OpenCloud 8.1.0 rolling: revisions purge and trash purge-empty-dirs, no nodes found, no trash found #3774

Closed

Description

@ebin-dev

With OpenCloud 8 the following maintenance instructions are not executed correctly (no nodes found, no trash found):

opencloud revisions purge --dry-run=false -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
opencloud trash purge-empty-dirs -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
no nodes found. Double check storage path
❎ No revisions found. Storage provider is clean.
no trash found. Double check storage path
no trash found. Double check storage path

The same maintenance instructions are working correctly if executed with production release OpenCloud 7.2.4:

opencloud revisions purge --dry-run=false -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
opencloud trash purge-empty-dirs -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
❎ No revisions found. Storage provider is clean.

Would you please fix this issue?

    Thanks for the report!
    I was wondering why this fails since we have tests for these commands, so I retested it.

    It seems your terminal doesn't have STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER set, so the CLI uses posix by default and looks for the wrong storage layout. I checked it by removing the variable from my terminal environment and reproduced the bug.

    Could you please run the commands with STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed to check that I'm right?

    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed opencloud revisions purge --dry-run=false -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed opencloud trash purge-empty-dirs -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/

    my output:

    /var/lib/opencloud/storage/users/uploads # env | grep STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER
    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER_LOCAL_ROOT=/srv/app/tmp/opencloud/local/root
    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER_OC_ROOT=/srv/app/tmp/opencloud/storage/users
    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed
    /var/lib/opencloud/storage/users/uploads # opencloud revisions purge -p /var/lib/opencloud/storage/users
    👉 Would delete 1 revisions (3 files / 1 blobs)
    /var/lib/opencloud/storage/users/uploads # env -u STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER opencloud revisions purge -p /var/lib/opencloud/storage/users
    no nodes found. Double check storage path
    ❎ No revisions found. Storage provider is clean.

    Thanks for your reply. I ran OpenCloud 8.1.0 with the option STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed and it works:

    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed opencloud revisions purge --dry-run=false -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
    STORAGE_USERS_DRIVER=decomposed opencloud trash purge-empty-dirs -p /media/opencloud/storage/users/
    ❎ No revisions found. Storage provider is clean.
