Provide a clear way to resume an unfinished Claude goal #25956
I could not resume an unfinished goal when using Claude. The original report did not establish whether the provider was native Claude Code or ACP, or capture an exact error.
Code and release status
Native Claude goal continuation differs from Codex. Orchestrator explicitly rejects /goal pause and /goal resume for claudeAgent. Claude interprets those words as new objectives rather than pause/resume operations.
The goal remains set after Stop. Sending the next message allows native Claude to check that goal again. /goal clear removes it. This behavior should not be described as a confirmed regression in a native Claude resume command.
The proposed composer completion change respects that distinction: native Claude receives edit and clear suggestions, while Codex also receives pause and resume. No native Claude or ACP resume implementation is claimed.
This issue was already closed when the audit began. No matching fix PR was established, and the issue remains closed. The unresolved part of the report is the provider connection and the exact failed action.
The connected server is v0.1.2 on Ubuntu 24.04.5 x86_64. The latest inspected nightly is v0.1.4-nightly.20261027.3770. The reporter's browser build and version remain unknown.
Related composer completion PR: #26025. Native Claude resume behavior is unchanged.
