two ways a >=1.24 desktop reaches such a host: the coordinator adopts any
healthy host-service it finds in the org manifest without a version check
(one left running by an older CLI install or a second desktop channel), and
remote hosts at 1.21-1.23 pass MIN_HOST_SERVICE_VERSION but still reject
the override.
createHostServiceLinks now wraps the streaming batch link in retryLink +
splitLink: the first METHOD_NOT_SUPPORTED on a query marks that endpoint
as legacy and replays the query over GET; later queries to it go straight
to GET, mutations stay POST. Both the desktop's device-wide client and
WorkspaceClientProvider use the shared factory instead of duplicating the
link config.

host adopted via manifest.

* fix(workspace-client): re-probe POST after a legacy host restarts on the same endpoint
The legacy-endpoint set was permanent for the renderer session. The desktop
respawns a replaced host-service on the same port, so once a stale host was
killed and a current one came up at the same URL, every query stayed on GET
and large-input queries could hit the URL-length limit again. A transport-level
failure to the endpoint now clears its entry, so the next query tries POST.
Also asserts the positive branch of isMethodOverrideRejection directly.

* fix(ui): stop the app freezing after closing a dialog opened from a context menu (#7108)
* fix(ui): stop the app freezing after closing a dialog opened from a context menu
Desktop 1.25.1 stops responding to clicks after right-click → Delete →
Cancel (or Confirm) on a sidebar row: `document.body.style.pointerEvents`
is left at "none" with no dialog or menu in the DOM.
#6898 bumped @radix-ui/react-context-menu 2.2.16 → 2.3.7, which pulls
react-menu 2.1.24 and with it a second copy of
@radix-ui/react-dismissable-layer (1.1.19) next to the 1.1.11 copy that
react-dialog / react-alert-dialog 1.1.15 and every other Radix package
here use. The layer keeps its stack and the body-lock owner in module
state, so the two copies never coordinate: the menu's copy locks the
body, the alert dialog's copy records "none" as the value to restore,
and restores it on close. Deterministic, any host, any workspace.
Pin the context menu back to 2.2.16 so the renderer resolves one copy
again (the set that shipped before 1.25.1). Two tests keep it that way:
a dependency walk over packages/ui and apps/desktop that fails when
more than one dismissable-layer version resolves, and a DOM test of the
menu → alert dialog → close journey asserting the body lock is
released. Both fail on the split install and pass with the pin.
Verified over CDP on origin/main: frozen before, clickable after, with
only bun.lock and packages/ui/package.json changed.

* test(desktop): query the live document and key layer copies by directory
In a full-suite run an earlier file loads testing-library against a
previous happy-dom window, so `screen` stays bound to a stale body and the
pointer-lock test could not find its own render. Query through
`within(document.body)` and wait for the layers to unmount instead of
sleeping.
Key the dismissable-layer guard by resolved directory rather than version:
bun's store can hold two installs of one version with different peer sets,
and each is its own module instance.

* fix(workspace-client): value-compare relay preflight probes (#6953)
Every backoff attempt against a down host allocated a fresh but identical
`{ status: 503 }` probe object, and identity comparison turned each one
into a status "transition" broadcast to every subscriber: React commits on
every retry, for as long as the host stayed down. Compare probes by value
and keep the old probe object when nothing changed.

* fix(desktop): bump @tiptap/* to 3.30.4 for GHSA-cp6q-959q-f8rh (#7111)
Closes Dependabot alert #278. mergeAttributes() could turn an own __proto__ key into inherited executable DOM attributes in @tiptap/core < 3.30.4.
@tiptap/pm 3.30.4 no longer re-exports prosemirror-markdown, so the table serializer now depends on prosemirror-markdown directly.

* fix(usage): read the Claude Keychain login by account and keep Add account reachable (#7109)
* fix(host-service): read the Claude login Keychain item by account name
Claude Code files its Keychain item under the login user's account
($USER, else os.userInfo().username), and several items can share the
"Claude Code-credentials" service: its native build runs on Bun, whose
userInfo() reports "unknown" when USER is unset, so a CLI launched without
USER keeps a separate "unknown" identity. `security find-generic-password`
without -a returns whichever item comes first, and on a machine carrying
such a sibling (holding only MCP OAuth tokens) the host parsed no login and
the Usage tab showed no Claude row at all.
Probe the CLI's own account names first, then the unscoped lookup, and
treat every distinct secret as a candidate so the freshest valid login
wins. Applies to the default login and per-profile items alike.

* fix(desktop): keep the Claude and Codex quota sections visible with no login
#6987 started hiding every agent with no accounts so Grok and Antigravity
would not render empty placeholders, which also hid Claude Code and Codex
when the host found no login, and with them the "No logins" empty state
and the Add account button, leaving no way to add the missing account.
Move the section rule into visibleQuotaAgents: managed agents always
render, the rest once a login exists.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01D2sUAjSaSU9PBaiZzKRP59
* test(desktop): cover the logged-in Grok path in visibleQuotaAgents
The optional-agent case only asserted Antigravity's logged-in path, so a
regression that suppressed a logged-in Grok section would have passed.
Split the case per agent, add the hidden-while-absent case, and assert the
sections come back in display order rather than account order.
Addresses cubic review feedback on #7109.

