Poem

A template so shiny, now added with care, 🐰
In React's fine garden, it grows in the air,
One line of pure magic, a link bright and new,
The community blooms with examples so true! 🌱

🚥 Pre-merge checks | ✅ 4 | ❌ 1

❌ Failed checks (1 inconclusive)

Check name Status Explanation Resolution
Title check ❓ Inconclusive The title is vague and generic, using non-descriptive phrasing ('requesting to add this new template') that doesn't clearly convey what template or why it matters. Revise the title to be more specific and descriptive, e.g., 'Add React + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS + React Router community template' to clearly indicate the new template being added.

48-48: Standardize framework names/casing in the description.

Please align wording with existing docs style: use TypeScript and TailwindCSS (instead of Typescript / TailwindCss), and consider React Router (Framework mode) for clarity.

🤖 PR Triage Review

❓ Comment and Wait

This PR requests to add a new React template. I need more information:

  1. What makes this template different from existing React templates?
  2. Is this meant to replace an existing template or add a new option?
  3. What's the target audience/use case for this template?

Please provide more context so I can properly evaluate this PR.

Thanks for contributing! This PR adds a reference to a React template in the community templates documentation.

A few questions to help me review this:

  1. The template you're referencing - is it in an external repository? If so, could you provide the repository URL?
  2. Have you tested that this template works with the current Wails version?
  3. The title says "I am requesting to add this new template for react" but only a documentation file is changed. Is the template code already available elsewhere, or should this PR include the actual template code as well?

Once you clarify these points, I can proceed with the review.

Thanks for contributing this template! A few questions before we can proceed:

  1. Is the template code available in this repository, or is it in an external repo? If external, can you provide the link?
  2. Have you tested this on macOS and Linux? The PR description shows only Windows testing.
  3. Is this template actively maintained? Community templates should be maintained to stay in sync with Wails releases.
  4. Should we add this to the official template list, or keep it as a community-only reference?

Please provide more details and cross-platform testing results.

This PR is behind the master branch. Please rebase your branch on the latest master.

Also, please provide:

  1. A link to the template repository (you mentioned "github repo" in the description but didn't include the link)
  2. Testing results on macOS and Linux (you only tested on Windows)

To rebase:

git fetch upstream master
git rebase upstream/master
git push --force-with-lease

Thanks for contributing! Community templates are great, but I have a few questions:

  1. This template is for Wails v2. Are you also planning a v3 version?
  2. You mentioned testing on Windows only. Have you tested on macOS or Linux?
  3. Could you provide a link to the template repository so we can review the template itself?
  4. Does this template follow the Wails project's conventions and best practices?

Please update your testing checklist to include all supported platforms and provide more information about the template itself.

Thanks for wanting to contribute a community template! Before I can proceed with reviewing this, I need some additional information:

  1. Template Repository: Where is the template hosted? Please provide a link to the external repository so reviewers can examine the template code and structure.

  2. Testing: You've indicated testing only on Windows. Could you test this template on macOS and Linux as well to ensure it works across all platforms?

  3. PR Title: Could you update the PR title to be more descriptive? For example: "docs: add React+TypeScript+Tailwind+ReactRouter community template"

  4. Description: Please provide more details about the template:

    • What makes this template unique or useful?
    • What are the key features?
    • Are there any known limitations or requirements?
  5. Follow Conventions: Please review other community template PRs to ensure you're following the project's conventions for template submissions.

Thanks! Just one small fix needed: please capitalise TailwindCss as TailwindCSS in the template entry text, to match the style of other entries in the list. Happy to merge once that's corrected.
