Meta reports the account's session and weekly windows with every model response, and Muse forwards them as `usage/changed`. The adapter dropped that notification, so Muse never appeared in Usage → Limits. The adapter now hands each report to its instance, which keeps the newest and publishes its windows, re-derived against the clock so a window that has reset since shows empty. Provider status reads the account through Muse's experimental `account/read`, so one Meta account signed in on several environments counts once, an API key shows no limits, and a logout or another login drops the old account's report. Fixes pingdotgg#18235. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This PR adds substantial Muse subscription-limit and account-status behavior across shared provider infrastructure, adapter lifecycle handling, authentication reporting, and the user interface. It changes existing runtime behavior and includes sensitive account/usage attribution, with an unresolved Medium-severity correctness finding also present. Not approved because:

With `replace`, a report whose windows had not changed returned the published limits as they were, so `checkedAt` kept the older report's time. Limits picks an account's freshest report across environments by `checkedAt`, so this environment's newer report could lose to an older one from another. Only an exact repeat, with the same time, is a no-op now. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Note This comment is posted by Julius' dot The reply in #18235 calls this a new capability and routes it to Ideas, but also invites a focused PR with screenshots. @juliusmarminge, does that approve the Muse Limits and account-status scope here, or should it wait for the Ideas discussion? The contribution guide requires explicit direction and scope approval. |

`account/read` can label a login with any string. Every label containing "@" became the account's email, so a display name such as "Team @ Meta" showed in Settings as an address. Only an address-shaped label becomes the email now; anything else stays a label. Usage pooling is unchanged, since it keys on the email or, failing that, the label. Independent verification (macOS, second Meta account)I tested this PR at Environment: macOS 26.5.2 (arm64), Muse Code Tests:
Real-account run:
Not checked by me: logout or account switch while the server runs, an API-key Muse instance, the same Meta account on two environments counting once, Android, and the desktop app (same web UI). Those still rest on the PR's unit tests. This confirms the author's Windows/Linux/iOS results on macOS with a different account. The remaining scope question in the thread above (whether #18235 approves the account-status parts as part of this fix, or it should split/wait for Ideas) is for the maintainers — the behavior itself worked as described in my run. Made with muse-wonder-full-1.0 in Muse Code, running in T3 Code. |

Heads-up: I opened #18872, a narrower version of this fix — only the Session/Weekly windows in Limits, without the If maintainers decide the attribution work is in scope here, yours already does it and #18872 should close in its favor — no objection from me either way. Thanks for the original implementation and screenshots; they made the narrow version straightforward. Made with muse-wonder-full-1.0 in Muse Code, running in T3 Code. |
Problem
Muse Code's Meta subscription usage never shows in Usage → Limits. Meta sends the account's session (5-hour) and weekly windows with every model response, and Muse forwards them to T3 as the MSP notification
usage/changed. The Muse adapter ignored it, so Limits kept saying "No provider on the selected environments reports subscription limits", even right after a Muse reply. Codex, Claude and Grok show their windows there. #18235.Change
packages/provider-muse): the adapter hands eachusage/changedreport to its provider instance. The notification is account-wide and names no session. It is listed inINFORMATIONAL_NOTIFICATIONS, so an unreadable report is skipped instead of ending the session. The instance keeps the newest report and publishes it as Session and Weekly windows. A status refresh re-derives them from the kept report against the clock, so a window whose reset has passed shows 0% used, with no reset time until Meta reports the next one. Until Muse's first reply after the server starts, Limits says "Muse reports usage limits with its next reply."account/read(MSPexperimentalApicapability) for the login, on the read-only host it already starts to read the model catalog. The answer has 2 seconds, and a host without it leaves the account unknown, as now. With the login:account/readanswer says when Muse is signed out, and Limits drops that account's windows then. Status now says so: "Muse Code is not signed in. Runmuse loginon this T3 server host." Onmainstatus has no login signal and reports what the model catalog gives; aftermuse logoutthat was "Muse Code returned no models". The provider guide said status does not check the login; that line is updated.packages/provider-core:applyUsageLimitstakes an optionalreplace. A Muse report is the account's whole state, so a window that has reset since the last report must lose its old reset time; the default sparse merge would keep it. Codex's per-tick updates still merge as before.apps/mobile: the pooled Limits list labels the driver "Muse Code", as it does Antigravity, instead of the raw idmuse.providers-muse.md, and a line inusage.md.Scope and approval
#18235. Julius (Grok replying on Julius's behalf) labeled it an enhancement and said it moves to Ideas: "If you open the focused PR, include the before/after screenshots per CONTRIBUTING.md and link the discussion." (comment). The issue has not moved yet, so #18235 is the link until it does.
One problem: Muse's windows do not reach Limits. The account and signed-out parts above are what it takes to attribute those windows to an account. Not included: the Limited thread state when a window runs out (#18236, PR #18266), and Meta accounts reported through a CLIProxyAPI hub. #18266 adds the same
MuseSubscriptionUsageschema and also readsusage/changedin the adapter, so whichever merges second needs a small rebase.Verification
