fix(opencode): OpenCodeServerLedger linux tests no longer race a wrapper's exec - #22209

…per's exec When the spawned OpenCode wrapper had already exited, the ledger could record its forked child before that child exec'd. The recorded full command line was then the wrapper's, so the reaper never matched it again and left the orphaned server running. Record and match on the serve arguments, which survive the exec, instead of the full command line. The test's killGroup finalizer also checked a group and then killed it, which threw ESRCH when the group's last member was reaped in between. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
ApprovabilityVerdict: Approved at Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a narrowly scoped OpenCode process-ledger bug fix that makes orphan identification survive wrapper exec while preserving conservative pid, start-time, group, and argument checks. The accompanying test changes are isolated to deterministic process cleanup and race reproduction, with no product-default or static-analysis override changes. Scan group members when the live leader does not match.
If a wrapper remains the group leader while a child runs the serve command, members contains only the wrapper. When the wrapper command does not end with server.args, find returns undefined even though the child matches. track then writes no entry, so orphan cleanup cannot find that server after the owner dies. Search the group when the live leader does not match.

…per's exec Carries upstream PR pingdotgg#22209. The ledger recorded a forked child's command line before the child exec'd, then refused to stop it afterwards because the command had changed, leaving the live group running. It now records the serve argument suffix and checks that instead, keeping the pid, start time and group checks. OpenCodeServerLedger.test.ts("observing as linux") flaked twice on main today: "records a group whose spawned wrapper already exited" in 39387268551 and "leaves a recycled pid alone when its start time does not match" in 39384036530. These were two separate races. Neither came from a recent change:git logsince 2026-10-14 shows only #19559 (comments) and #21992 (observeLinuxbecamefnUntraced, no behavior change). HostProcess is not involved.Root cause
Wrapper exec race (a production bug). When the spawned process is a wrapper that has already exited,
trackscans the group and records a member whose command line ends with the serve args. A member that has forked but not yet calledexecstill shows its parent's command line, and that also ends with the serve args. The ledger recorded that pre-exec command line as the server's identity. After the child exec'd, the command line changed, sostopOrphan's exactcommandcheck never matched again and the orphaned server kept running. Under CI load the child is often still between fork and exec whentrackreads/proc. This producedexpected true to be false.Check-then-kill in the test's
killGroupfinalizer. The finalizer calledgroupExists(pgid)and thenprocess.kill(-pgid). When a group's last member (here, the SIGKILLedsleepthat init had not yet reaped) disappeared between those two calls, the kill threwkill ESRCH. That was the second failure; the ledger itself behaved correctly.Fix
argsinstead of the member's full command line. BothtrackandstopOrphanmatch with "the command line ends with the serve args", and that survives exec. The identity check is otherwise unchanged: pid, start time, and pgid must still match, and a process that is not running these exact serve args (a recycled pid, a different port) is still left alone. The entry version is now2. A leftover v1 entry no longer decodes, so the reaper removes it without signaling anything, which is the safe direction.trackno longer falls back to recording an arbitrary group member (members[0]) when none runs the serve args. Such an entry could only ever match by luck, and it is the same pre-exec problem. In that casetracklogs the existing "could not record" warning.killGroupjust kills and treatsESRCHas done.execuntil aftertrackhas recorded it, then confirm the exec happened beforereapOrphans. There are no sleeps or polling.Reproduction
