The issue likely is a coliding network traffic pushed to to the Ultimate. The server needs to be better at funneling all requests and not overloading the Ultimate.

Another semafor was introduced to prevent fast key repetitions. Does this issue still demonstrate?

Please note that there were numerous issues in the REST API (as well as the Telnet and FTP listener) of the Ultimate 64 3.14 firmware. This also affects the C64U 1.1.0 firmware. I was able to fully and permanently degrade the device repeatedly. This ranged from the network listeners crashing to full firmware app crashes.

All of these issues have since been fixed in the latest 3.15 firmware. Thus, workarounds such as backoffs etc. are no longer needed. Additionally, with machine:input, you can now easily inject up to around 20 keys a second, or even faster. The only limit now is how quickly the C64 program checks CIA1 for key presses.
