Route /ui/v2/login given in docs is not served by recent core version

As an administrator of a self-hosted instance I wanted to try the new v2 login feature as described here:
https://zitadel.com/docs/guides/integrate/login/hosted-login#hosted-login-version-2-beta

Checking the "Use new login UI" box in a project without providing an external domain results in a redirect to the Zitadel domain at /ui/v2/login (as given in the docs) but this page can not be found (JSON response with code: 5)