* feat(desktop): add Copy Workspace ID to the workspace sidebar context menu (#7113)
Right-clicking a workspace row in the dashboard sidebar now offers "Copy Workspace ID", next to Copy Path and Copy Branch Name. It copies the workspace UUID (the same value the iOS row menu copies) and toasts "Workspace ID copied" via toast.promise. Three new Lingui strings, translated in all 17 locales.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01E8xjG4waa9ASX8HTYqoRyd
* feat(mobile): move the workspace PR link beside the quick keys (#7116)
The pull request chip sat at the head of the session tab strip. It moves
to its own square ahead of the quick-key bar, a peer of the bar rather
than a key in it: the keys scroll, it does not, and it shares the bar's
fill, corner and height so the row reads as one strip with a break in it.
It is inserted, not reserved. A reserved slot was built first and read as
a dead control at the head of the row on every workspace without a pull
request, which is most of them for most of their life. So the bar has
the whole row until a pull request exists, and the keys slide over once
when it arrives, inside the same growth transaction everything else in
the cluster uses.
The bar now fills its row on every phone. Nine keys are narrower than a
Pro Max and wider than an iPhone 17 once the chip has taken its share, so
neither hugging the keys nor filling the row was right on its own: one
left a stub of empty row after the bar, the other a stretch of empty
panel after the last key. A small custom Layout splits any spare width
evenly between the keys, hairlines excluded, and falls back to the
keys' natural width and scrolling when there is none. It is a Layout
rather than flexible frames because inside a horizontal scroll view a
maxWidth of infinity means infinite, not the viewport.
Renamed end to end since it no longer belongs to the strip:
ComposerSessionAction is ComposerQuickKeysAction in its own file, the
prop is quickKeysAction and the event onQuickKeysActionPress. The strip
is back to tabs plus its trailing controls. Routing, tints and labels
are unchanged.
* fix(api): stop the automation sweep and retention jobs from stacking (#7114)
* fix(api): stop the automation sweep and retention jobs from stacking
The redispatch sweep now looks back 24 hours, so it no longer walks the
~1.2M never-dispatchable rows at the left edge of the undispatched index
on every tick, and the three QStash-scheduled jobs take a job-scoped
advisory lock so overlapping ticks skip instead of stacking. prune-payloads
gets the same maxDuration as enforce-retention.
* docs(api): say why singleFlight locks per batch
* docs(api): describe the batch transaction as short, not one statement
* test(agent-setup): make the missing-state-file case remove the file where the reader looks
The test assumed afterEach's TEST_HOME cleanup was enough, but when a
sibling file's top-level hook leaves SUPERSET_HOME_DIR pointing elsewhere
the previous test's write survives and the read returns it. Failed 3 of 4
CI runs on #7114 and passes locally.
* fix(desktop): sidebar folder drags without layout shift, draggable Sessions tag folders (#7112)
Folder drags sort units instead of collapsing the project's folders (ghost stays under the cursor); Sessions tag groups are real folders (drag as units, drop in/out, order/collapse persist); the drop-to-pin target floats so pickup never shifts the list. Includes the unit-rect cache and review follow-ups.

* fix(desktop): run bulk workspace delete in the background instead of behind a modal (#7119)
* fix(desktop): run bulk workspace delete in the background instead of behind a modal
The sidebar bulk delete dialog awaited every destroy with its modal open, so
deleting a few workspaces with teardown scripts locked the whole app for the
duration. The context-menu copy of the dialog was also mounted under a row, so
archive-first tombstoning unmounted it after the first destroy and the rest of
the run had no progress or failure UI.
Move the dialog to a single sidebar-root mount driven by a request store, close
it on confirm, run the destroys behind a progress toast (same shape as the
single delete), and re-raise the failures pane afterwards when needed.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_014noz3dxcSGgRRd5Tf35x1g
* fix(desktop): keep bulk delete phase and failures in the intent store
The sidebar unmounts when toggled closed, taking the bulk delete dialog with
it. A run in flight then wrote its failures into a discarded hook instance,
and reopening the sidebar showed a fresh confirm dialog for the latched
targets. Move the request's phase (confirm / running / failed) and failures
into the store so a remounted dialog resumes where the run is: nothing while
it runs, the failures pane afterwards.

* feat(desktop): leaderboard rank card on Settings → Usage (#7118)
* feat(desktop): leaderboard rank card on Settings → Usage
Replace the opt-in prompt on the Usage page with a card that covers both
states. Opted in: the rank as the headline with the user's own tier badge,
a tokens/handle subtitle, and a league slice of the row above, you, and
the row below with the token gap to pass. Not opted in: a tease with the
real local 30-day total and a blurred rank slot that opens the join dialog.
The card is one flat surface and collapsible; the trophy is the fold toggle
and swaps to a chevron on hover. Collapsed state persists in a registered
localStorage key. Neighbours never show real handles or names, only stable
factory aliases by rank. useLeaderboardOptIn takes a period and invalidates
the whole membership prefix on join/leave so both surfaces refresh.

* chore(i18n): extract leaderboard card strings
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01B3JKN7BWRiAvHACTbvQU4a
* chore(i18n): translate new strings across enabled locales
* fix(desktop): export NeighborRow type and pass frame props in card tests
tsc was being piped through tail locally, so its non-zero exit never
surfaced. CI caught the missing type re-export from the RankNeighbors
index and two test renders that predate the collapsible frame props.

Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01B3JKN7BWRiAvHACTbvQU4a

They already opted in; the reassurance belongs to the prompt and the
join dialog, not the rank view.

* feat(analytics): tag events with the app locale and track language changes (#7122)
* feat(analytics): tag events with the app locale and track language changes
The 17-locale release (1.25.1) shipped with no locale telemetry: nothing
recorded which language a user sees or whether they changed it, so
adoption and opt-outs were only guessable from $browser_language.
- PostHogLocaleTagger registers app_locale and app_locale_source
(setting|system) as super properties and mirrors them to the person,
waiting for the intended catalog so a non-English boot never records a
transitional English session.
- language_changed {from, to, surface} on the settings and onboarding
pickers; language_switched on the marketing footer picker.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01GGjG5PLSdViCcBWxFNkNsQ
* feat(analytics): tag marketing, docs, and web events with the locale
- inferLocaleWithSource() reports whether the inferred locale came from the
switcher cookie or the browser; LanguageSwitcher gets an onChange hook so
apps can record a switch before the reload.
- marketing registers app_locale from <html lang> (source "url"); docs and
web register the inferred locale (source "cookie" | "system") before the
first pageview. The docs navbar switcher emits language_switched.
- web: posthog.reset() on a signed-out session was wiping app_name and domain
from every later event; base properties are re-registered after it.

