gogits/git backend for git

I'm going to try and implement the go-vcs interface using https://github.com/gogits/git.

Anything I should know ahead of time? Any requests?

Preferences for where it should live? Ideally I imagine the current go-vcs/vcs/git living in go-vcs/vcs/git/libgit2, then this could be go-vcs/vcs/git/gogits or maybe .../purego or something.

go-vcs/vcs/git/gogits makes sense to me, unless it's extremely experimental, then it could live in a separate repo, at least initially. No strong preferences from me.

If it is a part of this repo, be aware of https://github.com/sourcegraph/go-vcs#implementation-differences and please update it accordingly. :)

Another thing I should point out. While hg and hgcmd seem like completely separate implementations, in reality, hg implements only a few methods natively, and reuses hgcmd for the rest. It's an approach you could also consider. The alternative is a bunch of panic("not yet implemented") or so.

Yea, I'll definitely be keeping it in my fork until it's ready for merging. :) Though I might start a WIP pull request for code review etc.
