@ned-deily The issue was tagged with type-security. Do you want to backports this all the way up to 3.9, only to 3.12+, or keep it for main only?

Thanks, I expect to do backports for 3.13 and 3.12 a bit later once this has been exposed in the next 3.14 alpha. So just leave the issue open for now and I will close later along with some other open issues.