* feat(desktop): one Changes surface with an integrated top-bar ship flow (#7102)
* feat(desktop): bring the Changes pane to PR-code-view parity and link to the in-app PR view
The v2 Changes pane (DiffPane) now renders like the PR view's Code tab:
card-per-file diffs (rounded borders, shadows, 16px gaps), filename-first
headers with colored +/- counts, always-visible collapse chevrons, a
resizable in-pane file tree with +/- row decorations and click-to-navigate,
and a toolbar with a Files pill, collapse/expand-all, prev/next comment
navigation, and the unified/split toggles (moved out of the pane header).
The styling and toolbar/header pieces are extracted from PullRequestCodeTab
into shared code rather than copied: useDiffCardCodeViewTheme +
diffCardUnsafeCss beside the shared theme hook, DiffViewToolbar /
DiffFileHeaderName / DiffFileCollapseButton under screens/main/components,
and formatDiffStats + buildCollisionSafeTreePaths promoted into
renderer/lib/pierreTree. The PR tab consumes all of them (and drops ~300
lines).
When the workspace's branch has a linked PR, the pane header shows a
PRIcon + #number chip that opens the in-app /pull-requests/$prNumber view
(every other PR affordance links to github.com).
Fixes found while verifying live over CDP: the filename-suffix slot wrapper
now shrinks (min-width:0) so long paths ellipsize instead of painting under
the +/- counts (latent in the PR tab too); collapsing the sticky navigation
target releases the target so collapse-all can't be undone by the scroll
hook; and a recreated pane resets the previous pane's manual tree
choice/width (same-kind panes share one unkeyed component instance).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* feat(desktop): make the Changes pane the one Changes surface
The changed-files tree existed twice — the sidebar's Changes tab and the
pane's own simple tree. The sidebar tab's full content (branch header with
rename + base-branch selector, commit/range filter, totals, view-mode
toggle, refresh, sectioned Unstaged/Staged/Against-base/Committed lists
with section staging, hover discard, context menus, drag-to-terminal, and
the click policy) now lives in the Changes pane's left panel as
ChangesPanel, replacing DiffFileTree, and the sidebar drops to Files /
Review.
Panel clicks are remapped for pane life: plain/⌘ clicks navigate the
owning pane through its own pane-data write (openDiffPane targets the
first diff pane in tab order, which is wrong from inside a pane), ⇧-tier
clicks open a separate diff tab via a new onOpenDiffInNewTab prop, and the
selection echo now follows the pane's current file. The pane shell always
renders — the empty/loading message moved into the diff column — so the
filter controls stay reachable exactly when the current filter yields
nothing. Panel sizing adopts the sidebar's 240–640 range (default 320).
Entry points replace the lost tab: a top-bar Changes pill (hidden when
clean, unique-path +A/−D, click focuses-or-creates), a "+"-menu item, an
empty-state action, and the ⌘⇧L hotkey — all through one
openChangesPaneInStore. Git-status polling is now unconditional while a
workspace is open (the pill needs it; the query is event-driven, and the
sidebar default meant it was effectively always-on already).
Retirement follows the pages-tab precedent: the "changes" tab id is
removed from the sidebar schema and persisted rows heal to "files"; the
write-only v2 rightSidebarTab preference setter is deleted; hotkey labels
are updated ("Toggle Sidebar", "Open Changes"). Three new i18n messages
are translated across all 16 locales, and the retitled hotkey labels'
translations are refreshed to clear the stale-translation check.
Verified live over CDP: pill stats and focus-not-duplicate, panel
navigation/filter round-trip, section staging UI, narrow-pane auto-hide
with Files-pill reopen, sidebar heal to Files, and the PR chip still
working; zero console errors.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(panes): give the pane header strip a background
The h-7 header row rendered transparent against the pane body, so the
title/actions strip had no visual separation from content. It now carries
bg-muted/30 with a border-border/20 hairline below — the same tint family
as the diff section bar and toolbar pills — across every pane kind.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): clearer Files-toggle state, PR button, and pane hairline consistency
- The Files pill (shared DiffViewToolbar, so the PR Code tab too) now shows
its state: filled bg-secondary/text-foreground while the panel is open,
ghost with hover while closed, plus aria-pressed.
- The pane-header PR chip is now an actual button — bordered chip
(border-border/60, bg-muted/30, hover accent) with the state-tinted PR
icon and a foreground #number — instead of a faint ghost link.
- Hairlines unified on border-border/20: the DiffSectionBar's full-opacity
border-b and the missing panel/diff divider (border-r on the panel's
ResizablePanel) now match the toolbar and pane-header strips.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* refactor(desktop): consolidate the sidebar PR cluster into the top-bar Changes control
The workspace sidebar's PR badge (status icon, number, check indicators,
merge dropdown, hover detail card) moves out of PRActionHeader and joins
the Changes pill in the tab bar as one ChangesControl cluster: diff stats
on the left opening the Changes pane, the PR badge on the right opening
the in-app PR view (github.com fallback for project-less session
workspaces), with the dropdown carrying merge actions plus View on
GitHub. Loading/unavailable/no-pr states simply hide the badge — no dead
"Create PR coming soon" affordance in the top bar.
PRActionHeader keeps only the drag region and open-in button;
computeChecksStatus is promoted to the workspace-level utils since the
Review tab consumes it too.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* feat(desktop,host-service): commit/push/create-PR ship flow in the Changes control
The top-bar Changes cluster's no-PR half becomes a progressive ship
action: uncommitted changes show Commit (message popover, stage-all +
commit), a clean branch shows Create PR (title prefilled from the
latest commit subject, optional description, draft toggle; pushes
first when the branch is unpublished or ahead), and a chevron menu
offers Push on its own. Once the PR exists the cluster hands over to
the existing PR badge, so the whole branch lifecycle lives in one
control.
Host-service grows the three procedures behind it: git.commit and
git.push (upstream set on first push), and
pullRequests.createForWorkspace, which resolves the head branch, its
configured base (falling back to the repo default), and the project's
live GitHub repo, then refreshes the workspace's PR link immediately
instead of waiting out the next background sync tick. Real-repo tests
cover commit and push against a local bare remote.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(desktop): gate Create PR on commits ahead and default the commit message
Create PR now disables (with a tooltip) when the branch has no commits
ahead of its base, instead of letting GitHub reject the create with a
validation error — the ship control watches the same listCommits feed
that prefills the PR title. An empty commit-message box no longer
blocks committing: the message falls back to a generated
"Update <file>" / "Update N files" summary, shown as the placeholder.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): name the diff toolbar's comment navigation cluster
Bare up/down chevrons next to a counter read as generic paging; a
message icon and a "Comments" label in front make the cluster's job
obvious at a glance on both the PR Code tab and the Changes pane.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): converge the Changes control to a single face
One face at a time instead of two side-by-side pills: before a PR
exists the face is the diff stats (opening the Changes pane) with
Commit / Push / Create PR folded into the chevron menu — or the ship
action itself once the tree is clean; once a PR exists the face is the
PR badge alone, with the line-diff numbers gone and "Open changes"
joining its menu. The commit and create-PR popovers anchor to the whole
control so the compact menu items and full-mode faces share one
Popover, and the parent shell now owns the border, rounding, and fill
for every segment.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): raise the Changes pane tree auto-hide breakpoint to 820px
At 700 a min-width tree left only ~460px of diff — cramped enough that
the panel felt in the way well before it hid. 820 keeps ~580px of diff
as the floor; the Files pill still reopens the tree manually below it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(desktop): stop the ship popover dismissing itself when opened from the menu
Opening Commit/Create PR from the compact chevron menu flashed the
popover and closed it: the menu content stays mounted through its exit
animation and keeps reclaiming focus, so the popover's autofocused
field lost focus milliseconds after opening and the popover dismissed
as focus-outside. Menu items now only record which form to open; the
menu's onCloseAutoFocus — fired once its focus scope is genuinely torn
down — opens the popover and suppresses the focus-return to the
chevron, which would equally read as focus-outside.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(desktop): make the PR title field editable in the ship popover
The title rendered `prTitle || latestSubject`, so clearing the field
snapped the prefill straight back and the input felt dead. The latest
commit subject now seeds the state once when the PR form opens, and the
input is plainly controlled after that — clearing it stays cleared
(with the submit disabled) and typing lands normally.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(host-service): push workspace branches under their own name
Workspace branches fork from the base branch, so autoSetupMerge leaves
them tracking e.g. origin/main — the plain `git push` the ship flow ran
refused the name mismatch ("upstream branch ... does not match"), and
honoring that upstream would mean pushing to main. git.push now plain-
pushes only when the upstream already is the branch's own remote ref;
otherwise it publishes `HEAD:refs/heads/<branch>` on the upstream's
remote (origin fallback) with --set-upstream, mirroring the v1 push
flow. Regression test covers the tracking-the-base case: the branch
lands under its own name, main is untouched, and the upstream re-points.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(host-service): re-sync workspace refs before an on-demand PR refresh
refreshPullRequestsByWorkspaces jumped straight to the project refresh,
which matches PRs to workspaces by the row's recorded upstream branch —
but its callers run right after changing git state (first push, PR
create, merge), exactly when that row is stale. A workspace still
recorded as tracking the base branch it forked from made the sweep look
for a PR with the base as its head, find none, and leave the freshly
created PR unlinked until a background watcher pass. The refresh now
re-reads each workspace's git refs first, so the create-PR flow links
(and the UI flips to the PR badge) immediately.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* feat(desktop): PR-created toast carries the URL and an Open action
The success toast now shows the new PR's URL as its description and an
Open action that jumps to the in-app PR view — same navigation as the
PR badge's own click.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): PR-created toast links "PR URL" instead of printing the address
The raw URL string in the toast description wasn't clickable and
wrapped awkwardly; it's now an underlined "PR URL" link opening the PR
on GitHub, alongside the Open action that jumps to the in-app view.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* feat(desktop): mark a draft PR ready for review from the PR badge menu
Draft PRs get a "Ready for review" item at the top of the badge
dropdown, wired to the existing github.markPullRequestReady procedure
with the same toast + immediate-refresh pattern as merging, so the
badge tint flips from draft to open as soon as GitHub confirms.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(host-service): format commit-push test
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* chore(i18n): drop obsolete commitMessagePlaceholder entries from catalogs
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): PR badge click opens the Changes pane, PR view moves to its menu
The badge replaced the diff-stat pill as the control's face, so its
click keeps that pill's job — opening the Changes pane — instead of
navigating away to the PR view. The in-app PR view becomes an "Open
pull request" menu entry (hidden for project-less session workspaces,
which keep the github.com fallback on the face), alongside merge
actions, ready-for-review, and View on GitHub.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix: address the valid review findings on the Changes control and ship flow
From the PR #7102 bot reviews, the findings that verified as real:
- host-service: refreshPullRequestsByWorkspaces routes its ref re-reads
through enqueueWorkspaceSync so an overlapping watcher sync can't
interleave with the read+write and clobber a newer snapshot.
- host-service: git.push honors a PR checkout's deliberately
different-name upstream — when the tracked branch is the linked PR's
head, the push updates that branch and keeps the tracking, instead of
publishing a new branch under the local name. Tracking a local branch
("." remote) no longer misreads the bare upstream name as a remote.
- desktop: PRActionHeader regains @container, which the open-in
button's @[320px] label queries need; without it the label could
never appear.
- desktop: committing from the ship control refetches listCommits
immediately, so Create PR doesn't sit disabled on pre-commit data for
up to 10s.
- desktop: the PR-title prefill seeds late when the form opened before
listCommits resolved, without overwriting anything the user typed or
deliberately cleared.
- desktop: "Ready for review" is hidden for closed/merged drafts —
GitHub rejects that transition.
- desktop: the diff-stat face gets focus-visible styles to match its
sibling segments.
- host-service: the detached-HEAD push test asserts the BAD_REQUEST
code, and a new test covers the PR-checkout push retarget.

