Absorb upstream main through 8d11fe1261 #166

Closed

Description

@lukemaj

What #291 delivered native upstream 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb to main at exact SHA 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b.
Why The fork needed 493 upstream commits while preserving every retained feature, all 58 intervening main topics and its merge-free rebase model.
So what Absorption acceptance is met and this issue closes; paired-desktop renewal is tracked in #324 and deployment remains with the user's #301 batch.

Final canonical delivery record, exact merged SHA and user-visible behavior changes. Merged PR #291. Historical preparation and decisions remain in this issue's comments, including the original D1..D45 dispositions and #177/#178 transition.

Acceptance

  • Native approved upstream history is present, with 77 fork-stack commits and zero merges above the fixed upstream pin, per docs/fork.md.
  • Fork Stack Model passes; all 36 feature owners and the upstream-edit inventory match. All 58 main source topics through fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301 are mapped, reviewed and preserved.
  • Full CI passes on the exact delivered SHA before and after landing, including Test Server 6; focused build, package typechecks, tests and read-only data proof pass within their recorded limits.
  • Both review/independent-sol and review/independent-grok, plus aggregate review/independent, are success on the exact delivered head after findings comments.
  • Current main was tagged before carry; the user's selected window and accepted expiry behavior authorized the exact guarded force-with-lease replacement. Main and GitHub's merged SHA were verified afterward.

Decisions and separate work

Native session-expiry commit 456930a09db29efdd3d4a397fe214e9ede2d6975 is accepted unchanged. Permanent peer links remain permanent; existing paired desktop sessions need renewal before their first affected expiry on 2026-11-08, tracked separately in #324. No retained fork feature was dropped. No package-version bump, staging, installation, restart or deployment by this task.

#195/#196 are historical paths, not the delivered absorption. This outcome advances the Mission's native rebase model and preserves the Objective's Promachos, Wight, Drafters and Spectrum capabilities. Task worktrees and obsolete task branches are retired; immutable backup tags and proof are preserved. The main checkout remains untouched at its prior local main SHA for its owner to synchronize.

Requirements and who asked: User's #166 brief and final #291 decision require native rebase absorption, feature/topic preservation, safe proof, exact-head dual review and green CI, tagged backup and guarded delivery, no versions or deployment.
Deleted: Squash delivery, duplicate native owners, slot gating, old-head verdict transfer and obsolete expiry/window blockers; no retained feature was deleted.
Bottleneck: Absorption is delivered; paired-desktop renewal and deployment are separate work.
Checked myself: Remote main and PR merged SHA, immutable backup and lease result, complete topic map, current CI/review statuses, native data proof and final resource after-state; detailed evidence is in the final record.

What: The absorption stopped before any rebase: upstream replaced the orchestration engine the fork stack is built on, so this is a feature-by-feature port, not a routine rebase.
    Why: Upstream de343914273e (#2829, 2026-10-02) deletes apps/server/src/orchestration/{decider,projector,Layers/OrchestrationEngine,...}.ts, packages/contracts/src/orchestration.ts, threadReducer.ts and AgentsPanel.tsx, and adds orchestration-v2 with native child threads.
So what: The user decides how to proceed (options below); nothing was pushed and main is unchanged.

    Evidence

    • Base de251fc2971a, target upstream/main 12069eefd707, fork stack 71 commits on origin/main c1526a7a72. Candidate branch fork/absorb-12069eefd7 exists only in a local full clone (chromeria-worktrees/166-absorb), not rebased, not pushed.
    • #2829 is one squashed commit: 1907 files, +379,874/-202,796, 88 commits after our base.
    • Of the 383 files the fork stack touches, upstream deleted 46 and modified 114. fork-rebase.sh --dry-run overlap report: 1979 feature/commit matches (thread-scope 224, child-threads 201, prism-settings 174, fork-maintenance 147, issues-links 133, prism-toolkit 122, ...).
    • Upstream v2 covers part of what the fork built: OrchestrationV2AppThreadLineage {parentThreadId, relationshipToParent: fork|subagent}, a T3 delegate_task MCP (creationSource: "mcp"), parent-wake policy (always / settled_only), childThreadId on tasks (packages/contracts/src/orchestrationV2.ts, orchestratorMcp.ts). This overlaps fork child threads, Prism spawn_thread and report-back, interrupt_thread, and parents answering child approvals.
    • #16336 (outside-agent MCP OAuth) is 2c8be5893e, after #2829, so absorbing only up to the pre-rewrite commit 024d49520e (88 commits) does not deliver it.

    Tooling defect found

scripts/fork-features.mjs caps git output at 64 MB; upstream 6f9cea00ae (#16170, vendored refs sync, 63.6 MB diff) makes the overlap report fail with spawnSync git ENOBUFS. The report above ran with a temporary local 512 MB cap (reverted). Also: the main checkout is a blob:none partial clone, so the report lazily fetches each upstream blob one at a time (about 1/s); the run used a full clone instead. Neither is fixed yet.

    Options

    • A. Keep going inside this Issue: rebase all 71 commits and hand-port every conflict onto orchestration-v2. Hides many feature decisions inside one "rebase".
    • B (recommended). Treat it as a port: one decision per fork feature (adopt upstream and delete ours / port onto v2 / drop), including whether existing persisted threads and fork events survive the v2 migration; split into per-feature Issues, then rebuild the stack on upstream/main. Size is unknown until the per-feature decisions are made; not every feature necessarily needs redesign (docs, branding, web-only features may replay cleanly).
    • C. Interim: absorb only to 024d49520e (pre-rewrite) now. Gets 88 commits of upstream fixes but not #16336, and the same wall remains.

    Decision table

    # Decision Options Choice Sol verdict
D1 Mechanical rebase vs port A rebase-and-port in one go; B stop, decide per feature; C absorb to pre-rewrite only B, user decides scope AGREE: deletion of the old engine and upstream child-thread contracts justify B; C misses #16336. Get approval for per-feature adoption or porting, including persisted-data compatibility, before mutating. "Multi-week" is unproven; do not assume every feature needs redesign.

Conflicts: none yet (no rebase run). Dropped or reworked fork commits: none.

What: User chose option B (port per feature). The per-feature dispositions and the delivery plan are decided and Sol-reviewed; five user decisions are open before Issues are filed.
Why: Upstream #2829 replaced the orchestration engine; upstream now covers part of the fork (child threads, delegation, parent wake, usage-limit resume) and migrates v1 data lossily into a separate statev2.sqlite.
So what: The user answers the five decisions below; then the agent files the 11 Issues and starts the foundation on fork/v2.

Assessments (read-only, by five workers): delegation, liveness, Promachos/people, web/GitHub, persisted data. Checked myself: ~/.t3/userdata has no statev2.sqlite (listing only), so upstream v2 has not copied the live home.

    Dispositions

    * user-visible behavior change, needs sign-off; until then fork behavior is preserved.

    Delivery

main stays the working v1 Chromeria. The port is built on an integration branch fork/v2 from upstream/main, with one PR per feature into it, each owning its data backfill and its feature-map/allowlist entries. Order: (1) foundation: replays, drops, tooling fix, Chromeria's own v2 DB filename (so it never opens upstream's statev2.sqlite), fork settings-key preservation, migration hook and real-data snapshot harness; (2) child threads; (3) Prism toolkit + settings + tool instructions; (4) thread-people; (5) Issues features; (6) stream clock + stale-turn; (7) Wight + #63/#72; (8) scheduled-tasks; (9) Promachos mode; (10) Spectrum, including scheduler report integration; (11) final: real-data snapshot verification, full gate, sync job repoint, then the human-approved landing on main and cutover. Cutover approval explicitly covers the lossy v1 history import (activities, plans, checkpoints not migrated) and upgrading every host and client together (v1 and v2 refuse to connect).

    Decision table

    # Decision Choice Sol verdict
D1 Mechanical rebase vs port B, user chose B AGREE
D2 Per-feature dispositions First draft dropped #129 guard and adopted #63/thread-scope silently DISAGREE: hidden changes (env-wide thread access, lost retirement guard, #63 needs flag plus adapter reset times); decide them explicitly, preserve by default
D2' Revised dispositions (above) adopted Sol's alternative AGREE
D3 Delivery shape fork/v2, data carryover last DISAGREE: data contracts too late, prism-settings before its toolkit; put DB isolation, settings and migration contract in foundation, backfills per feature
D3' Revised delivery (above) adopted Sol's alternative AGREE, plus: scheduler-to-Spectrum integration in step 10; cutover approval covers lossy import and coordinated upgrades

    Open user decisions

    1. Agent tool names: keep ours (spawn_thread, read_thread, message_thread, ...) as the Prism front (recommended: AgentsMD and Prism instructions cite them, and Prism adds role/model routing upstream lacks) or switch to upstream's.
    2. Parent woken once per child task (upstream) instead of after every child turn (ours).
    3. Children capped at the parent's runtime mode (upstream) instead of always full access (ours).
    4. t3_thread_* tools reach the whole environment (upstream) instead of project-scoped supervision (ours).
    5. Approve the adopt/drop list above.
  3. lukemaj commented on Oct 8, 2026

What: User decisions 1-4 are recorded; the adopt/drop list (decision 5) is still open.
Why: These settle the agent tool surface and child-thread behavior for the port onto orchestration-v2.
So what: The user approves or edits the adopt/drop list; then the agent files the 11 port Issues.

