Problem

The branch change notice moves Restore branch and dismiss onto a second row below a 400px content width, even when the short notice and both controls fit. The reported screenshot reproduces this at a 368px banner width.

Change

Opt the branch mismatch notice into the existing compact banner layout. It keeps actions inline at the reported width and retains the existing wrapping fallback below a 320px content width. Restore, dismiss, and branch tooltips keep their current behavior. This shared component covers web and desktop; native mobile uses a separate layout.

Scope and approval

This is a focused layout bug fix using an existing banner option. It changes only the branch mismatch notice, with no new controls or workflow. Searched origin PRs and inspected related banner and branch fixes; none covers this wrapping defect.

Verification

  • Web typecheck, targeted ChatView lint, formatting, and git diff checks passed. Lint reports existing React warnings.
  • Existing ComposerBannerStack test passed.
  • CodeRabbit CLI reviewed the change with no findings. Greptile could not review because the personal account has no connection to pingdotgg/t3code.
  • In T3's Browser panel, the real branch mismatch notice uses the compact layout at 368px. The title and actions have matching vertical positions; Restore branch remains enabled. No checkout was triggered.
  • A fixture using the production ComposerBannerStack and ComposerSurface components measured a 368px banner at 75.5px tall before and 51.5px after. Long branch names keep actions inside the banner. A 321px outer banner still wraps through the narrower fallback.
  • Screenshots below show that production component fixture at the same width and 200% magnification. Native mobile and a packaged desktop build were not tested.

Before: Restore branch wraps onto a second row

After:

After: Restore branch shares the title row

Approvability

Verdict: Approved at 4b6fda6

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This one-line change opts the existing branch-mismatch notice into its compact layout so restore and dismiss actions remain inline in narrow composers. It introduces no new workflow or control and leaves the existing action behavior unchanged.

Notes:

  • Diff unchanged. Approvability was decided on eligibility alone.

No code changes detected at 09bd9ea. Prior analysis still applies.

CodeRabbit found no actionable issues. The docstring warning applies to the existing ChatView function, not a new function introduced by this PR. This change only adds the existing compact banner option, so docstring cleanup would be outside its scope under the repository's documentation rules.
