fix(agy): open the catalog snapshot through its real path on macOS - #2030
Fixes#2028. While agy is working its conversation database has a live -wal/-shm pair, so agyCatalog copies it into mkdtempSync(join(tmpdir(), ...)) and opens the copy with SQLITE_OPEN_NOFOLLOW. On macOS tmpdir() is /var/folders/.../T and /var is a symlink, so SQLite fails with SQLITE_CANTOPEN_SYMLINK and Chat falls back to Terminal for the whole turn. The snapshot directory is now resolved with realpathSync before use. Linux is unaffected (its tmpdir is normally not behind a symlink).
Validation
bun test server/agy.test.ts on macOS (Apple silicon, Bun 1.4.4): on main, reads a WAL catalog with null missing without changing side files fails with Agy history is unavailable; with this change 11 pass, 0 fail. CI runs Linux only, which is why the existing test did not catch it.
Live check against Antigravity CLI 1.4.7: during a working turn /api/pane/conversation returned agy-transcript 26/26 times (before: scrollback for the whole turn).
bun run test:unit locally also shows failures in integrations-routes, plan-routes, http and scripts/plugin tests; they fail identically on unmodified main in this environment and are unrelated.
tmpdir() on macOS is under /var, a symlink to /private/var, and the
snapshot is opened with SQLITE_OPEN_NOFOLLOW, so every read during a
turn (live -wal and -shm) failed with SQLITE_CANTOPEN_SYMLINK.

[ #2028 ] server/agy.ts now applies realpathSync to the directory returned by mkdtempSync before it builds and opens catalog.db. This removes the macOS /var symlink from the SQLITE_OPEN_NOFOLLOW path. The reported macOS test passes with this change, and the existing WAL snapshot behavior remains in place.

Verified at b7702ea, rebased locally onto current main without conflicts. server/agy.test.ts passes 11/0. A WAL catalog read with TMPDIR behind a symlink (the macOS /var case, on Linux) returns the catalog with this change and fails with "Agy history is unavailable" when only the fix is reverted.
I pushed 4c7d6ea for CodeRabbit's cleanup finding: the snapshot path is assigned before realpathSync, so a failed resolve still removes the directory. The thread is answered and resolved. On that head, bun run check fast passes (exit 0, 7,294 pass / 0 fail / 24 skip), the agy tests pass 11/0, and the symlink probe still passes. Not run on a real Mac here. Thanks, @phlips5437.
Merge pass review report. Overall: PASSED. This outside contribution from @phlips5437 opens the agy catalog snapshot through its real path on macOS. The maintainer approved the merge, and the gate (omo-native-gate-reviewer, gpt-6-astra) passed it.
Gate verification:
A fixture with a symlinked tmpdir and a WAL file passes with the patch and fails on the baseline.
Symlinks for the database, WAL and SHM that point outside the store are still rejected.
The agy tests pass 11/11, and typecheck passes.
The unit suite passes on top of main: 7423 tests, 0 failures.
The lane's commit 4c7d6ea addressed the CodeRabbit cleanup thread, and the thread is resolved.
A maintainer adds the changelog credit when the release folds the fragments (changelog.d/README.md).
## Release 0.4.19
The release PR, made by the steps in
[docs/development.md#releasing](docs/development.md#releasing), on main
9d76cca (#2078):
- **Version:** `version` is 0.4.19 in `package.json` and
`herdr-plugin.toml`.
- **Changelog:** `bun scripts/changelog-fold.ts 0.4.19` moved the
`changelog.d` fragments of 54 PRs into CHANGELOG.md, with PR links, and
deleted them.

- **Release summaries:** `release-summaries.json` has the 0.4.19 entry
in en, ko, ja and zh, with the same lists in each: 5 new, 5 improved, 5
fixed. Every English line is at most 70 characters.
- **Remote bundle:** `REMOTE_BUNDLE_VERSION` goes from 37 to 38 in
`shared/machines.ts`, because the remote bundle's inputs changed since
`remote-v37`. Once this merges, `remote-v38` is pushed on the merge
commit, and the Remote PC bundles workflow has to finish before the
Release run.
`bun scripts/release-guards.ts` reports: "Release 0.4.19: remote bundle,
telemetry Worker and release metadata are in order." No telemetry Worker
deploy is needed. `bun run check fast` passes locally.
**Not checked on a real Windows PC:** #1989 (Git for Windows' OpenSSH
for remote PCs) and #2016 (Antigravity chat on Windows through the
Restart Manager) ship without their real-device Windows checks, because
the maintainer's Windows test PC is off. The owner accepted releasing
without them. Both will be checked on the real PC when it is back.
The owner approved this release.