    # Decision Choice Sol verdict
D4.1 Agent tool names User: switch to upstream names. Keep fork tools only where upstream has none: spawn_thread (Prism role/lane/capacity routing over delegated_task.request + t3_thread_launch), start_spectrum, link_issue/unlink_issue/list_thread_issues; scheduler delta as options on schedule_task if feasible. No aliases. Prism kit and tool instructions change in the port PRs; AgentsMD global instructions change in their repo at cutover. AGREE
D4.2 Parent wake User: accept upstream (once per child task). n/a (user decision)
D4.3 Child runtime mode Adopt upstream ceiling (child <= parent, escalation refused); #89 dropped. Its reason (children stalled on approvals) is covered by porting #148. AGREE, with: #148 approval forwarding restricted to descendants and must preserve the child's runtime mode
D4.4 Thread tool reach User: accept upstream environment-wide t3_thread_* with the mode-ceiling and McpToolAccess guards; fork thread-scope dropped. n/a (user decision)

Comparison (fork vs upstream since base de251fc2971a): fork 71 commits, 23,070 non-test lines in 225 files; upstream 533 commits, about 300,885 added / 118,383 removed non-test lines in 2,058 files outside .repos/. Fork code by disposition: Port about 47%, Merge 31%, Adopt upstream 13%, Replay 9%. Agent MCP tools: fork 39, upstream 79 (threads and delegation 8 vs 29 upstream-only; projects/worktrees/env 0 vs 14).

What: spawn_thread is dropped; Prism becomes a fork-owned service that both upstream delegation entry points call. Changes to the Prism role kits need user approval.
Why: The user asked to adapt Prism to upstream's delegate_task instead of keeping a separate tool.
So what: The user approves the kit changes and the adopt/drop list; then the agent files the 11 port Issues.

    # Decision Choice Sol verdict
D5 Prism on upstream delegation Drop spawn_thread; Prism plugs into OrchestratorMcpService resolveTarget when target is absent, maps upstream roles to kits, retry/escalation become automatic fallbacks DISAGREE: resolveTarget returns only model selection, t3_thread_launch has a separate handler, and post-start recovery cannot live in a resolver
D5' Revised (Sol's alternative, adopted) One fork-owned Prism service, called from both the delegate_task and t3_thread_launch handlers, returns the selection (provider, model, effort) and kit text. Keep an optional lane input; an explicit target always wins. Capacity fallback happens at start inside the service; post-start retry and escalation are a separate fork reactor on run failure or limit. Role mapping: implementation/test/general to worker, review to reviewer, research/design to planner; dispatcher and Promachos stay launch-time kits. Upstream edits: two small calls into the service, plus an optional lane field. adopted Sol's alternative

Needs user approval: the Prism role kits change, because agents no longer choose retry or escalation (they happen automatically) and the six upstream role labels select the kits.

What: Prism failure handling on the new engine is decided; only the adopt/drop list is still open.
Why: Prism must react to run failures without judging work quality, and mid-run model switching is deferred.
So what: The user approves the adopt/drop list; then the agent files the 11 port Issues.

    # Decision Choice Sol verdict
D6 Prism failure handling (a) pick a model with usage headroom before start, fall back on provider_unavailable/model_unavailable; (b) usage limit mid-run: wait for reset (autoResumeLimitedThreads), no mid-run model switch (user: cross-provider handoff with compaction is a separate, deferred feature; no judge agent for now); (c) failed run: one automatic retry as a new run on the same thread; (d) completed or silent: parent decides, may request retry/escalation kits via optional prismRole on delegate_task. Retry/escalation model lists stay in Prism settings. DISAGREE on (c): "retry" in orchestrationV2.ts:607 labels a run attempt, not a retry operation, and upstream finalizes delegated tasks on failure
D6' (c) revised, Sol's alternative adopted One persisted retry only for provider failures reported as retryable, on the same provider and model, honoring Stop and retirement. Both the retry and the reset wait are coordinated with delegated-task finalization, so the parent receives the eventual result rather than the first failure. adopted Sol's alternative

What: The user approved every adopt/drop item; the per-feature port Issues are being filed.
Why: These were the last open user decisions before the port starts.
So what: The agent files the port Issues, links them here, and starts with the foundation Issue.

    # Decision User choice
D7.1 Agents panel Adopt upstream (Lineage section, "Subagent of" divider, subagent cards); our tree and sibling switcher dropped

What: The port is split into 11 Issues, in order: #167 foundation, #168 child threads, #169 Prism service, #170 thread people, #171 Issues features, #172 stream clock and stale-turn, #173 Wight mode, #174 scheduled tasks, #175 Promachos mode, #176 Spectrum, #177 landing and cutover.
Why: The user approved a per-feature port with every adopt/drop decision recorded above.
So what: An agent starts #167 on fork/v2; main stays the working v1 Chromeria until #177, which needs human approval.

  8. lukemaj commented on Oct 8, 2026

What: The user approved landing and installing once every port Issue is done and the gate passes.
Why: The user wants to test the new build on cavallo as the daily app.
So what: After #167-#176 merge into fork/v2 and the full gate and fork-check pass on the exact candidate, the agent lands fork/v2 on main with --force-with-lease and stages the build at /Applications/Chromeria.app.new (swap on quit), without asking again.

User decision (2026-10-08, this thread): "Replace daily app". The user accepted:

    • the one-way, lossy copy of v1 threads into the v2 database (activities, plans and checkpoints are not migrated);
    • that v1 hosts and the mobile app cannot connect to cavallo until they are upgraded.

Before staging: a cold backup copy of ~/.t3/userdata (copied, never modified). The running app is never quit or replaced; the swap happens when the user quits Chromeria.

What Main topic 58, merged #301 at da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110, is preserved in pushed annotated tag pre-absorb-2026-10-14-main58 before candidate preparation.
Why Main advanced during the successful independent review of the frozen 57-topic candidate ee543bf6a367e491fff7a546342c87d14c418092; replacing it without #301 would lose merged restart and queue-resume behavior.
So what Carry and compare this topic on the existing integration branch, then refresh exact-head proof and both reviews; delivery remains held for session expiry and the user-selected replacement window.

Remote tag object a526c7b2d507da3d18e674f689d27f9b343a8318 peels to da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110. Remote main matched that exact SHA after the tag push. Existing backup tags remain immutable. Main itself was not changed.

Continue in absorb/166-upstream-20261014, exclusive worktree ~/dev/toolboxmd/chromeria-worktrees/166-upstream-20261014, from clean/pushed ee543bf6a367e491fff7a546342c87d14c418092. Native upstream pin remains 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb. #301 is one additional original-main topic with 39 changed files. Preserve native recovery, event/receipt transaction, runtime continuation and peer-routing owners while carrying it. No feature disposition changes, version bumps, or deployment.

The preceding exact candidate has complete green CI and 856 focused passes, final snapshot proof, Grok success, and Sol success with the new-main gap identified. These are frozen-input evidence, not approval of an unprepared source58 carry.

The existing canonical handoff remains here, superseded by this new-source gate until the full source58 handoff is posted. Final replacement, only in the user's chosen window, uses --force-with-lease=refs/heads/main:da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110 only if live main still matches and all exact-candidate gates pass. A moved main or protection rejection stops that operation.

Requirements and who asked: User requires every merged fork topic and native merge-free rebase absorption, guarded backups and exact-candidate proof/reviews; #301's merged restart/queue outcome must survive.
Deleted: No retained behavior. Do not carry historical duplicate recovery machinery, transfer old review success, or add a concurrency-slot gate.
Bottleneck: Newly merged #301 is not in the candidate. Compare and replay it through existing native owners before fresh acceptance; expiry resolution and the user's window remain later gates.
Checked myself: Clean integration head and remote identity, complete source58 file inventory, actual remote main, immutable tag object and peeled SHA, unchanged upstream pin, and both exact-ee543 review verdicts.

What The native-history candidate now carries all 58 original-main topics through merged #301 at da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110.
Why Main advanced during the prior candidate's reviews; #301 needed composition with native awaited-work recovery, provider-core relocation and existing follow-up delivery ownership.
So what Finish two focused test-fixture migrations, complete current proof and fresh independent reviews, then wait for the session-expiry resolution and the user's chosen replacement window.

This is the canonical #166 recovery handoff, superseding the 57-topic handoff and its source58 preparation gate. Integration branch absorb/166-upstream-20261014, exclusive worktree ~/dev/toolboxmd/chromeria-worktrees/166-upstream-20261014; clean/pushed HEAD d0d2096a3917261dde62b472a2700d7e067de31b. Proof PR #291 targets absorb-base/8d11fe1261 and is DO NOT MERGE. Ordinary squash delivery would discard the required native history.

    Method and preserved inputs

Fixed approved upstream is 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb, 493 native commits after 12069eefd707f78eafc27812027c994eea0613cf. The candidate has 76 commits above it and zero merges. Every prior #177 disposition remains; no feature drop or version bump is proposed. Historical #195/#196 are not a live side-by-side delivery path.

Source58 backup was pushed and recorded before preparation: annotated pre-absorb-2026-10-14-main58, object a526c7b2d507da3d18e674f689d27f9b343a8318, peels to da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110. Earlier immutable backups remain. Last verified remote main equals that source. Do not rewrite the main checkout or main branch during preparation.

