Chat - The unread message marker reappears when user come back online

Issue found when executing PR #14032

Action Performed:

1. Create a conversation between two users. Send several messages from user 1 to user 2
2. Kill the internet connection
3. As user 1 (the one who created the messages) mark one of your own messages unread (not the last one).
4. You should see a "new" marker above the message marked as unread.
5. Delete the message marked as unread.
6. The "new" marker should remain in the same location, above the next newer message.
7. Switch away from the chat. It should remain bolded as "unread" in the LHN. Note that you need to switch to an entirely different chat in the compact/mobile view, not simply switch the the list of chats.
8. Switch back to the chat. It should no longer show as "unread" in the LHN, but the "new" marker should remain in the same location.
9. Switch away from the chat again.
10. Switch back to the chat again, the "new" marker should be gone.
11. Turn on the internet

Expected Result:

The deleted message disappears and the unread message marker does not appear

Actual Result:

The unread message marker reappears
