Support for Linux native text editors

I'd love to see support for Kate, gEdit, etc. added, as not everyone uses Atom or VS Code.

Proposed solution

Adding support shouldn't be that difficult, and it would improve the experience on Linux.

I'm working on this myself, and once I've thoroughly tested it I'll submit a pull request.