* fix(desktop): change-key-aware panel selection and a first-comment default
Two Changes-panel selection fixes plus a comment-nav default:
- A path changed in several sections (staged + unstaged) no longer
highlights every copy: the pane's selected change-key threads down to
the panel, and only the section holding the open change echoes the
selection.
- Folders view now highlights the diff pane's open file like tree view
does (FileRow grows an isSelected state).
- The toolbar's comment counter defaults to the first thread (1/N)
instead of "–/N" when comments exist; the first "next" click still
scrolls to that first thread rather than skipping past it.

* style(desktop): collapse the Changes panel header into one scope row
The panel opened with three rows of chrome that said the same thing
three ways — a branch/base row, a filter row with duplicate totals, and
a 40px band holding three icon buttons. It's now a single sentence-like
row: the scope dropdown ("All changes", a commit, a range) followed by
"vs <base>" with the base selector inline while the scope is measured
against the base, and the view-mode/fold utilities right-aligned.
The branch name and its rename action move into the scope dropdown's
foot (rename opens via the deferred-open pattern the menu teardown
requires); the header's file/± totals move onto each section header as
right-aligned per-section diffstats; the manual refresh button is gone
— status is watcher-driven; and the folders view's root group is
labeled "./" so it reads like a path beside its sibling folders.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): rename the panel scope "All changes" to "All commits"
The scope shows every commit ahead of the base (plus uncommitted work),
and the dropdown beneath it is a commit picker — "All commits vs main"
names what it actually maps to.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* style(desktop): scope trigger reads "Commits N" at rest
The trigger is now a category chip like the PR view's Code tab —
"Commits 27 vs main" — with the count muted next to the label; picking
a commit, range, or Uncommitted still swaps the chip for that value.
"All commits" stays the checked first entry inside the menu.

