The Zebrafish Toxicology Phenotype Atlas Project, known as ZAPP or Zebrafish Atlas Phenotype Project, is a community-driven initiative whose mission is to develop and promote the adoption of standards for describing zebrafish phenotypes, including but not limited to those resulting from toxicological exposures.
As part of this effort, ZAPP is creating a Phenotype Atlas of annotated images and building tools that support standardized annotation in the zebrafish laboratory setting so that the data is understandable, reproducible, reusable, and AI-ready. ZAPP engages stakeholders, including zebrafish researchers and the toxicology community, to help shape these standards and ensure their relevance and long-term sustainability.
