…tors The pane ran an unpinned serve-sim in a webview: iOS only, and it timed out whenever no simulator was already booted. It now runs a pinned expo-device-hub from host-service and renders the device with @expo/hub-client inside our own UI: device picker, device keys, a Tools panel and a Logs drawer, for both platforms.

Browser-pane websites share persist:superset with the app, so these hooks also rewrite their requests. When the hub is running, a page can request its loopback /vendor/serve-emu endpoints, have its Origin replaced with the hub's own origin, and read responses through the wildcard CORS headers. This gives untrusted pages access to device logs and controls intended for the Mobile pane.
Restrict both hooks to the trusted app renderer and the active hub port.
How this was verified: Browser-pane webviews load arbitrary HTTP pages in the same partition, while both hooks check only the destination URL and never check the requesting page.

deviceKey treats the name as unique, but different iOS runtimes commonly contain simulators with the same name. The hub ran without --require-token, so any local process could drive the simulators and run commands through it, and a page in a browser pane could reach it through the Origin rewrite on the shared session. host-service now starts the hub with --require-token, reads the token from its startup link, sends it on every request, and hands it to the pane, which passes it to @expo/hub-client and to the log streams. A connection without the token is refused (checked: the helper socket closes with 1008 Unauthorized and a rotate frame has no effect). The released-build localSession URL carries the token so its embedded hub UI still opens. The Origin rewrite is still needed for the iOS settings socket, and now applies only to the app's own window, not to browser panes. Bundle the Device Hub launcher for packaged builds.
localDevices is called when the Mobile pane renders. It reaches ensureLocalServer(), which runs external npx with expo-device-hub@0.17.0. The packaged desktop build includes neither npx nor the Device Hub package.

The Mobile pane from #8087 embedded an unpinned
npx @expo/serve-simpage in a<webview>. On a real machine that meant iOS only, a 20 s timeout whenever no simulator was already booted, and an Expo UI we could not style. Android needed a hand-configuredSUPERSET_ANDROID_MIRROR_CMDand could not be reached on a Mac that has Xcode.This replaces the local path:
expo-device-hub@0.14.0, which serves iOS simulators and Android emulators together.@expo/hub-client, MIT). Only the device screen is Expo's component.The cloud (Limrun) path is unchanged.
How it works