* fix(desktop,host-service): harden the create-PR flow and label its destination
Three create-PR flow fixes from the review backlog:
- createForWorkspace scopes its try to the GitHub call: a refresh
hiccup after the PR was created no longer rethrows as "GitHub refused
to create the pull request" (retrying which hit "already exists");
the background sync heals the link on its next pass.
- The flow pushes through a toast-less mutation instance, so no stray
"Pushed" success toast mid-flow and no duplicate error toast
mislabeling a push failure as a create failure — push-phase errors
now report as "Push failed" on the flow's own toast.
- The flow always pushes before creating instead of trusting the
10s-stale branch-sync snapshot, which could open the PR at the old
remote tip right after a terminal commit. Pushing an already-synced
branch is a no-op.
And the pane header's PR chip reads "Open PR #N →" instead of a bare
number badge, so it's obvious it navigates into the expanded PR view.

* feat(desktop): setting for how the Changes control opens — pane or tab
Settings → General gains "Changes open target": the top-bar Changes
control (and ⌘⇧L) either splits the active tab with a Changes pane —
the new default, keeping the user in their current context — or
focuses/creates a dedicated Changes tab (the old behavior). Pane mode
reuses the active tab's existing diff pane rather than splitting again;
an empty workspace still gets a fresh tab. Stored in the renderer's
persisted settings singleton; registered in settings search as a
v2-only item.

* fix(host-service,desktop): stop offering dead terminal agents in the diff composer
Sending a diff comment to an agent could fail with "Terminal session
not found or not alive": the reaper only reconciled one direction —
killing daemon sessions whose rows were dead — so a session row stuck
`active` after a daemon death (crash, kill, reboot) haunted
listLiveByWorkspace forever, and the composer kept offering an agent
whose pty was gone.
The reap pass now also flips daemon-lost `active` rows to `exited`
once daemon.list() has answered (its list is authoritative), guarded
by the in-memory-live check against a racy list and a 60s spawn grace
window for freshly inserted rows. Pure planner + tests.
Renderer defense: a failed send invalidates the agent-bindings query,
so the dead target drops out of the composer immediately instead of
after the 30s stale window.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(host-service): raise the stdout cap for PR diff fetches
Loading the Code tab of a large PR failed with "stdout maxBuffer
length exceeded": gh pr diff of a changeset touching generated
single-line files (locale catalogs, lockfiles) blows past execGh's
10MB default. The diff call now passes a 200MB cap through a new
per-call maxBuffer option; every other gh invocation keeps the 10MB
default. The renderer already lazy-hides oversized/generated files
per-file, so delivering the larger payload is safe.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix: address the second review pass on the Changes surface
- ShipControl's flow push refreshes branch state on success, so a push
landing right before a failed PR create is reflected immediately.
- The reaper's stale sweep preserves dispose intent: a daemon-lost row
with a pending dispose becomes "disposed", not "exited" — an
explicitly killed session must not resurface as a resume candidate.
- The Behavior page's selects (Changes open target, and the
pre-existing File open mode) are associated with their labels for
assistive tech.
- Translation polish from review: Korean pane term (패널, not 창),
Italian label, Dutch hint, Indonesian label + hint.
- The tree view's change-key echo documents the Pierre limitation (no
deselect API) behind the residual cross-section highlight.
- Shared DiffStatText renders the +N/−N pair for file rows and section
headers, unifying the minus glyph the two copies disagreed on.
- Picking the repo default as base clears the override (null) instead
of pinning it, so the workspace follows a later default change.
- The settings layout's search total and section auto-navigation use
the variant-filtered counts the sidebar already uses, so hidden
v1-/v2-only items are never reported as matches.

* fix(host-service): run ship-flow git work in the worker pool
CI's event-loop ratchet caught the new commit/push/create-PR
procedures spawning git via ctx.git() on the main loop. The git work
now runs as worker tasks (gitCommitTask, gitPushTask,
gitPrHeadBaseTask) with the credential env resolved on-loop and passed
as data, following the gitStatusSnapshotTask pattern; the procedures
keep only the db reads and TRPCError mapping. git.ts is back at its
allowed ctx.git() count and create-for-workspace at zero.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG
* fix(desktop): gate Create PR against the configured base and explain the disabled state
The ship control counted commits ahead against the repo default branch
while createForWorkspace opens the PR against branch.<name>.base — on a
stacked branch the gate enabled exactly when GitHub would reject the
create (and vice versa). The gate now reads getBaseBranch and passes it
into listCommits, deduping with the Changes panel's identical queries.
In compact mode the disabled Create PR menu item could never show its
explanation: a disabled Radix item is pointer-events-none, so the title
tooltip is unreachable. The item now stays interactive when there are no
commits ahead — greyed, and clicking it toasts the explanation instead
of opening the form.

* feat(mobile): show the Copied notice after Copy ID on a workspace row (#7117)
Copy ID in the home screen's workspace row menu wrote the id silently. It now raises the same HeaderNotice pill the workspace and pull request screens use for their copies; HeaderNotice moves to the shared (authenticated)/components folder. One new Lingui string, translated in all 17 locales.