    • Preserve native RestartBackgroundNote, awaited monitor/subagent/task recovery, user-question/secret/snooze/settled guards, chain bound and native receipt/admission owners. Add fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301's strong owned-turn eligibility and shared-session/borrowed-thread correction, cut metadata, safe late refusal and bounded startup reconciliation. Cancelled background work stays cancelled; native note continuations do not restart that work.
    • The pure cut interpreter moves unchanged in structure to fork-owned packages/shared/src/restartCut.ts with one subpath export because native SubagentProjection now lives in provider-core. No provider-core import of server source, duplicate interpreter or compatibility reexport.
    • Keep original delegated task identity/result and native follow-up binding. Extend existing follow-up helpers/SQL for restart cuts with exact-run receipts despite legacy unknown-run transfers; ordinary legacy suppression and fix(server): a stopped follow-up does not offer a parent wake #278 Stop suppression remain. Final formatting retains the resolved cut explanation even when native awaited-work semantics report interrupted.
    • A persisted diagnostic showed an acknowledged, empty prior cohort held the cut notice pending against its old cancelled steer. The existing delivery planner now treats an empty cohort as consumed and allocates the next generation; stale-generation checks remain. The original cut-follow-up assertions pass after supplying the parent senderThreadId that native binding requires. No new recovery owner or automatic queue release.
    • Carry guarded queue resume, optional older-peer hold metadata and all feat(mcp): route all tools to linked environments #304 routing wrappers. New test imports follow the actual provider-core/provider-testing/Grok package owners. Native contract fields and delegatedTaskId coexist; no numbered migration was added.

    Proof state

Exact d0d: native server and contracts typechecks pass, 36-feature Fork Stack Model passes, desktop/web/server compilation passes. Mission features 245 pass / 3 opt-in data skipped; peer/native tools 301 pass / 12 optional live/browser skipped; native replay/Prism/client summaries 310 pass. The additional 17-file restart group has 217 pass / 2 fail / 1 existing opt-in benchmark skip. Failures are one native-only workflow fixture missing getUnresolvedRestartCuts, and the source test's literal old-base wording “only unfinished root turns are continued”, which conflicts with retained native awaited-work behavior. Neither is waived or reported green. Fixture/test correction and exact-head proof are pending.

Earlier dirty feedback/diagnostics remain in private task scratch, not tracked source. The logical-outcome explanation control fails for the intended missing-explanation cause; restored behavior and the parent notice/native result/cohort suites passed 42/42 before checkpointing. A prior feedback run changed four inputs during execution and is explicitly not acceptance evidence. No diagnostic stop/log was committed.

Grok's source58/native boundary audit remains active and read-only. The existing Sol snapshot job is revalidating fresh read-only V2 data on its own proof worktree; the prior accepted ee543 real-data report remains valid only for its frozen inputs. Fresh final Sol/Grok review rounds have not started on d0d. Exact previous ee543 findings were relayed unchanged before all three authenticated success statuses; they do not approve d0d.

Native-base range-diff with explicit --creation-factor=80: 559014 bytes, SHA-256 e3e36ffaa8f2464a78934056c40a8900a2c2166761c9698ea696afc74cedc08b; {'=': 28, '!': 30, '>': 18, '<': 0}. Default matching split pre-existing #272 into unmatched rows; both complete outputs are retained. That is a matching heuristic, not an omitted topic. Delivery, authority and next action

User authorizes this PR set and one guarded main replacement, but no replacement window has been selected. Immediately before delivery refresh live main, back it up before preparing any new carry, and compare every newly merged source topic. Only after exact-candidate proof/reviews and the user-selected window use --force-with-lease=refs/heads/main:<recorded current SHA>; stop if lease moves or protection rejects. Never change protection. No version bump, staging, installation, deployment, server/browser/provider/device against live state or live userdata write is authorized. No build is claimed merged or ready to deploy.

Upstream expiry 456930a09db29efdd3d4a397fe214e9ede2d6975 remains a shipping gate: native live-session enforcement stays; #164's permanent new peer sessions do not prove renewal of older paired-desktop/general outside-MCP clients. Wait for the renewal fix or the user's explicit behavior decision. Separate pre-existing native ACP fixture race stays in #244; d0d CI is pending and no failure is pre-waived as #259/#278. The pre-existing descendant-only PR watch defect found during ee543 review is independently verified and tracked as #314, outside absorption repair.

Next: correct the two focused test fixtures with explicit rationale, checkpoint/push, finish proof/data/source audit, relay findings and obtain fresh exact-head Sol/Grok success, then hold for expiry/window. Parent is the only integration writer. Active audit/data children have no deadline or proof-slot gate and will be closed when accepted. No owned app server, staged deploy or captured task process outside the retained proof jobs exists.

Requirements and who asked: User requires native merge-free absorption, all retained #177 features and every merged fork topic, real snapshot safety, current build/CI and exact-head dual review, guarded backup/lease/window, and no version or deployment changes.
Deleted: Duplicate recovery/interpreter owners, provider-core imports of server source, slot gating, ordinary squash delivery, old-head review transfer and unsupported real-data positivity. No retained feature is removed.
Bottleneck: Source58 is carried and pushed; two focused test integrations must be corrected before final proof/reviews. Session renewal/decision and the user's coordinated window remain subsequent delivery gates.
Checked myself: Source58 full conflict owners, actual native liveness/awaited-work/caller binding, persisted result/cohort diagnostics, exact type/feature/build/test logs, source-to-candidate ancestry/range-diffs, remote tag/main identities and the closed #264 accepted outcome/design record.

What Source58 native-boundary audit found no supported behavior correction, and its two pending fixture gaps now pass on 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b.
Why #301 must compose with native awaited-work wakes, owned-turn liveness and the existing exact-run delivery owner.
So what Fresh final Sol/Grok reviews still must judge the full current candidate; this source audit grants no delivery approval.

The independent Grok report below is relayed unchanged. Its d0d proof gaps are historical: exact current restart proof is 219 passed / 1 existing opt-in benchmark skipped, all 17 files passed. The native workflow mock and truthful safe-message expectation are the only two lines in 0387459. Current CI is green, including Server 6. The prior input-mutated diagnostic is not acceptance.

    Source58 native-boundary audit

Not acceptance. This does not transfer the earlier ee543 review. Parent is the only writer. No source, test, or Git writes were made here.

    Two layers:

PR 291 stays the proof PR. Do not merge it from this audit.

    Elon

Requirements and who asked: The user asked for a read-only carry of #301 onto native ee543 that keeps cut-or-explain, shared-session and borrowed-thread correction, final declines, exact-run receipts, and guarded queue resume, and that keeps native awaited-work wakes. #264 (user, issue body at creation 2026-10-14 06:54Z) asked for cut root turns to continue or carry a visible reason. Accepted design comment 6167002775 says continue from the run's own live attempt and strong identity, ignoring shared-session stopped and borrowed provider-thread active/idle. Native RestartBackgroundNote on ee543 asked for the awaited-work wake.

Deleted: Replacing native RestartContinuation or delegatedFollowupRecoveryQuery. A second RestartCut or a server reexport. An active-only provider-thread guard after the borrowed-row skip. BACKGROUND_ONLY for every waiting run. A new snooze, secret, question, or disabled-instance reason. Dropping awaited-work wakes to preserve the old sentence. Exempting native question, secret, or snooze refusals from a fixed decline.

Bottleneck: The follow-up notice was waiting on an acknowledged empty cohort, not on recover or drain. That owner fix is in d0d. The remaining gap is exact-head proof of the two test lines on 038745, then fresh Sol and Grok. This audit does not supply either.

Checked myself: d0d RestartContinuation.ts, RestartBackgroundNote.ts, ProviderRuntimeRecoveryService.ts borrowed-row skip, Orchestrator.ts planDelegatedCompletionDelivery and holdsFinalization, packages/shared/src/restartCut.ts, provider-core subagentResultForRun, ee543 continueRestartedRun no-op returns, #264 body edits back to creation, design comment 6167002775, PR 301 body, comment 6175869755, and the diag, r4, r5, r6, and logical-cut logs. r6 manifest changed_inputs is empty. r4 changed four source files and is not evidence.

    Corrected observations

The first draft of this file was wrong about the 18:38 log.

main58-wip-followup-diag.txt prints main58-cut-debug with child and parent state, then the Vitest footer. The 60000ms timeout is after that print. Recover and drain had returned. The awaited stream never received the cut notice. In that snapshot the parent cohort is delivery.taskIds: [] on a cancelled run, completionDelivery is acknowledged, and the cut follow-up has no exact-run result transfer. head_before is ee543. Dirty tree. Not d0d proof.

main58-wip-followup-diag-r5.txt stops on DIAGNOSTIC_STOP_AFTER_CUT after the print. The follow-up is bound, the exact cut transfer is persisted, result is still Original result., and parent completionDelivery is pending against that same empty acknowledged cohort. Intentional stop. Not proof. The diagnostic stop is not in d0d.

main58-wip-followup-r4 timed out and its manifest records changes to Orchestrator.ts, delegatedFollowupQueries.ts, ProjectionStore.ts, and RestartContinuation.ts during the run. Not acceptance.

    main58-wip-followup-r6 is 3 files, 42 passed, exit 0, changed_inputs empty, head_before still ee543. Dirty-tree feedback before the checkpoint. Not exact-d0d proof.

main58-logical-cut-control failed as a red control: interrupted text was Child task ended with status interrup… and did not include the cut sentence. d0d subagentResultForRun now builds A server restart cut this task and it was not continued: ${cut.reason} from the resolved cut and uses that note when the note is set. This audit did not re-run that test.

d0d RestartRecovery.integration.test.ts sets senderThreadId: parentId. No diagnostic print or DIAGNOSTIC_STOP remains in that test or in DelegatedCompletionDelivery.test.ts.

    Adjudication

Awaited work and the old sentence

#264 does not forbid native awaited-work continuation.

The issue, from the creation edit, asks that a cut root turn continue or show a reason. Its non-goal is "Restarting provider background work (background commands, provider subagents); it is reported on the next turn today." That forbids resurrecting the background command or provider subagent. Native does not do that. isAwaitedWork is monitor, subagent, or background task, not shell. The continuation prompts the settled root with restartCancelledBackgroundWorkNote, which says the work will not report back. Shell-only settled runs still decline.

