[BUG] Version1.3.2 doesn't find any match

Hi, wanted to use your extension recently, was working fine in the past, but no more.

Trying to close all "x.com" tabs, find none despite hundreds open, not even using "x.com" and regex.

That seems like a fairly fundamental bug. Yet I can't reproduce.

Could you send a screenshot?

Additionally I'm fairly boringly english-speaking - is it possibly your keyboard is entering some kind of unicode character (my URL matching is very very basic). For example check smaller sub-sets - does "com" match some x.com pages?

If you can get me info to help reproduce it I'm sure I can get it resolved.

Hence I'm using the "Title" tab instead, with hints from the title : ' / X$" with regex switched on to be sure I only catch the end of the title.

Is it trying to match "x.com " (ie with a bunch of spaces at the end) - because that won't match. What happens if you trim them off?

Yes, it is the mouse cursor, not the text cursor.

I tried the suggestion as well as direct input : 'x.com' (without any space)

Sorry - in your animation - for URL ensure you set "Look through all windows" and/or "Don't close current tab".

I could see things looked correct for Title, but couldn't see it when doing URL searching (because you only have one tab and its current, and you weren't looking through the window).

That animation really helped - if the reproduction for URL is complete as above I'm hoping I can understand.

Here's what I saw - just on URL

1. x.com could match, but it was the only tab in this window
2. clearing "Don't close current tab" shows the x.com match
3. setting "Don't close current tab" hides the x.com match
4. setting "Look through all windows" matched other sites in other windows (proxmox.com)
5. clearing "Don't close current tab" shows the x.com match as well as proxmox.com from other windows

Thanks - I can see you've done exactly what I asked and I see the reproductions.

I will try to find a way to add some diagnostics to tell what is going on.

I'm wondering if its related to case-sensitivity - intersecting with "case" in non-english locales.

And there's an additional error switching back from Title to URL tab, where the URL still matches / X.

I've added some debug capability to the latest version - you need to enable/disable it in preferences.

You'll see a debug panel in the main UI

When you search you'll see debug info gush into that panel

Please select-all and copy the results into here.

Beware it will have your tabs - please feel free to clean up or remove any urls in case there are privacy concerns.

I ran into a similar issue (no tabs were matched for any text). It was fixed simply by restarting firefox.

I'm really interested in whether its me or firefox.