* fix(host-service): keep a swept terminal's agent session resumable
The stale-row sweep from #7102 flips a daemon-lost `active` row to `exited`
but leaves its agent binding open. The binding is then neither live (live
reads require `active`) nor resumable (the resume predicate requires
`endedAt` and `endReason = terminal-exited`), so the session stays
unresumable for the rest of this host-service's life — until the next
restart, when `sweepDefunct` backfills it as `terminal-exited` at boot.
Before the sweep the row stayed `active` until someone reopened the pane,
and that attach respawned the terminal and ended the binding on the way
through. Now the attach answers session-gone first, and nothing else ends
it while the process runs: `sweepAgentBindingsAfterDaemonLoss` takes its
candidates from this process's in-memory sessions, and a row inherited
across a restart has none.
End the binding for the rows the sweep actually flipped to `exited`, the
same way the pty exit callback and the lazy respawn do, so the session is
resumable in the host-service where the terminal died rather than only
after a restart. A binding that was already ended keeps its own stamp;
only a previously open one takes the row's `endedAt`. Dispose-stamped rows
keep their current behavior: a session the user killed must not come back
as a resume candidate.
* fix(host-service): make the sweep's exit flip and binding stamp one step
Three corrections on the same seam between a terminal row's status and its
agent binding.
The binding stamp was best-effort after a committed status flip. When it
failed the row was already `exited` — out of every live read, never
reconsidered by this sweep, unreachable by the attach that would have ended
the binding — so the session stayed unresumable for the rest of the
process's life: the exact failure this branch set out to fix. The flip and
the stamp now run in one transaction per row, both or neither, and a failed
binding write leaves the row `active` for the next pass to retry. Per row,
so one bad row costs only itself.
Two disposal orderings could leave a terminal the user killed with a
resumable binding, which auto-resume brings back at the next pane mount:
- A dispose that stamps its durable intent after the plan's snapshot was
taken. The transaction re-reads `disposeRequestedAt` and refuses the flip,
so the row stays `active` and the next pass condemns it as `disposed`.
- A dispose that arrives after the sweep already stamped "terminal-exited".
`markTerminalAgentBindingEnded` now lets "disposed" override an end reason
that beat it, keeping the first writer's `endedAt`. It stays sticky the
other way: a later terminal-death stamp still cannot revive a disposed
binding, and the account-switch restart — which marks "terminal-exited"
and then disposes on purpose — keeps its resume candidate.
The live/fresh test passed an empty row map with a non-empty `liveSessions`,
so the sweep trusted that map, evaluated no rows and asserted nothing. It
now passes the snapshot the reaper itself loads and includes a row that is
actually swept, which is what proves the policy ran.
* fix(host-service): sweep only the agent session the daemon probe judged
The stale-active sweep decides a terminal is dead from a daemon list, then
ends whatever binding owns that terminal when its transaction commits. Those
are not the same binding. Getting a daemon client and its session list is a
real wait, and an attach landing inside it respawns the terminal: the lost
pty's binding is ended and the new shell's agent binds a fresh session to the
same terminal id. The sweep then ended that fresh session's binding — hiding
a live agent from every read — and committed `exited` on its row, which
strands it for good: the row leaves `active`, so no later pass reconsiders it
and an attach answers session-gone.
Capture each terminal's bound agent session id before the probe starts and
require the same id inside the row/binding transaction. Same ownership model
as `sweepAgentBindingsAfterDaemonLoss`, which already snapshots this value
per candidate before its own daemon probe. The capture rides with the probe's
result, so a caller coalesced onto an in-flight sync gets the ownership that
held when that sync began, not when it called.
A binding that was replaced, or that appeared during the probe, is left
entirely alone — neither write lands, and the row stays `active` for the next
pass to re-probe. A binding with no concrete session id is no baseline to
claim ownership by, the same reason the daemon-loss sweep leaves those
untouched, so its row is skipped too: those bindings are never resume
candidates, so there is little to win on them and a live agent to lose. A
terminal with no binding at either point has nothing to strand and is swept
as before.
* fix(host-service): sweep every daemon-lost row; only a resumable stamp yields to dispose
The reaper's plan already skips any terminal that is live in this process,
which is where a pty respawned during the daemon probe lands before a new
agent session can bind to it, so the pre-probe ownership snapshot never
had a case to catch. What it did do was leave a daemon-lost row whose
binding has no session id `active` forever, the very haunting #7102
removed. Drop the snapshot and sweep those rows like any other; their
bindings end `terminal-exited` and are never resume candidates anyway.
A dispose now overrides only a `terminal-exited` stamp, the one state
auto-resume would act on. A `resumed` claim (resume cleanup disposes the
old terminal after claiming) and a clean `detached` are already final and
keep the reason that tells their history.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01WxLSsFqtzhuy8aw8BzvQi2
* refactor(host-service): sweep daemon-lost rows in one transaction
The row snapshot, the plan and the writes all run in one synchronous
tick, so the per-row helper's dispose re-check guarded a race that
cannot happen, and per-row rollback bought nothing a single transaction
does not: if the binding stamp fails the whole sweep rolls back and the
reap pass logs it, as it already did. Fold the helper into
markStaleActiveRows, stamp only the rows the guarded update actually
flipped, and give persistence one db type for the transaction handle.

* fix(host-service,shared): correct Sonnet 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol rates, price Mythos 5.1 cache reads, pin the new picker tests
- GPT-5.6 Sol is on $4/$20 promotional pricing through at least 2026-11-21;
the bare `gpt-5.6` id follows it as before.
- Tests now pin Fable 5.1's Pinned releases group, the matched cacheReadPerM
(direct and vendor-qualified), and the default branch of cacheSavingsUsd.

* Internal environment release pipeline (sandbox:release) (#7093)
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01HmfE4Qm77AwKUxJeFVMetY
Release probes skip the branch so a pipeline run leaves nothing behind;

* Launch a built-in agent when a cloud workspace is created (#7107)
* feat(cloud-workspaces): launch a built-in agent when a cloud workspace is created

* fix(cloud-agents): review follow-ups
- docs: the two older credential entries point at the fork exception

Verified against the real superset-host binaries from the cli-v1.23.0 and
cli-v1.25.1 releases, and end to end in the dev desktop with the 1.23.0
host adopted via manifest.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_018GpzahQefv2y8yE4U8i6bn

* fix(workspace-client): value-compare relay preflight probes (#6953)

* fix(desktop): bump @tiptap/* to 3.30.4 for GHSA-cp6q-959q-f8rh (#7111)

- web: posthog.reset() on a signed-out session was wiping app_name and domain
from every later event; base properties are re-registered after it.

PRActionHeader keeps only the drag region and open-in button;
computeChecksStatus is promoted to the workspace-level utils since the
Review tab consumes it too.
Workspace branches fork from the base branch, so autoSetupMerge leaves
them tracking e.g. origin/main — the plain `git push` the ship flow ran
refused the name mismatch ("upstream branch ... does not match"), and
honoring that upstream would mean pushing to main. git.push now plain-
pushes only when the upstream already is the branch's own remote ref;
otherwise it publishes `HEAD:refs/heads/<branch>` on the upstream's
remote (origin fallback) with --set-upstream, mirroring the v1 push

* fix(desktop): change-key-aware panel selection and a first-comment default

- createForWorkspace scopes its try to the GitHub call: a refresh
hiccup after the PR was created no longer rethrows as "GitHub refused
to create the pull request" (retrying which hit "already exists");
the background sync heals the link on its next pass.

