[Bug]: Right Click / Context Menu on Projects & Sessions #2053

Description

@travisjneuman

Before submitting

  • I searched existing issues and did not find a duplicate.
  • I included enough detail to reproduce or investigate the problem.

Area

apps/web

Steps to reproduce

Open t3code on Windows 11 25h2.

Load in a dozen+ or so projects.

Right click projects towards the top and then right click projects towards the bottom to see where the context menu opens.

Expected behavior

The context menu should open where you execute the right click.

Actual behavior

The context menu does not open where you execute the right click.

Context (I right-clicked the one open session in the bottom most project of this screenshot):

  1. Running t3code on Windows 11 25h2. I have 17 projects loaded into the left nav bar currently.
  2. Noticing that when I right click on the projects closer to the top of the list, the context menu opens mostly in the appropriate location.
  3. The further down the list I go, the further off it is.
  4. Attached is where the context menu opens when I right click on the 1 active session I have in the bottom-most project in the list.

Impact

Workaround

All the actions still work, context menu still appears regardless of right-clicking on the top or bottom of the list of projects & sessions. Just a visual bug it appears.

    @sin4ch

    I'm having this issue on Linux as well, and it's been happening since it was made public.

    It's "much" better now, but my current experience is the reverse: at the top of the open projects list, the behaviour is... spontaneous: it either shows nothing at all, copies the thread ID or the project path, or prompts me to delete the thread, then like 3-4 chats down, the right-click menu shows but in inconistent positions per thread/project.

    I'll create a new issue and reference it here, but here's a screen recording:

    Closing because the report does not have the current details needed to investigate. The report targets an April sidebar that has since been replaced and does not include a current reproduction.

    A new issue can be opened with the current application version, reproduction steps, and relevant logs if the problem still occurs.
