Modal closed when selecting text and button released outside modal

**Steps to reproduce:**

1. Open modal
2. Select text by highlighting it entirely from right to left. While doing this, move the mouse outside the modal window

*Current behavior:* When I release the mouse button over the backdrop, the modal window closes.
*Expected behavior:* The modal window stays open

Happens in Chrome and Safari
It is OK in Firefox
