Linux: pin upstream v7.3-rc4, build it with amdxdna in-tree, keep it current - #17

…-tree, keep it current third_party/linux = v7.3-rc4 (93f51579). config/kernel/strixhalo.config is the config of the kernel Strix Halo ran on 2026-09-23 (7.2.0-next-20260821-ogc), which had amdxdna switched off; strixhalo.fragment turns on DRM_ACCEL_AMDXDNA=m (plus DRM_ACCEL, amdgpu, HSA, LOCALVERSION -1bit). scripts/build-kernel.sh builds Debian packages with LLVM, out of tree, and refuses if olddefconfig dropped amdxdna. bump-linux.yml follows the newest upstream tag daily. Installing is deliberate and separate (docs/kernel.md). Verified: built on a 256-core box from the git.kernel.org v7.3-rc4 tarball (embedded commit id checked = 93f51579); linux-image-7.3.0-rc4-1bit contains vmlinuz, amdxdna.ko.xz and amdgpu.ko.xz. Pins the kernel that provides the engine's NPU (
amdxdna) and GPU (amdgpu) drivers, the same way HRX, XDNA and ZINC are pinned.third_party/linux= upstreamtorvalds/linuxv7.3-rc4 (93f51579), as a gitlink. It's fetched at depth 1 only when you build.config/kernel/strixhalo.configis Strix Halo's current kernel config, copied verbatim (7.2.0-next-20260821-unstable-ogc). That config had amdxdna switched off: the system loaded a separately builtamdxdna.ko.strixhalo.fragmentbuilds it in-tree (DRM_ACCEL_AMDXDNA=m) and setsLOCALVERSION=-1bit.scripts/build-kernel.sh <out>builds with LLVM (clang + lld), out of tree, and writesbindeb-pkgpackages.
