I have put together a working tkl image and am delighted to share it with everyone.

It is comprised of:

• mysql
• apache
• php
• phorge

Requests have been made in the past

Unfortunately I'm pretty tied up working on the TurnKey v19.0 release ATM (having some dramas... 😢 ) so I'm not sure when I might get to doing a proper code review and building it.

Regardless, I just had a quick look over your code and on face value it looks fantastic! So great work on that!

The only comments I have are regarding the changelog and the readme:

Changelog: It only needs one entry - something like "initial appliance release base on LAMP appliance" - or similar. The appliance name is generated from the first line of the changelog and when we publish an appliance the changelog is also included inside the appliance. We use Debian tools to parse the changelog, so it must conform to the Debian changelog format. FWIW we use the debian dch tool (from the debian devscripts package) internally, but for a single changelog setting that up is probably overkill so just have a look at any of the other appliance changelogs for the format. Seeing as the first release will be v19.0 use that as the version.

Readme: It looks like you based off the Observium appliance which it fine, but you forgot to update the heading line! 😁

Also if you have any suggestions or other feedback re developing your appliance it would be good to hear. Particularly any pain points you had or ideas to reduce friction when developing. If you have specific feature requests or suggestions, please feel free to open a new issue (or issues).

Scattered and outdated documentation is the biggest problem. And there seems to be a forum that is abandoned?

It is also not super obvious what to do to get started once the tkldev appliance is running. There is a lot of great niceties in it, which are help once you get going, but there is a bit of a gap trying to get going.

As you observed, I reverse engineered a lot of stuff from other mysql+php images. Some of which i have clearly failed to completely clear out
