My macOS development environment — shell, window manager, and tools config. This is a living repo that reflects what I actually use day-to-day; it updates as my workflow evolves.
Feel free to fork it, gut what you don't need, and make it yours.
This repo mirrors your home directory structure. Each file in ~/.dotfiles/ maps to the same path under ~:
~/.dotfiles/.zshrc → ~/.zshrc
~/.dotfiles/.config/aerospace/aerospace.toml → ~/.config/aerospace/aerospace.toml
GNU Stow creates these symlinks automatically — so edits in the repo are immediately live, and git diff shows exactly what changed.
The bootstrap script (bootstrap.sh) handles the full setup:
- Installs Homebrew and Bun if missing
- Presents an interactive tool selector (toggle on/off with keyboard)
- Installs selected tools with progress spinners
- Detects conflicting files and lets you backup, overwrite, or skip each one
- Runs
stowto deploy all symlinks - Creates local config templates (
~/.zshrc.local,~/.secrets)

Then deploys dotfiles via stow and copies template files for local config. Existing conflicting files can be backed up, overwritten, or skipped per-file.

Sources ~/.zshrc.local and ~/.secrets if they exist.
Sets up Homebrew shell environment (/opt/homebrew/bin/brew shellenv) and adds Python 2.7 to PATH.
Auto-generated prompt configuration. Run p10k configure to customize interactively.