The frozen sentence "This run was waiting; only unfinished root turns are continued." is source58 prose. It matches source restartCutDecision, which labeled every waiting run BACKGROUND_ONLY, and the source comment that a settled run must not wake. It does not appear in the #264 body, the accepted design comment, or the PR 301 body. Searches of those records found no BACKGROUND_ONLY and no "only unfinished".

d0d applies BACKGROUND_ONLY only when a settled run has no open awaited work, and when delivery sees a cancelled run that is not isRestartContinuationSource. The constant is "The run had no unfinished root turn or awaited work to continue." That matches the predicate. Keeping the old sentence would make the stored reason false.

No user decision is required to keep both behaviors. Update only that one strictEqual. Keep the 512-length loop and the unrecognized-reason fallback to NO_CONTINUATION. 038745 does that one-line replacement and leaves those controls in place. This audit did not re-run the file.

    Liveness

Accepted design comment 6167002775: continue from the run's own live attempt and strong identity, ignoring shared-session stopped and borrowed provider-thread active/idle. Keep session error, ownership, closed, archive, and identity exclusions. Only the owner cleans a provider-thread row.

The draft was wrong to require providerThread.status !== "active" after the borrowed-row skip. That check is the #301 bug: parent recovery idles the borrowed row, then the child fails its own active check. d0d does not have that check on the continuation path. ProviderRuntimeRecoveryService skips a row whose appThreadId is set and is not the thread being reconciled, then only the owner idles or clears the roster.

d0d live turns still require their own running provider turn (NO_LIVE_TURN). Session error on a live turn is SESSION_FAILED. A settled wake still declines NOT_RESUMABLE when the session is stopped or error. Closed and archived provider threads stay NOT_RESUMABLE. Do not put the active-only guard back.

    Question, secret, and snooze

Source58 requires every actual helper or dispatch refusal to record a fixed safe decline. d0d records NO_CONTINUATION when restartContinuationBlocked refuses, including a non-message runtime request, a secret card closed with the run, an active snooze, and settledOverride. It does not invent a reason and it does not copy the error into the sentence.

Native ee543, before this carry, returns with no decline at those same blocks. At selection time a blocked run is not scheduled. At delivery a blocked effect returns successfully, then recoverDelegatedTask still runs. Nothing in that path creates another continue effect when a snooze later elapses or settings change. The successful no-op is already terminal. Withholding the decline would leave the #301 refusal unexplained. Do not exempt these guards. NO_CONTINUATION ("The restart continuation ended without starting a run.") is the existing fixed sentence.

    Disabled instance

d0d catches ThreadManagementProviderInstanceDisabledError, declines with the existing NOT_RESUMABLE sentence, and does not put projectId, instanceId, or the error cause into the cut. The effect still succeeds, and the same andThen wrapper calls recoverDelegatedTask. No new reason.

    Empty cohort

d0d planDelegatedCompletionDelivery sets delivery to null when cohort.delivery.taskIds.length === 0, then allocates the next generation through the existing planner. A delivery that still has task ids is unchanged. ProviderTurnControlService still rejects a cohort whose generation does not match or whose taskIds are empty. No second recovery owner. This is the owner fix the r5 snapshot required. r6 shows the three focused files passing on the dirty tree only.

    Relocation and the pure test

packages/shared/src/restartCut.ts is the only implementation, exported as ./restartCut. Provider-core imports it. The server path is gone. RestartCut.test.ts stays in apps/server/src/restartContinuation/ and imports @t3tools/shared/restartCut. It also imports recoveryRun from the server Prism testkit, so moving the file into packages/shared would drag that fixture or duplicate it. Leaving it is intentional path control, not a missing owner. Not a blocker.

    Supported blockers

No behavior change is supported against d0d.

Proof is still open, and this audit does not call the carry ready:

    • On d0d the 17-file restart group was 217 pass, 2 fail, 1 existing opt-in skip, as recorded in comment 6175869755. One failure is the native workflow-members fixture missing getUnresolvedRestartCuts. 038745 adds getUnresolvedRestartCuts: () => Effect.succeed([]) and does not change the test body. This audit did not re-run it.
    • The other failure is the old BACKGROUND_ONLY sentence. 038745 updates that one expectation, as adjudicated above. This audit did not re-run it.
    • Mission 245, peer 301, native replay 310, and type/contracts/stack 0 were reported for d0d by the parent and by comment 6175869755. This audit did not re-run them. They are not a final review.
    • Fresh Sol and Grok acceptance rounds have not been done on d0d or on 038745. ee543 success does not apply.

    Cleared

    • Native awaited-work wake stays. Shell-only settled runs still decline. Background work is not restarted.
    • Live turns ignore shared-session stopped. Settled stopped or error sessions stay blocked. Borrowed provider threads are not cleaned by the parent and are not subject to an active-only guard.
    • Question, secret, and snooze refusals record existing NO_CONTINUATION. Disabled instance records existing NOT_RESUMABLE and still recovers the parent. No dynamic reason and no cause echo.
    • Exact-run cut receipts and the untransferredDelegatedRuns exception for a continuation or a cancelled cut stay compatible with ordinary unknown-receipt suppression. senderThreadId is supplied. Original task.result stays put.
    • Empty cohort.delivery.taskIds does not keep a later result on the old steer. Old-generation checks remain.
    • prismRecovery.holdsFinalization remains in front of parent delivery.
    • held stays optional. Queue resume stays on McpRouting.parameters and writesThread.
    • Resolved cut text is part of subagentResultForRun even when the generic outcome line would only say the run ended interrupted.
    • Final decline still wins: continueRestartedRun returns when restartCut.continuation === "declined". mergeRestartCut keeps the first decline and the original cutAt.

    Optional

    • RestartCut.test.ts can stay beside the server integration tests. Co-locating it under packages/shared is optional and is not needed for coverage.
    • NO_CONTINUATION does not name snooze, secret, or question. A more specific sentence would be a new product string. Do not add one without a user decision.

What The clean native-history candidate 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b carries all 58 main topics and passes current focused proof, desktop build and every CI job.
Why #301 is now composed with native awaited-work recovery, provider-core ownership and exact-run delivery without dropping either behavior.
So what Complete the current real-data report and fresh exact-head Sol/Grok reviews, then hold for the session-expiry resolution and the user's chosen main-replacement window.

This is the canonical #166 recovery handoff, superseding the d0d source58 handoff. Integration branch absorb/166-upstream-20261014, exclusive worktree ~/dev/toolboxmd/chromeria-worktrees/166-upstream-20261014; clean/pushed HEAD 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b. Proof PR #291 targets absorb-base/8d11fe1261 and is DO NOT MERGE. Ordinary squash delivery would discard the required native history.

    Method and preserved inputs

Fixed approved upstream is 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb, 493 native commits after 12069eefd707f78eafc27812027c994eea0613cf. The candidate has 77 commits above it and zero merges.

    Source58 conflict decisions

    Exact current proof and limits

All 15 retained local command records bind clean 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b before and after, empty changed-input maps, actual command/PID/timestamps and SHA-256 of output. Node 24.13.1 / pnpm 11.10.0; inherited ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE, GOMAXPROCS and RAYON_NUM_THREADS unset, private canonical TMPDIR. No scheduling/proof-slot gate. These are focused checks; full coverage is supplied by CI, not inferred from selected local tests.

    • Mission/retained modules: 18 files, 245 pass / 3 opt-in data skipped.
    • Peer/native MCP, permissions, origins, launch and optional live file: 14 files, 301 pass / 12 optional live/browser skipped.
    • Native replay/Prism/client summary: 7 files, 310 pass.
    • Restart/cut/native recovery/queue/relay: 17 files, 219 pass / 1 existing opt-in benchmark skipped.
    • Projection recovery: 1 file, 10 pass. These five groups total 1,085 passing cases, with the opt-in exclusions above.
    • Documented read-only V1 snapshot harness: 2/2 pass. That source lacks positive historical people/child/Issue/task datasets; synthetic backfill checks own absent-mechanism coverage. This is not claimed as positive real V1 feature acceptance.
    • Affected server, contracts, shared, provider-core and client-runtime typechecks: all exit 0. Scoped lint exits 0 with two native unused-layer warnings (layerUnavailable, layerDaemon); no warning was hidden. Fork Stack Model: 36 features, 77 commits, 0 merges, exit 0.
    • pnpm exec vp run build:desktop and node apps/desktop/scripts/verify-preload-bundle.mjs: exit 0. Compile-only artifact manifest contains 9,354 files; SHA-256 efadf8ce3c2cd755dd9c44aa97fc395ab80f3f71b7a66eb4c3f89af424c4d307. Packaging later assigns t3codeCommitHash; no package/stage/deploy/run is claimed.

Exact current full CI is success, all 17 jobs, including Server 6, Typecheck, Build, Web, all server shards, Release Smoke, mobile static analysis and aggregate Check. Fork Stack Model CI and native fingerprint also succeed. Preview workflows are skipped; no deployment workflow was invoked. No flake waiver is needed on this head.

The earlier d0d group had 217 pass / 2 fail; it was not waived. Commit 0387459 changes exactly two test lines: an empty getUnresolvedRestartCuts native workflow mock and the truthful fixed safe reason for a run with neither a live turn nor awaited work. Every original safety/bounds assertion remains. The native-boundary audit and its adjudication are relayed unchanged: #264 never prohibited waking a root with cancelled awaited work, and no behavior decision is introduced by correcting the old prose expectation.

