One file per entry under docs/language_status/register/ (front matter: id, family, status, title, area, summary, reached), prose sections in register/_parts/, page order in register/_layout.json. tests/tools/register.py: render, --check (wired into tests/cobol_mainframe/test_db2_image_pin.py), next FAMILY (this tree + origin/main + remote branches), new ID. The combined page has the same non-blank lines as before; only order changed (C8 before C16, X31 moved into the CICS section from the end of the file) plus blank-line normalisation, and a new 'How' bullet in 'Keeping this page true'. Q1a and Q1b have no summary row today; empty summary = no row. Docs that said to edit the page now point at the entry files.
