[CI] Unit job in CI test failing

This is the failed action run triggered by the PR

But the same Action run on the same PR ran successfully 10 days ago here

main reason behind this is exec: "etcd": executable file not found in $PATH

Thanks for opening the issue.

This issue looks suspicious. It would be great if we could investigate it further. For example, in the logs you shared, I also saw at the top:

unable to list versions to find latest one: unable to list bucket items -- got status "401 Unauthorized" from GCS

I’m thinking this might be the root cause. However, I wonder if it was just an infrastructure issue affecting that particular execution. Two things come to mind for now:

1. Rerun the failed job.
2. Run the command that failed locally: make test.

I’m not sure if I have permission to rerun the failed job, but I’ll give it a try.

just checked make test is also failing with an error

It seems this is a persistent issue in the repo.

Hey @IrvingMg i have made a fix

I bumped the controller-gen/envtest from v0.15.0 to v0.18.0
which solved this issue,

make: *** [Makefile:208: controller-gen] Error 1

added a flag --use-deprecated-gcs=false tells the discovery of the binaries to not use the legacy API's

Also bumped the setup-envtest from release-0.18 to release-0.22 that's the latest

after making these changes make test finally worked without any errors.