Earlier dirty diagnostics are retained, not acceptance: an input-mutated r4 run is invalid, r5 intentionally stopped after persisted-state inspection, and r6 42/42 was feedback before checkpointing. The logical interrupted-outcome red control fails for the intended missing cut explanation. Current clean proof above replaces those gaps; no diagnostic stop/log is committed.

The real current-V2 read-only snapshot job is running in its separate owned proof worktree, binding the actual native startup/full/shell/project/task decoders and independent BEFORE observations. Previous ee543 data proof and dual review are historical evidence only. Fresh exact-038 Sol/Grok verdicts are pending and will be relayed unchanged before their authenticated named statuses. No production, server, browser, provider, device or UI behavior is live-verified.

Separate pre-existing native ACP fixture race stays in #244; current CI is entirely green, and no failure was pre-waived as #259/#278. The pre-existing descendant-only PR watch defect found during ee543 review is independently verified and tracked as #314, outside absorption repair.

Next: accept current data observations, relay fresh final review findings and obtain exact-head Sol/Grok success, then hold for expiry/window. Parent is the only integration writer. The completed source audit is closed; active data/review children have no deadline or proof-slot gate and will be closed when accepted. No owned app server, staged deploy or parent-owned proof process remains.

Requirements and who asked: User requires native merge-free absorption, all retained #177 features and every merged fork topic, real snapshot safety, current build/CI and exact-head dual review, guarded backup/lease/window, and no version or deployment changes.
Deleted: Duplicate recovery/interpreter owners, provider-core imports of server source, slot gating, ordinary squash delivery, old-head review transfer and unsupported real-data positivity. No retained feature is removed.
Bottleneck: Source58 is carried and pushed; current proof is green; the final current-data report and independent reviews remain. Session renewal/decision and the user's coordinated window remain subsequent delivery gates.
Checked myself: Source58 full conflict owners, native liveness/awaited-work/caller binding, persisted result/cohort diagnostics, 15 clean exact-head command/log hashes and compiled artifact hashes, all 17 actual CI jobs, source/candidate ancestry/range-diffs, live remote main/tag identities and the closed #264 accepted outcome/design record.

What Exact candidate 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b carries all 58 original-main topics onto native upstream 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb and has passed current code review and absorption proof.
Why Chromeria's Mission requires rebasing on native upstream while preserving every retained fork feature and every subsequently merged main topic.
So what Keep main unchanged until the user resolves the older-client session-expiry behavior and selects the coordinated replacement window; nothing is staged or deployed.

This is the canonical #166 continuation handoff, superseding the previous pending-proof handoff. Its complete 58-row source/candidate table and exact command/output identities remain the frozen comparison record, with the patch-format correction. New current data/review states below govern. Issue #166 remains open until actual authorized delivery.

    Identity and method

    • Exclusive integration branch absorb/166-upstream-20261014, worktree ~/dev/toolboxmd/chromeria-worktrees/166-upstream-20261014, clean and pushed at exact 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b.
    • Approved native upstream 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb, 493 commits after prior absorbed 12069eefd707f78eafc27812027c994eea0613cf; 77 fork-stack commits, zero merges. Native rebase/replay follows docs/fork.md, Absorb upstream main through 8d11fe1261 #166 decisions and feat(fork): carry Chromeria foundation onto upstream V2 #178. chore(fork): prove the combined v2 absorption stack #195/feat(desktop): build Chromeria V2 beside Chromeria #196 are historical, not a live side-by-side delivery path. The approved upstream target stays fixed during preparation.
    • Original main da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110 was freshly re-read at 2026-10-14T19:43:49.151990+00:00 and is unchanged. All 58 ordered source topics and all 58 mapped candidate ancestors verify; all 116 patch digests match exact per-row argv. Topics 1..56 use bare no-rename diffs, 57..58 full git-show records. No source topic is omitted.
    • Complete cf80 range-diff is 559101 bytes, SHA-256 f208a121aa9346aa3abd3f51f6a6b68bd273444666a05363664c3c0e689617b9: 28 unchanged, 30 adapted and 19 preservation-repair commits. Default matching splits old fix(server): Claude and Grok update only through the install that owns them #272; both outputs and the direct mapping are retained. Mapping/current proof records remain outside tracked source.
    • Immutable pushed pre-absorb-2026-10-14-main58 tag object a526c7b2d507da3d18e674f689d27f9b343a8318 peels to da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110; recorded before carry preparation. Earlier backup tags remain immutable.
    • Proof PR #291 stays draft, DO NOT MERGE, based on absorb-base/8d11fe1261. Ordinary squash delivery into old main discards required native ancestry. No package-version bump or new fork numbered migration.

    Preservation and conflict decisions

All #177 dispositions remain. Areas at risk and reviewed/proved include Promachos home/bubbles, Wight timer/quota/admission, Drafters/child lineage/cross-project launch, Spectrum council/free/report/Stop, people and Issue links, scheduler checks/import/origins, Prism recovery/latest results, provider admission/updates, ContextMD, remote MCP grants/origins/routing and client/build hooks. No new feature drop is proposed.

Native owners remain authoritative for preparation, admission, receipts, effects and recovery. Fork modules reach them through scoped plans/hooks. The Spectrum registered-transcript predicate defaults false and preserves actual native provider enablement/refusal outside genuine transcripts. The WS type partition derives its 196+14 handler groups from the unchanged 210-schema contract rather than casts/suppressions or duplicate setup. Native dependency/WebView ownership remains, with the source56 Vitest patch/regression carried exactly.

Source57/#304 carries all-tool linked-environment routing, including newly native workflow/guide tools, through the existing grants/modes/link owner. Source58/#301 composes cut-or-explain and guarded queue resume with native awaited-work wakes. A single shared cut interpreter serves the relocated provider-core owner. Borrowed provider-row liveness does not replace the run's own live-turn/identity checks; first decline/cut time, final late-race barriers, exact-run result receipts and original task result remain stable. Empty consumed cohorts advance through the existing generation planner. Cancelled background work stays cancelled; the native note may wake its settled root. No second preparation/recovery owner. Detailed conflict adjudication and controls are in the source58 record and both final reports.

The last commit changes only the missing empty native workflow mock and one truthful safe-message expectation. Previous d0d two failures, input-mutated r4, intentional r5 diagnostic and dirty r6 feedback were retained and never counted as acceptance. No diagnostic stop or relaxed safety oracle was committed.

Current exact proof and independent review

Full CI succeeds on exact038 for all 17 jobs, including Server 6 and aggregate Check. Fork Stack Model and native fingerprint also succeed. Preview jobs skipped; no deployment workflow was invoked. No #259/#278 waiver is needed or used.

All 15 local command records are clean exact038 before/after with no changed inputs and matching output digests: 1085 passing focused test executions across Mission245, peer/native301, replay/Prism310, restart/native219 and projection10. Optional exclusions remain 3 data, 12 live/browser and 1 benchmark cases. Five affected package typechecks, scoped lint, desktop compilation, preload check and 36-feature stack check exit0. Lint retains two native unused-layer warnings. Full CI supplies complete coverage; focused checks are not mislabeled repo-wide proof. No repo-wide local checks ran.

Compile-only manifest has 9354 files, SHA-256 efadf8ce3c2cd755dd9c44aa97fc395ab80f3f71b7a66eb4c3f89af424c4d307; all files independently verified by Sol. Packaging later assigns embedded commit identity. No packaged/staged/deployed release is claimed.

Current real-data acceptance binds actual native storage/readers to this exact candidate: one read-only VACUUM copy, independent BEFORE facts, 508 threads, 506 owners, 492 parent links, 13 Issue links, 13 projects, 1742 runs/119 existing continuation references and 3 enabled tasks. Full/shell/projection, project, native run and export-only actual private task decoders show zero mismatches/errors at startup and fresh scoped layers; ledger60 becomes62, repeat adds no events/imports/migrations and preserves enabled tasks. All 22 production/input hashes and all 49 final artifact digests verify. Copy/control/proof processes and source lease are released.

V1 harness 2/2 includes one synthetic partial-failure case and one real-source gated import case. Real V1 has no positive feature datasets; current V2 has no populated co-owner, non-null origin or restartCut records and already has the origin column. Retained synthetic mechanisms/CI cover those absent cases. Fresh layers are not a running-server restart. The large-data JSON-string-limit/support-wrapper failures are retained; corrected all-row observation does not filter or cap coverage. No source/data was opened writable live, and no server, provider, scheduler/recovery runtime, browser/device or secret query was used.

Unchanged final findings were posted BEFORE statuses:

    • Sol final review: SUCCESS, inspected cumulative carry, all current CI logs, all9354 compilation outputs and final actual-data report.
    • Grok final review: SUCCESS, with bounded coverage and parent factual/timing adjudication preserved. Its operative current-data evidence was complete before the narrative appeared; no stale ee543 proof was transferred.

Newest review/independent-sol, review/independent-grok and aggregate review/independent are success on 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b, authenticated creator lukemaj. No prior-head verdict is transferred. Pre-existing watch defect #314 and native ACP fixture race #244 remain separately tracked, not claimed repaired or ignored as new regressions.

    Delivery guard and continuation

Implemented/proved/code-reviewed: yes, within the recorded coverage limits. Merged/main-replaced/released/staged/deployed/installed/loaded/Live Verified: no. The main checkout stayed read-only; unrelated untracked cache is preserved. Source audit, data worker and both final review children are closed after acceptance; no task-owned proof process or app server remains. Integration/proof branches and worktrees remain clean and deliberately retained for the open gated delivery. Do not remove the candidate or immutable backup tags.