Pane mode
reuses the active tab's existing diff pane rather than splitting again;
an empty workspace still gets a fresh tab. Stored in the renderer's
persisted settings singleton; registered in settings search as a
v2-only item.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0185mve7uXCJud6RUoYZHzCG

* feat(sdk, cli): SDK usage telemetry and client identity headers for the SDK and CLI (#7135)
* feat(sdk): report sdk_method_called telemetry and identify the SDK to the API
Every public resource method now reports one `sdk_method_called` event to
`analytics.captureEvent` after it settles (method, sdk_version, sdk_lang,
runtime, target, success, duration_ms), the way the CLI reports
`cli_command_invoked`. The report hangs off a branch of the response
promise, so it cannot delay, fail, or retry the caller's request; the
capture itself is not reported. `SUPERSET_TELEMETRY=0` opts out.
Cloud requests also send `x-superset-client: sdk/<version>`, and the API's
client-header parser accepts `sdk`, so version gating and
`api_procedure_called` learn about SDK versions.
The tRPC helpers take a `{ method, procedure }` call descriptor so the
event reports the public method name rather than the wire path. The
hand-written telemetry lives in `src/lib/`, the directory the Stainless
generator never touches. `VERSION` is bumped to the published alpha.12;
it had been left at alpha.7.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ckhb622VMbkDVoaKsjVTqg
* chore(sdk): stamp src/version.ts from package.json at build time
VERSION had drifted five releases behind package.json. The build now
rewrites src/version.ts from package.json before bundling, so the
published User-Agent, x-superset-client, and sdk_version always match.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ckhb622VMbkDVoaKsjVTqg
* docs(sdk): note in the build script that version.ts is stamped, never hand-edited
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ckhb622VMbkDVoaKsjVTqg
* feat(cli): send x-superset-client: cli/<version> to the API
Desktop and mobile identify themselves with this header; the CLI never
did, so its API errors carried no client tag in Sentry and its procedure
usage never reached api_procedure_called. The server already accepts cli.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Ckhb622VMbkDVoaKsjVTqg
* fix(sdk): report telemetry success only after the tRPC envelope parses
Review finding: the hook fired when the HTTP response arrived, so a 2xx
with a malformed body logged success while the caller's promise rejected.
The hook now lives in the APIPromise parse step, which also owns the
envelope unwrap: success after the caller's data resolves, failure on
transport, HTTP, or parse errors, duration through final settlement. It
still never sits in the caller's chain and does not force a parse on
asResponse() callers.

* feat(shared,host-service): add GPT-6 Astra to the Codex model picker and pricing table (#7137)
OpenAI shipped GPT-6 Astra (gpt-6-astra) on 2026-09-03. Offer it in the
Codex picker and the Superset chat catalog, let it take Codex's `max`
effort, and price it at $10/$50 per MTok in the usage history table.
The id comes from OpenAI's API and Codex model docs. The rollout is
account by account and this login's live Codex catalog (app-server
model/list on 0.152.1 and 0.153.0) does not list it yet, so `ultra` and
the opencode/OMP/cursor-agent pickers wait for a catalog that carries it.

* feat(desktop): sort and filter projects in the dashboard sidebar (#7140)
* feat(host-service): persist workspace lastActivityAt from agent hook events
Add a nullable `last_activity_at` column to the host's workspaces table,
stamped at insert and touched by `notifications.hook` on every normalized
agent lifecycle event (30 s throttle per workspace). Only that column moves:
`updatedAt` stays a metadata signal, and no analytics fire. The touch
broadcasts `workspace:changed` as `updated`, so renderers get the new value
over their existing event-bus subscription. The snapshot type and
`workspace.list` carry the column; rows that predate it stay null.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_018Qkro1SUexTCVJpw4CE58i
* feat(desktop): sort and filter projects in the dashboard sidebar
Adds a sort menu (Manual order / Last active / Date created) and an inline
filter to the Projects header. "Last active" ranks workspaces, folders, and
projects by the host-stamped `lastActivityAt` (falling back to `updatedAt`
for rows from a host that predates the column), never by metadata writes.
Sorting and filtering are derived views over the manual order, so switching
back to Manual restores the exact drag order; every drag is inert while a
non-manual sort or a filter is active (the shared DndContext's sensors are
gated at their activators, so the sensor list never changes shape). The
sort mode persists in `v2UserPreferences` and heals a retired value to
manual. Timestamps are coerced NaN-safely so cached string dates can never
crash the sidebar again.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_018Qkro1SUexTCVJpw4CE58i
* chore(i18n): translate new strings across enabled locales
* fix(desktop): address sidebar sort/filter review findings
- Keep the "Projects" accessible name on the section header strip while the
filter input takes its row (aria-label), so the toggle is never an
unnamed button.
- Close the filter when the Projects section collapses; an open input over a
hidden list was the icon-rail "invisible filter" case by another route.
- Keep a row's cached `lastActivityAt` when an older host's `updated` event
omits the field, mirroring how tags are kept.
- Skip the persisted collapse toggle for ⌘1–⌘9 while a filter is active:
the filtered view already shows matches expanded through derived objects.

* chore(i18n): drop the CI translation bot; agents translate in the PR (#7091)
* chore(i18n): drop the CI translation bot; agents translate in the PR
The Translate Catalogs workflow filled missing translations with Claude and
pushed a commit onto every PR that added a string, which left the agent's
branch behind its own PR. Remove it, the translator script, and the Anthropic
SDK dependency; the agent writing the string now writes its translations.
While here, make the i18n check trustworthy and linter-shaped:
- Run lingui through `bunx --bun … --workers 1`. The raw bin is a silent no-op
under Node <22.18, and under Bun's worker pool `compile --strict` exits 0 on
failure; single-threaded under Bun it exits 1 and lists each missing id.
- Add root `check:i18n` (extract + strict compile + stale audit, ~7s) beside
lint/typecheck/test, and drop the pretypecheck hook that re-ran extract on
every typecheck. CI adds a diff against HEAD to catch uncommitted catalogs.
- Set `origins: false` so catalogs carry no `#:` lines, and delete the sorter
that existed only to make those lines platform-independent.
- Widen the stale-translation audit from ja/zh-CN to every enabled locale.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_013UiC9jnCiE3bpgg6YzPje1
* chore(i18n): address review on the check wiring
- ci-check runs the two fixers before the parallel checks, so extract never
reads a half-rewritten tree.
- Thai is not an enabled locale; drop it from the plural guidance.
- Say what `orderBy` and `origins` each do instead of conflating them.

