[Bug]: RIght-click behaviour on projects and threads is inconsistent. #2535

Description

@sin4ch

Before submitting

  • I searched existing issues and did not find a duplicate.
  • I included enough detail to reproduce or investigate the problem.

Area

apps/desktop

Steps to reproduce

Video_2026-05-05_22-24-44.mp4

Expected behavior

Right clicking on the thread or project should show the pop-up menu.

Actual behavior

The right-click behaviour is erratic and dependent on the position of the project or the thread on the sidebar. It "might" show me the project grouping options, or prompt me to delete the thread/project, or copy project/thread ID, or actually show the pop up

Impact

Blocks work completely

Version or commit

v0.0.22

Environment

Bun 1.3.13 on Fedora 44

Logs or stack traces

Screenshots, recordings, or supporting files

Workaround

I found a workaround by running npx t3 .. The web version works like it should.

might be related to scaling issues (may be fixed by #2620)

Closing as a duplicate of #2053. Both report the sidebar project/thread context menu opening at the wrong position or triggering inconsistent actions; the discussion on #2053 explicitly led to this follow-up report.

Yeah I created a separate issue because of differing OSes.