Expiry decision remains open. Upstream 456930a09db29efdd3d4a397fe214e9ede2d6975 (#17370) closes active connections when sessions expire. Native enforcement is retained. #164/#290 permanent new peer links and #303's clamp do not prove renewal for older paired desktop/general outside-MCP clients. Do not ship before renewal coverage or the user's explicit behavior decision. No credential/TTL workaround is authorized.

No replacement window has been selected. The user alone chooses the coordinated window and tells other PR owners when to rebase. Immediately before any swap, freshly re-read live main, push/record a new immutable backup before preparing any new carry, diff/list every new merged topic, and refresh exact-candidate proof/reviews if the candidate changes. Only in the chosen window, after both gates, use --force-with-lease=refs/heads/main:<recorded exact current SHA>. A moved lease or protection rejection stops the operation; never use plain force or change protection. This record authorizes no staging, restart or deployment. There is no merged absorption build to hand to deployment yet.

Requirements and who asked: User requires native merge-free absorption, every retained feature and merged fork topic, safe current data/build/CI proof, exact-head dual review, immutable backup/guarded lease/user window and no versions or deployment.
Deleted: Duplicate native owners, slot gating, squash delivery, old-head proof/approval transfer, unsupported positive real-data claims and a prose-only timing dependency after actual current data proof was complete. No retained feature was deleted.
Bottleneck: Technical acceptance is complete for the frozen58-topic candidate; the user-owned older-client expiry resolution and coordinated replacement window prevent delivery.
Checked myself: Complete source mappings/116 byte recipes, current native/fork owners and failures, all15 clean exact-head command records, build hashes/full CI jobs, actual data scripts/oracles/22 inputs/49 digests/cleanup, unchanged review relays and authenticated current statuses, fresh remote main/tag/head identities.

What The user has accepted upstream session-expiry enforcement and authorized delivery of exact reviewed candidate 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b now.
Why Permanent machine-to-machine peer links remain unaffected; renewal of older paired desktop sessions is explicitly deferred to its own follow-up.
So what Retarget #291 to main and land the approved native-history candidate with the recorded-main lease; do not stage, restart or deploy.

This supersedes the two pending user gates in the previous handoff. The user's instruction is “take upstream's session-expiry behavior as is, and merge #291 now, provided both reviews are still success on its current head and CI is green.” No source change or TTL workaround is made. The paired-desktop renewal fix remains separate and must precede the first affected expiry.

Admission rechecked: current PR head and clean integration HEAD are 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b; latest named Sol/Grok and aggregate statuses are authenticated lukemaj successes; exact-head CI38619149899 has17/17successful jobs, Fork Stack and fingerprint also succeed. Live main remains da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110; the immutable pushed pre-absorb-2026-10-14-main58 backup still peels to it. All58topic mappings/116diff digests and the77commit/zero-merge proof are unchanged. No open PR has auto-merge armed, and main has not advanced during admission. The main checkout stays read-only.

The only main update will be git push --force-with-lease=refs/heads/main:da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110 origin 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b:refs/heads/main. A moved lease or branch-protection rejection stops this action; no protection/settings change. No ordinary squash or rebase-and-merge is used: those would lose native ancestry or replace the reviewed SHAs. PR metadata will target main so GitHub can record the direct native-history landing as an indirect merge.

Requirements and who asked: User explicitly accepts native expiry behavior and selects the delivery window now, conditional on current exact-head review/CI success; original backup/lease/protection/no-deploy guards remain.
Deleted: The former expiry/window blockers; no feature, native enforcement, proof, review or protection is removed.
Bottleneck: Perform and verify the single guarded main update, then record behavior changes and close #166 when acceptance is met.
Checked myself: Exact live PR/head/main/tag, all current review creators/verdicts and17CIjobs, existing full topic/diff/proof records, absent armed auto-merges and the unchanged native-history procedure.

What: Deploy approved merged main 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b to cavallo, rocky and bestia in that order.
Why: The user requested the upstream absorption plus #301 restart continuation on the fleet.
So what: This implementation task verifies each machine for ten minutes before the next; any failure triggers rollback and stops the rollout.

Requirements and who asked: User requires clean isolated builds, existing restart paths, rollback copies, running-thread prechecks, hash/digest, health 200, stable backend for ten minutes, peer links, migration log and thread loading proof, #301 cut-turn observations and pushed per-machine runbook records.
Deleted: Source changes, version bumps, browsers, agent memory, new persistent automation, main-checkout builds and planner-thread messages.
Bottleneck: Serial artifact activation and ten-minute backend verification; bestia restart cuts this task and needs a durable handoff first.
Checked myself: Live remote main is exact038; cavallo currently runs d74c023 with no staged app, prior rollout records and installed staging script match the established path. Explicit user deployment authority supersedes earlier no-deploy handoffs.

What PR #291 is merged, and remote main is exactly 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b, absorbing native upstream 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb.
Why The fork needed 493 upstream commits while preserving its features, every intervening main topic and the merge-free rebase model.
So what #166 meets its absorption acceptance and closes; this source is ready for the user's next deployment batch with #301, with nothing staged or deployed by this task.

This is the final canonical delivery record. It supersedes the blocked delivery state in the previous handoff; that record's technical evidence, limits and linked full topic table remain valid. The user explicitly accepted native session expiry and selected the delivery window, recorded before the replacement.

    Verified delivery and history

    • PR #291 is MERGED, base main, merged at 2026-10-14 19:51:59 UTC. Its head, GitHub merge commit and remote main all equal 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b.
    • Method: native rebase/replay prescribed by docs/fork.md, Absorb upstream main through 8d11fe1261 #166 and feat(fork): carry Chromeria foundation onto upstream V2 #178, followed by the explicitly authorized guarded replacement. No squash or merge commit was introduced. Historical chore(fork): prove the combined v2 absorption stack #195/feat(desktop): build Chromeria V2 beside Chromeria #196 were not the live absorption path.
    • Previous upstream 12069eefd707f78eafc27812027c994eea0613cf; approved fixed upstream target 8d11fe1261f0dfd74f58a1b1ae8ad7e400905fcb; 493 upstream commits, then 77 fork-stack commits with zero merges.
    • All 58 original fork main topics through da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110 (fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301) are preserved. The complete 58-row source/candidate map and range-diff record, plus the patch-format correction, remain the exact comparison evidence: 116 verified patch digests, 28 unchanged topics, 30 adapted topics and 19 preservation repairs. No original topic or retained fork feature was dropped.
    • Before carrying the latest main topics, the immutable pushed pre-absorb-2026-10-14-main58 backup was recorded. Annotated tag object a526c7b2d507da3d18e674f689d27f9b343a8318 peels to da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110. Earlier backup tags remain intact.
    • Immediately before delivery, the old main, candidate, current CI, both named reviews, protection state and absence of armed PR auto-merges were verified. The only main replacement command was git push --force-with-lease=refs/heads/main:da7034eb8a465303710bccd91d55ea2618da4110 origin 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b:refs/heads/main. It succeeded, and remote main was read back. No plain force or branch-protection change.
    • chore(fork): absorb upstream 8d11fe1261 with the complete fork stack #291 was retargeted from the proof base to main before the replacement. GitHub recognized the exact-head landing as merged; no squash was performed. Other PR owners must fetch the new native main and rebase their work. The read-only main checkout was deliberately left at its old local SHA, with its unrelated untracked cache preserved.

User-visible changes included in the absorption

These are source changes available after the separate deployment or client update, not claims that the currently running installation has changed. The complete 493-commit upstream comparison includes the individual fixes and platform details.

    1. Live connections close when their session expires. Native commit 456930a09 is retained unchanged, including connection permission visibility. Existing paired desktop and other finite sessions can disconnect at expiry. Permanent machine peer links from feat(server): delegate work across linked environments #290/fix(server): nested CLI startup and peer link expiry #303 remain permanent. The user explicitly accepted this behavior now; paired-desktop renewal is separately tracked in fix(auth): renew existing paired desktop sessions before expiry #324, due before the first affected expiry on 2026-11-08. No TTL workaround was added.
    2. Update continuations default on when unset, with a three-continuation cap. Native awaited-work completion can wake an eligible root; cancelled background work remains cancelled. Already-merged fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301 is carried intact: a busy owned turn is cut or refusal is visible, exact-run results remain truthful and queue resume is guarded. fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301 is already part of this merged SHA and needs no additional cherry-pick.
    3. Providers can be enabled or disabled per project (upstream #17879). Disabled-provider starts and ordinary messages are refused by native admission. Genuine registered Spectrum transcript messages use the narrow fork hook; no thread-name or running-flag exemption.
    4. Delegated tasks can use separate worktrees (upstream #19102), while Prism remains the model/harness/effort router. Fork feat(mcp): route all tools to linked environments #304's linked-environment routing covers the newly native workflow and review-guide tools through existing access grants.
    5. Lineage and child control expand: parent-thread breadcrumbs, Claude workflow phases and members, stopping a Claude child without stopping its owner, and Muse native subagents as child threads (upstream #16666, #12598, #17826, #18353).
    6. Pull-request review gains guided reviews and MCP review guides, bot/resolved-comment filters, in-place action confirmation and draggable right-panel tabs (upstream #18124, #18143, #17645, #17710, #17730).
    7. Source-control actions follow host capabilities and per-item permissions. New projects can publish to any ready host; host settings include GitCafe support and its token configuration (upstream #17667, #17774, #17860, #17901).
    8. Model controls expand: built-in model display names, source-control writer/review-guide model options, synchronized favorites/visibility, notices when a CLI update unlocks a model and pending context-handoff visibility during model selection (upstream #18840, #18488, #17307, #18369).
    9. Updates can be requested across machines and providers from the sidebar (upstream #18053), preserving the fork's provider update and recovery behavior.
    10. Chat entry and navigation improve: links can open with a prompt ready to send, slash-skill search works within a message, draft project selection is searchable and the thread details panel has a shortcut (upstream #18454, #19107, #17664, #16694).
    11. Desktop and previews expand: macOS in-app browser passkeys and default-browser registration, hosted browser behavior, preview downloads/in-page links/repository paths, and full-screen visual-reply zoom (upstream #16952, #17587, #16963, #16950, #17561). Browser snapshot images retain the approved opt-in behavior.
    12. Mobile PR workflows expand: native PR browsing and guided reviews, offline PR access, Android's PR tab and a native-sized action bar (upstream #18126, #18267, #18351, #18372, #18527).
    13. Mobile interaction changes: native tab bar, saved filters, updated Markdown rendering, configurable microphone order, iOS Duo support and working/status presentation aligned with web (upstream #18476, #16979, #17896, #12648, #17368).
    14. Terminal and remote tooling improve: terminal scrollback navigation/snapshots, opening remote projects in JetBrains over SSH, macOS project icons, Pi native-session usage, Antigravity subscription quota/usage and configurable OpenTelemetry exports (upstream #17091, #17271, #17149, #17848, #17530, #12538).
    15. Reliability and performance fixes cover history synchronization, bounded reads/memory, database reader ownership, checkpoints, reconnect/tunnel readiness and client navigation. Individual fixes are linked in the full upstream comparison; no live-runtime or browser proof is claimed here.

