Question

What material conflicts or availability constraints affect using Crucible as the product, repository, package, executable, and likely web identity, based on authoritative registries and first-party sources, and which findings require a later naming decision?

Resolved by the research note: Crucible naming conflicts and availability.

Concise answer: Do not treat Crucible as clear or broadly available. Atlassian has a live exact U.S. software registration and still lists Crucible as an active trademark; an established Claude/Codex workflow already uses the exact name in a directly adjacent category; multiple current packages and an AI-agent sandbox install the exact crucible executable; and the primary exact domains plus common modifiers are registered. This is research, not legal advice or clearance.

Downstream constraints: If the name remains a candidate, professional clearance in launch jurisdictions is a hard gate; use a distinct executable; verify control of the @devflow-hq npm scope and owner-qualified GitHub repository availability at decision time; and plan on an independently distinctive web identity. Otherwise, remove exact Crucible from the shortlist.
