ToolHive v0.54.0 added UpdateDCRCredentialsIfUnchanged to DCRCredentialStore, so the sealing decorator stopped compiling. Seals use a fresh nonce, so the caller's plaintext expected value cannot be sealed and compared byte for byte. Read the stored sealed row, open it, and compare plaintext (times at Redis's one-second precision). Then pass the exact sealed row just read to the inner store as expected, so the inner atomic check refuses the write if anyone changed the row in between. An undecodable row returns its own error, never ErrDCRCredentialsChanged. The caller's value is returned after the write, as the native stores do, so a failed unseal cannot hide a write that already landed. Invalid input returns ErrUnavailable like the rest of this decorator. Co-Authored-By: mecatl <noreply@mecatl.dev>
