Selecting a saved SSH machine that is waiting to reconnect, or clicking its status badge, skips the pending backoff and resets the retry ladder. This also works for the active disconnected machine. An attempt already in progress continues without starting a duplicate. A failed requested attempt shows its fresh error and existing CLI guidance while pane input stays blocked. Other notices, online and disabled machines, Local, and arrow expand/collapse behavior are retained.

Preserves Bart Louwers's original commit and authorship from louwers@b20d97e. The finishing commit covers active-machine selection, failure presentation, and short corrections to the next-release docs.

This is a manual recovery action for pending backoff. It does not cancel or replace an in-flight attempt, change wake detection, or repair SSH control connections.

Validation: just check passed on Windows, including formatting, Clippy, 3,454 Rust tests, maintenance and integration checks, documentation contracts, and the Windows build. Regressions reproduced the missing active-machine retry and lost diagnostic before their fixes. The integrated regression covers authentication and transient failures, fresh rendered feedback while input remains frozen, and retention of unrelated notices.
