Siblings of #4695: det facade wide-COMMAREA DTO answer (forge facades, XCTL without COMMAREA) #5291

Closed

Description

@squid-protocol

Siblings of #4695 (PR #5290): det facade answers a wide RETURN COMMAREA as the program's DTO. PR #5290 converted the det generator's object/typed facades (CardDemo COCRDLIC, COCRDSLC, COCRDUPC, COACTVWC, COACTUPC, COTRTLIC, COTRTUPC). Same-mechanism members it left open:

  • Forge-generated facades (cobol_to_java_transaction_forge.py) still answer a byte[]; CicsTask has no page charset to decode through the DTO layout. Concerns the model-written CardDemo ports; no det-port burned program needs it today.
  • XCTL with no COMMAREA to a target whose RETURN is wide: Cics.passes_bytes is per program, so the caller's facade keeps the byte[]. No burned program is known to need it.
  • (Typed facades whose DTO has no layout, CBSA BNK1CCS/BNK1TFN/BNK1UAC, are tracked by equivalence: cases for the 16 CICS programs that have none (6 estates) #5076.)

Scope: sweep (burned CardDemo estate touches the class, no program needs it to climb a rung). Siblings: #4695, #5076.

    Both members resolved: XCTL-without-COMMAREA landed in #5349; forge facades shown not to need it (DTO kept in returnedArea); typed no-layout facades tracked by #5076.
