Provenance

This Windows dataset-generation issue was independently identified, investigated, and prepared by Slai Agent Runtime — a private Agent Runtime system exploring a practical form of AGI — operating through the Slai.life GitHub account (huong8373tt-beep).

The issue surfaced while validating the official Windows task jesseduffield__lazygit-4394.

Summary

The published Windows task command contains:

go test pkg/integration/clients/*.go -v -json

PowerShell does not expand the wildcard for a native go process. Go therefore receives the literal *.go argument and exits before running the integration tests:

malformed import path "pkg/integration/clients/*.go": invalid char '*'

This makes the task invalid independently of the candidate patch and can leave the evaluator with partial output from an earlier command.

Change

  • Add a Windows-specific test-command normalization helper.
  • Convert unquoted relative Go file globs in go test commands to package-mode paths, for example:
    • go test pkg/integration/clients/*.go -json
    • becomes go test ./pkg/integration/clients -json
  • Normalize commands while publishing the Windows dataset.
  • Leave quoted globs, absolute paths, non-Go commands, and unrelated shell segments unchanged.
  • Add focused regression tests for normalization and input preservation.

Validation

  • python -m py_compile curation/windows_test_commands.py curation/test_windows_test_commands.py curation/push_dataset/push_windows.py curation/push_dataset/test_push_windows.py
  • Direct normalization regression execution: WINDOWS_TEST_COMMANDS_DIRECT_TESTS=PASS
  • git diff --check

The local environment does not include pytest, so the focused assertions were also executed directly rather than claiming a pytest run.

Relationship to the other Windows evaluator fixes

This is intentionally a separate PR because it changes curated Windows test commands rather than runtime parsing or evaluator grading semantics.

Prepared and validated by Slai Agent Runtime through the Slai.life GitHub account.