* fix(host-service): restart idle agents on account switch, launching fresh when there is nothing to resume (#7144)
* fix(host-service): restart idle agents on account switch, launching fresh when there is nothing to resume
The account-switch restart and the auto-resume candidate predicate both
skipped bindings whose last event was "Attached". Claude's SessionStart
maps to "Attached", so an agent that was launched but never prompted, and
an agent that had just been resumed, stayed on the old account with no
dialog offered. When every running agent was idle the switch showed only
the "Relaunch running agents" toast.
Idle sessions are now candidates. Because agents only persist a
conversation once it has a message, the resume path consults the harness
store for an "Attached" candidate and launches the agent fresh unless a
transcript exists, instead of exiting with "no conversation found".
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0147KrvF4qppuqKtKWsDYQx5
* fix(host-service): resume an idle session when the harness store cannot be read
Only a definite "no transcript" launches fresh. An unreadable or unsurveyed
store is not evidence the conversation is gone, so the saved session id is
kept. Addresses the CodeRabbit finding on #7144.

* feat(desktop): move the changed-files list back into the right sidebar (#7139)
* feat(desktop): move the changed-files list back into the right sidebar
PR #7102 folded the sidebar's Changes tab into the Changes pane on the
assumption that the right sidebar was going away. It isn't yet, so the
list returns to the sidebar as a Changes tab — keeping the pane-era
design (one scope row "Commits N vs <base>", per-section diffstats,
staging, hover discard, context menus, drag-to-terminal) rather than the
old three-row header. The pane drops its resizable tree panel and the
toolbar's Files pill; DiffViewToolbar's tree toggle becomes optional so
the PR Code tab keeps its own tree.
Wiring: rows navigate the workspace's diff pane through openDiffPane
(⇧-tier opens a new diff tab), and a new useDiffPaneTarget hook feeds the
focused diff pane's path/change key back as the row highlight, held
while focus moves elsewhere and cleared once no diff pane remains.
"Open Changes" (top-bar control, ⌘⇧L, "+" menu, empty state) now also
opens the sidebar on the Changes tab, since the pane alone has no file
picker; the tab switch shares one setWorkspaceSidebarTab helper with the
Files reveal. The "changes" tab id returns to the sidebar schema as the
default ("pages" stays retired), sidebar tabs size by content so
"Changes 99+" no longer truncates at the default width, and the tab's
badge counts unique paths like the top-bar control.
Verified live over CDP: tab strip, scope row and sections, row click →
pane + highlight, ⌘L/⌘⇧L round-trip, Files → top-bar pill → Changes,
selection following a second row; zero console errors.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01F5ZQf3BWvxUwSRcKj12x1m
* feat(desktop): make the top-bar Changes control toggle the pane
Clicking the diff-stats pill or the PR badge now closes the Changes pane
when the active tab shows one, and opens or focuses one otherwise, so the
control works like a panel toggle instead of an open-only button. The
face reads as pressed while a pane is in view (aria-pressed plus a
stronger fill in the badge's state tint) and the pill's label flips to
"Close changes". Closing leaves the sidebar's Changes tab alone; opening
still reveals it like every other entry point. ⌘⇧L, the "+" menu, and
the empty-state action keep their open/focus behavior.
findVisibleChangesPane/closeVisibleChangesPane sit beside
openChangesPaneInStore with tests covering a split pane, a diff-only tab
(the tab goes with it), and a background diff tab (not visible, so
untouched).
Verified live over CDP on a PR-badge face: click closes the pane and
clears the pressed state, click reopens it; zero console errors.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01F5ZQf3BWvxUwSRcKj12x1m
* style(desktop): even out the Changes scope row and round every diff card corner
The base-branch trigger becomes the same chip as the commit-filter
trigger beside it (rounded, px-1.5, hover fill, muted chevron), so "vs"
sits between two equal paddings — 10px on each side — instead of
hugging the branch name.
Diff card headers keep their rounded top corners while pinned. The old
[data-sticky] rule squared them to hide the notch a rounded pinned
header cuts into whatever scrolls behind it; the notch is now masked by
a second, hard box-shadow — the header's own shape shifted up by the
corner radius in the pane background — which covers exactly the corner
notches without reaching below the header. Verified live with a header
pinned over 400px of scrolled diff: the notch pixels read as pane
background where the body's left border passes behind, and the header's
border and arc are untouched.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01F5ZQf3BWvxUwSRcKj12x1m
* style(desktop): put the diff section label in the toolbar row and close collapsed file cards
The current-section label ("Unstaged 21", "Against base 17") moves out
of its own strip into the diff toolbar row, after the collapse-all
button and a hairline, so the pane spends one row on chrome instead of
two. DiffViewToolbar grows a children slot for it; the PR Code tab
passes nothing and is unchanged.
Card headers go back to squaring their top corners while pinned — the
shadow-mask rounding from the previous commit is reverted. What was
actually inconsistent is a collapsed file: Pierre drops the [data-diff]
body from the file's shadow root, leaving the header as the whole card
with no bottom edge. A :has() rule now closes a header with no body
sibling ([data-diff], [data-code], or [data-file]) with a full border
and rounded corners; a collapsed header's sticky box is only as tall as
itself, so the pinned-notch concern doesn't apply there. Selector
behavior verified in a shadow-root fixture inside the renderer (with a
body: open; collapsed: closed; plain-file body: open), and the collapsed
DOM shape was observed live.

The new trpc-compat skill holds the steps: search live desktop-v*/cli-v* tags for callers (this flags desktop 1.29.0 and 1.30.2 for page.list, so it would have caught #7726), the api_procedure_called query and its 1% sampling limit, the pattern table, removal evidence, and the incident playbook (revert, or forward-fix when a migration is already applied).
