🤖 Opus 5.5 on behalf of Oliver

Important

Stacked on #15423; review only the top commit until it merges.

Maria reopened this after it was closed under the prior-approval rule. It is now rebuilt on current main.

Problem

Right-clicking a draft row in the sidebar falls through to the browser or desktop menu. The draft's project settings and path aren't reachable from the row.

Fix

Draft rows get a context menu, opened by right-click, the ContextMenu key or Shift+F10:

The items come from a small builder, buildDraftActionMenuItems, next to the thread menu builder. It uses the shared web/desktop context menu API. There are no server, contract or mobile changes.

Before

Right-clicking a draft row shows no app menu:

Before: right-clicking a draft row shows no menu

After

The draft row menu:

After: the draft row menu shows Copy, Project settings and Discard draft

Discard draft from the menu goes through the undo guard:

After: discarding from the menu shows the undo notice

Verification

  • vp test run apps/web/src/components/threadActionMenu.logic.test.ts passed (15 tests).
  • vp run --filter @t3tools/web typecheck passed.
  • Targeted lint and fmt reported no errors.
  • Captured in headless Chromium against an isolated dev server on empty state. Undo from the menu discard restored the row.
  • The native Electron menu was not exercised.

Made with Opus 5.5 in the Claude Code harness; screenshots by GPT-5.6 Luna via Codex.

Approvability

Verdict: Not approved

Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This PR adds a new draft context-menu workflow and changes discard behavior to use persisted draft restoration and deferred attachment cleanup. The in-memory cleanup window can lose attachment references across reloads or app close, leaving uploads unreleased and requiring human review.

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Draft rows now support mouse and keyboard context menus. Sidebar centralizes draft discard and context-menu actions. The menu supports conditional copying, project settings, and draft cleanup.

The new draft context-menu actions use the correct available workspace, branch, and project values, and discarding a draft does not race with promotion. No actionable merge risk remains.

Rebuilt on current main (f90c40b). The workspace path now resolves from the project's workspaceRoot as thread rows do, and the menu items moved into a tested buildDraftActionMenuItems. Typecheck, targeted lint, and the menu tests pass.

747-750: 🎯 Functional Correctness | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick win

Add a focused keyboard context-menu test. SidebarDraftRow maps ContextMenu and Shift+F10 to onContextMenu, which reaches handleDraftContextMenu and api.contextMenu.show. Existing buildDraftActionMenuItems tests do not render the row or dispatch either key, so they would pass if this keyboard path regressed. Test both keys and assert that the draft menu opens for the row with its draft ID and row-bottom position.

This adds Copy, Project settings and Discard actions to a new draft-row context menu without explicit maintainer scope approval. The conditional reference in #12735 does not approve this menu. Under the prior approval requirement, please discuss the draft-row discoverability problem with maintainers and link approval for the proposed menu before requesting reconsideration.

Discarded draft attachments leak when the app reloads or closes before the five-second undo window expires. discardComposerDraft clears the persisted attachment references immediately, while releaseDraftAttachments runs only from the in-memory undo commit; after reload that timer is gone and no record remains to release the queued/server uploads. Deferring releaseDraftAttachments exclusively to the five-second undo commit leaks discarded uploads when the app is reloaded or closed during that window. clearDraftThread/clearComposerContent has already removed the attachment references, and the in-memory timer never runs after navigation; on the next load there is no record from which to release the pending/server upload. Previously the sidebar released uploads before clearing. Persist/recover pending cleanup, or avoid removing the only cleanup references before the commit can run.

Range 6414268..1604ccc, merge-base 7ff2eab. First reconcile on the
orchestrator-v2 port. 40 conflicted files; 161 touched by both sides.

Competing implementations:
- Draft-row context menu: upstream pingdotgg#10637 (copy, project settings, discard)
and the fork's (queue/unqueue, discard) merged into one superset builder,
driven by upstream's Sidebar-level handler. Both draft rows discard via
  upstream's undoable discardComposerDraft.
- Subscription retry backoff (pingdotgg#15034): kept the fork's budgeted retry
(invariant 33); adopted upstream's no-retry on authorization failures.

Two live rules:
- Preview predicates read literal filenames (pingdotgg#10311, security). The fork's
query-stripping video tests had no production caller; adopted upstream,
  retargeted fork tests (shared, mobile).

Fork fix exposed by an upstream test (invariant 40): Claude skill discovery
read homePath as the config dir. It now derives the dir from the env
makeClaudeEnvironment builds (configDirPath, else <HOME>/.claude; inherited
CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR scrubbed). Upstream's env-inheritance tests replaced.

Other resolutions: archived-during-prep guard above upstream's worktree
reuse (pingdotgg#15326; the unrecorded worktree is now removed); cooperative Stop
rung kept with per-effect settle ids; queryOptions carry memberDirectories
and subagentBackend; late-default keybinding migrations on the fork's raw
read; symlinked-settings watch adopted; MorphIcon migration applied to fork
UI; PlanAgentSelectionHeal deletion taken; RPC scope middleware adopted.
Test retargets: macOS /private/var realpath (invariant 9) x3, a
dangling-link settings test writing the default value (fork publishes only
real changes), fake Claude sessions gain setPermissionMode, new harness
stubs (credit intake, OrchestratorV2).

Invariants re-probed: all hold (1, 2, 4, 4b, 5b, 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 18, 22,
28, 37, 40, 61, 63).
Sweeps: resurrected 5, dropped 65, fork-loss 122, both-kept 0; all
accounted (resolutions above, coincident upstream lines, lockfile bumps,
dom-test rename artifacts).
Gate: pnpm run verify on Node 24.13.1, EXIT=0, 14/14 packages, 22,106
tests, 0 failed.

Co-authored-by: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(pull-requests): PR detail reads no longer drain the GitHub quota (pingdotgg#16280)

Takes over pingdotgg#13841. A PR query refreshes on the server's refresh signal only while something reads it, and the server shares detail, activity, and preview for 60 seconds, or 10 minutes once merged.

Favicons in ProjectEnrichmentService now keep for 15 minutes. Repository identity keeps its 1-minute TTL, so remote changes still show within a minute.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>

* fix(server): Claude limits load again for users with large transcript histories (pingdotgg#16358)

The Claude capabilities probe now asks for usage with skipBehaviors, so it no longer scans every local transcript and misses its 4 s deadline. Takes over pingdotgg#14456.

* chore(contracts): take the Moatless V2 backend into the upstream merge

Regenerate the threads.getShell fixture as a V2 row, decode it as the RPC
layer does, drop four UnsupportedMethodError entries the V2 backend now
serves, and reconcile docs/fork/gaps.md with soaplabs/moatless#1068.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(contracts): decode a Moatless V2 thread projection fixture

The fixture comes from the moatless feat/t3code-v2-timeline-and-sessions
branch and holds every timeline item kind it translates tool calls into,
its plans, and the provider rows that let a client steer a running turn.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* ci: run the contracts tests in the Typecheck workflow

Its Moatless fixtures are the one check that a backend response decodes
against the schemas the client reads, and the package is small enough for
the 4 CPU / 8 GiB runner.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* ci: run the contracts tests before the typecheck

The runner loses contact during pnpm typecheck, which skipped the
fixture decodes queued after it.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* test(contracts): decode the V2 projection's node rows

Regenerated from soaplabs/moatless#1071 at ed50318e, which backs every
rootNodeId and nodeId with a node row.

Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

* docs(fork): narrow the V2 gap to what moatless#1071 still refuses