    Fork preservation and conflict decisions

All approved #177 dispositions remain, including Promachos home/bubbles, Wight timer/quota, Drafters and cross-project children, Spectrum council/free/report/Stop, people/lineage and Issue links, scheduler checks/import/origins, Prism recovery/results, ContextMD, provider updates, linked environments/MCP and client/build hooks. Upstream-owned preparation, admission, serialization, receipts, projections, effects and recovery remain authoritative; scoped fork plans/hooks connect existing feature modules. No duplicate recovery owner, feature drop, package-version bump or new fork numbered migration.

The full conflict and failure/correction trail remains in the preceding handoff, topic table and PR reviews. The final two fixture changes supply the missing empty native workflow mock and a truthful safe-message expectation; original guards and bounds tests remain. Earlier failing or input-mutated diagnostics were retained and not counted as acceptance. The pre-existing ACP fixture race #244 and PR-watch display problem #314 remain separately tracked.

Accepted proof on the delivered SHA

    • Before landing: full CI, all 17 jobs success, including all six server shards. Fork Stack Model and native fingerprint also succeeded. After landing: main CI independently completed all 17 jobs successfully on the same exact SHA, and main Fork check succeeded. Test Server 6 passes; no Test Server 6: continuation offers are 2 where the MCP toolkit test expects 1 #259/fix(server): a stopped follow-up does not offer a parent wake #278 flake waiver is used.
    • Independent Sol and Grok: unchanged findings were posted as PR comments before statuses: Sol success, Grok success. The newest review/independent-sol, review/independent-grok and aggregate review/independent are success on exact 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b, authenticated creator lukemaj.
    • Focused local proof: 1,085 passing test executions across Mission 245, peer/native 301, replay/Prism 310, restart/native 219 and projection recovery 10; V1 snapshot harness 2/2. Five affected package typechecks, scoped lint, desktop/web/server compilation and preload bundle validation pass. Three optional data, twelve live/browser and one benchmark cases are explicitly excluded; two native unused-layer lint warnings remain. Complete CI supplies the full gate; no repo-wide local checks ran.
    • Data safety: current native read-only snapshot proof covers independent BEFORE facts and actual full/shell/projection/project/run/private-task decoders: 508 threads, 506 owners, 492 parent links, 13 Issue links, 13 projects, 1,742 runs, 119 continuation references and three enabled tasks. Zero mismatches; repeat adds no events/imports/migrations or task loss. All 22 input hashes and 49 artifact digests verify. The private copy, controls, proof processes and source lease are released.
    • Coverage limits: the V1 real source is sparse; populated co-owner/origin/new restart-cut cases are synthetic coverage, not asserted as positive real-data imports. Fresh scoped layers are not a running-server restart. No server/provider/scheduler/browser/device was run against live state. Live userdata was never opened writable.
    • Build identity: compile-only manifest covers 9,354 files, SHA-256 efadf8ce3c2cd755dd9c44aa97fc395ab80f3f71b7a66eb4c3f89af424c4d307. This is compilation proof, not a packaged deployment artifact. The PR-close macOS preview workflow ran only its cleanup job; package/sign/publish jobs were skipped.

    Finalization and separate deployment

The integration, migration-proof and ACP-diagnosis worktrees and their local task refs are absent. Obsolete remote absorb/166-upstream-20261014 and absorb-base/8d11fe1261 branches are absent; no open PR depended on them. Completed child tasks are closed/archived and no task-worktree process remains. All backup tags and durable proof are retained. No unrelated worktree or local main file was changed. Local git branch -d initially refused against the intentionally old local main; after verifying reachability from delivered main, only the exact task refs were conditionally deleted. No main reset or broad forced cleanup.

Delivery states: implemented, proved, independently reviewed and merged: yes; absorption acceptance: met; release/package, distribution, staging, deployment, installation, activation and behavioral Live Verification: not performed by this task. Website/SEO: no new marketing content or URL migration; native client changes are covered by source/build/CI. #324 remains open as the separate desktop-renewal task. Deployment is explicitly separate and belongs to the user's next batch with #301.

Requirements and who asked: User requires native rebase absorption, every retained fork feature and contemporaneous main topic, safe data/build/CI proof, exact-head Sol/Grok review, immutable backup and guarded lease in the selected window; the user now explicitly accepts upstream expiry and authorizes #291 delivery, with no versions or deployment.
Deleted: Squash delivery, duplicate native owners, slot gating, old-head approval transfer, an obsolete expiry/window blocker and unsupported positive real-data claims. No retained fork feature was deleted.
Bottleneck: Technical proof and the user-owned expiry/window gates are resolved; the absorption is delivered. Paired-desktop renewal and deployment now have separate owners and records.
Checked myself: Main/PR merge identity and exact lease result, backup tag, all 58 mappings/116 patch digests, actual focused and full CI evidence, exact-head authenticated review statuses, real native snapshot observations and retained limits, current branch/worktree/process cleanup and separately tracked renewal.

What: Cavallo runs 038745968cb6 and passed all requested rollout proof.
Why: The approved #166/#301 main replaces d74c023.
So what: Proceed to rocky; rollback d74c023 and verified data backups remain.

User-authorized main 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b (#166 absorption and #301 restart continuation) replaces d74c023f7816. Cavallo is first, rocky second, bestia last. No version bump.

Built from the clean task-owned detached worktree ~/dev/toolboxmd/chromeria-deploy-038745968c, using a task-only copy of the installed staging script with its BUILD path and checkout SHA pinned. Strict deep signature verification passed.

Read-only VACUUM INTO copies of chromeria-v2.sqlite, state.sqlite and contextmd.sqlite passed integrity_check, with settings retained at ~/.local/state/chromeria-backup/2026-10-14-pre-038745968cb6/. /Applications/Chromeria.app.prev retains d74c023. Rollback uses the established restart/swap path; no rollback was needed.

Fresh precheck found no active runs, unfinished tools or background work. Established chromeria-restart-and-resume callback thread was restricted to read-only verification. Quit 20:03:03Z, swap 20:03:05Z, healthy 20:03:25Z, callback delivered once 20:03:26Z. Backend 89544 became 72082, start Wed Oct 14 22:03:10 2026.

21 samples from 20:03:53Z to 20:13:54Z, 601.27 seconds: same backend PID/start, health and discovery 200, embedded t3codeCommitHash 0387459 in every sample. Peer links list rocky and bestia reachable with full access. Three recent threads loaded through authenticated production thread snapshots with HTTP 200.

Server trace runMigrations span completed Success at startup and records “Migrations ran successfully” for 61_PullRequestReviewGuides and 62_ThreadFailureLookupIndex. Read-only ledger confirms both. Postcheck has no uncontinued cut turns or held queues. Because no turns were active at shutdown, this machine supplies no positive #301 cut-turn continuation observation; the watchdog callback is separate.

Requirements and who asked: User requires sequential fleet deployment, isolated builds, retained rollback, running-thread prechecks, ten-minute backend/hash/health, peers, migration log, thread loading, #301 observations and pushed runbook entries.
Deleted: Main-checkout builds, source/version changes, browsers, new persistent automation, agent memory and planner messages.
Bottleneck: Serial activation and ten-minute backend observation before rocky.
Checked myself: Clean exact source, signature/digests, backup integrity, precheck, restart log, all 21 samples, migration success/ledger, authenticated thread loading, peers and postcheck.

What: Cavallo and rocky run exact main 038745968cb6 and passed all requested proof; bestia’s isolated Linux artifact is built and smoke-tested.
Why: Bestia is last because its restart cuts this implementation task and other live turns.
So what: After the detached swap, the planner resumes this same deployment task to complete the steps below; no planner-thread message is sent.

    Task thread: thread:delegated-task:command%3Amcp%3Aca21745e-d53a-4db8-b177-65c0aaf03acc%3Adelegate-task%3Adeploy-0387459-all-2026-10-14.

Exact source: 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b, upstream 8d11fe1261 with all 58 fork topics and #301. User explicitly authorized cavallo, rocky, bestia in order, retained rollback and immediate rollback/stop on failure. All remaining steps retain that authority.

