   Those are indeed nice, but not sure it would make sense as part of Bootstrap core, since it does not currently have any spinner component, and spinners are generally only useful when you're doing dynamic changes to your pages / components, which we don't really do in core (unless I missed a specific place where they would fit naturally?)

   A lot of these animations are animating properties which cause layout repainting and the layers they belong to are uploaded to the GPU. On mobile devices this is particularly expensive because CPUs are significantly less powerful than their desktop counterparts, meaning that the painting work takes longer; and the bandwidth between the CPU and GPU is limited. You can easily see this by turning on Paint flashing in Chrome > devtools > Rendering tab:

   

   I do think these animations can be rewritten to a version which doesn't trigger repainting (not with a single element though).
