Why: Genuine gap — Calibre-Web does ebooks only, Plex/Jellyfin handle audiobooks clumsily, and music apps (Navidrome/Koel) don't understand chapters. Audiobookshelf merges multi-file books into one entity, builds chapter lists, syncs per-user playback position, and has native iOS/Android apps (offline, sleep timer, speed).
Stack: Node.js + SQLite, single container, ARM-friendly.