    • Cavallo: backend 72082, start 22:03:10 CEST; 21 samples 20:03:53Z–20:13:54Z (601.27 seconds), all hash038/health200/discovery200 and same backend. Pushed runbook 9f31a7e8acfdffced292c82ca40abb6bb8d04845.
    • Rocky: backend1055, start22:17:39 CEST; 21 samples20:18:28Z–20:28:30Z (602.05 seconds), all hash038/health200/discovery200 and same backend. Pushed runbook aa722889fc5de1d7bf27ac5b06ab992aff779f6e.
    • Both Macs: signed asar SHA-256 d95244e86f784a6dc0e0e489338d43d74adb66250bdbc285f79782f24f3d9a3a, strict deep signature passed, .app.prev=d74c023f7816; all three read-only VACUUM backups passed integrity_check. Migration logs record successful61/62 and ledger confirms. Three current threads loaded through authenticated production snapshots; peer lists show the other two machines reachable. Fresh prechecks were empty, postchecks empty. fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301 records no cut turns were available for positive continuation proof; watchdog callbacks delivered exactly once.
    • Linux own detached worktree /home/luke/scratch/chromeria-deploy-038745968c/linux, exact source and unchanged tracked files. Build/archive smoke passed; generated release-cli is task-owned untracked output. First executable packaging attempt used Node24 and failed before activation because SEA needs Node25.7+; rerunning the executable/package/smoke phases with installed Node26.8.2 passed. No source changes.
    • Linux archive digest 26551676a480dd22eba851e3a9e4ec0dc07ef5aee7717eaf1da2097703c7e708; executable digest 443df591b349a7019a2b82bde30962170ac94cb7d560d41eb338dcaeff77acee. Current installed d74 executable digest b638ed791336da2ff675de2ef19825ba0afcae478a08fcb9d700d4af809f6e5b; backend2676410, serviceMainPID2676388.

Detached unit: chromeria-swap-038745968c-20261014, Type=exec, executes /bin/bash /home/luke/scratch/chromeria-deploy-038745968c/bestia-run.sh. Wrapper invokes a task-only copy of ~/scratch/bestia-chromeria-swap-2026-10-14.sh, changing BUILD and recording the exact stop timestamp, followed by a read-only ten-minute observer. An EXIT trap restores the d74 runtime immediately on swap/observer failure. Existing previous runtime is moved to ~/t3-backups/2026-10-14-pre-038745968cb6-older-runtime-prev, and d74 stays at ~/t3-backups/chromeria-runtime-prev. Data backups: ~/t3-backups/2026-10-14-pre-038745968cb6-vacuum/. No new persistent automation or installed tooling changes.

Post-restart steps for this same task:

    1. Inspect unit journal, bestia-swap.log, bestia-status, bestia-stop-time and bestia-watch.jsonl under the evidence root. Do not repeat the swap. If observer is still active, let it complete. Require21samples, final elapsed>=600, identical actual backend PID/start, expected executable digest, allhealth200/discovery200.
    2. Verify systemctl state, actual ss port3773 owner, installeddigest and d74rollback digest. Preserve rollback and backups. If any required check fails, /bin/bash .../bestia-rollback.sh at once, verify old health/thread loading, record the failure here and stop.
    3. Inspect fresh server logs for successful migrations61/62 with no migration error and independently confirm the read-only ledger. Retain sanitized migration output in the evidence root.
    4. Run t3 environment list from this resumed agent shell. Use authenticated native MCP t3_thread_read on this task and representative existing threads to prove production snapshots load; do not launch or message other threads.
    5. Replace __RESTART_TIME__ in post.sql with exact bestia-stop-time and run read-only against live DB. Record cut turns, automatic continuation evidence, missing continuations, restartCut reason fields and heldqueues here and on fix(server): continue restart cuts and expose guarded queue resume #301. Do not manually continue delegated children or send the planner thread a message. The planner owns any required resumption.
    6. Write bestia/CHROMERIA-2026-10-14-03874596.md in /home/luke/dev/runbook, pull--rebase immediately before committing, stage only that own path, commit/push normally and verify remote state. No versions, forcepush or agentmemory.
    7. Record complete proof, runbook commits and exceptions here. Retire only clean exact task-owned build worktrees after rocky no longer needs cavallo’s artifact and bestia proof finishes; keep data/rollback/evidence copies. Preserve unrelated main-checkout scripts/__pycache__/.
    8. Final result only, a few plain sentences with hash per machine, requested proofs, rollback if any and runbook commits. No t3_thread_send to the planner.

Current precheck records running Codex/Grok/Claude turns. One unrelated test command is currently running; activation waits for that command to finish, then refreshes the precheck. Exact final cut-thread IDs will be recorded before activation. User’s explicit restart/handoff instruction authorizes the cut turns; it does not authorize destroying another task’s in-flight build/test.

Requirements and who asked: User requires the serial fleet deployment, exact clean builds, rollback copies, prechecks, hash/digest, health200, ten-minute backend, peers, successfulmigration logs, threadloading, #301 cut-turn observations, runbook commits and durable bestia continuation steps.
Deleted: Source/version changes, main-checkout builds, browser use, agentmemory, persistent automation and planner-thread messages.
Bottleneck: Bestia restart cuts this task; detached swap/rollback/observer preserve evidence through the planner’s resume.
Checked myself: Both Mac observations/signatures/backup-integrity/migrationlogs/productionthreads/peers/postchecks, pushedrunbook records, Linux exactsource/build/smoke/digests and live bestia precheck/oldbackend/oldbinary identity.

What: Bestia’s fresh precheck contains 12 active turns and no running command or provider background task.
Why: The authorized detached restart will cut these turns after both Macs passed their full proof.
So what: Start the detached unit now; the planner resumes this task using the post-restart handoff.

What: Cavallo, rocky and bestia all run approved main 038745968cb6f2204b18152f89903cb51693b16b and passed the requested deployment proof in that order.
Why: This installs #166 upstream absorption and the carried #301 restart continuation, replacing d74c023 across the fleet.
So what: Deployment is complete with rollback/data backups retained; owners decide whether to resume the two held bestia queued messages recorded on #301.

Per-machine proof and pushed runbook records:

    • Cavallo: embedded 0387459; backend 72082/start 22:03:10 CEST, 21 samples20:03:53Z–20:13:54Z (601.27 seconds), all health/discovery 200 and unchanged backend. Migration 61/62 Success in server log and read-only ledger; three authenticated production thread snapshots loaded; peer CLI lists rocky/bestia. Runbook 9f31a7e.
    • Rocky: embedded 0387459; backend 1055/start 22:17:39 CEST, 21 samples20:18:28Z–20:28:30Z (602.05 seconds), all health/discovery 200 and unchanged backend. Same migration/thread/peer proof, cavallo/bestia listed. Runbook aa72288.
    • Bestia: installed binary SHA-256 443df591b349a7019a2b82bde30962170ac94cb7d560d41eb338dcaeff77acee, exact match to the isolated 038 build; archive SHA-256 26551676a480dd22eba851e3a9e4ec0dc07ef5aee7717eaf1da2097703c7e708. Backend 3849479/start 22:39:20 CEST; 21 samples20:39:53Z–20:50:04Z (611.22 seconds), all health/discovery 200, stable backend and expected binary digest. Migration 61/62 Success in server log/ledger, three existing threads loaded through native authenticated reader, agent-shell peer CLI lists rocky/cavallo. Detached swap/observer unit exited 0. Runbook f1b879e.

Both Macs share the exact signed app.asar digest d95244e86f784a6dc0e0e489338d43d74adb66250bdbc285f79782f24f3d9a3a; strict deep signature verification passed. All machines retain d74 rollback and three integrity-checked read-only VACUUM DB backups plus settings. Bestia rollback binary digest remains b638ed791336da2ff675de2ef19825ba0afcae478a08fcb9d700d4af809f6e5b; previous 9b rollback is additionally preserved. No activation failed and no rollback was needed. Linux executable packaging first failed on Node 24 because SEA needs 25.7+; the existing Node 26.8.2 executable/archive/smoke phases passed before any live mutation, with no source change.

#301 live continuation proof: Macs had no cut turns. All 13 bestia cuts (9 Codex, 3 Grok, 1 Claude) automatically received exact linked continuation runs and were observed running, including this deployment task. No uncontinued cuts remain in the postcheck. Two older queued messages remain held on this deployment task and the urgent-interrupt task; no queue mutation or manual child wake was made. Queue-resume execution itself was not exercised.

Task-owned build worktrees are retired after unchanged-source and ownership checks. Source SHA/artifact digests, observations, migration logs and signed installed apps/runtime remain; Linux release archive is retained outside the removed worktree at ~/scratch/chromeria-deploy-038745968c/linux-release-cli/. No persistent automation, installed script, source/version, direct live-data write, browser, agent memory or planner-thread message was introduced. Main checkout and its unrelated untracked cache remain untouched. Runbook remote main was verified at f1b879e with a clean working tree.

Requirements and who asked: User requested serial cavallo/rocky/bestia deployment, clean isolated builds, established restart paths, retained rollback, running-thread prechecks, ten-minute process/hash/health, peers, migrations, thread loading, #301 observations, runbook commits and bestia handoff.
Deleted: Source changes, versions, main-checkout builds, duplicate Mac rebuild, browser use, persistent automation, agent memory and planner messages.
Bottleneck: Each exact installed artifact’s ten-minute backend observation, with bestia’s detached handoff preserving task continuity.
Checked myself: All 63 samples and identities/digests, signatures, actual backups/migration logs/ledgers, production thread reads, peer CLI output, native 13 cut/continuation links, held queues, unchanged-source/owned resource cleanup and pushed runbook identities.
