What happened
CodeRabbit flagged this on PR #1000 (a spec/divergences.json reason-text fix, unrelated to
this file) as an internal inconsistency: reports/workflow-reuse.md's validate-task.yml
carrier list (13 repos: AudioCleaner, Blog, ESPHome-NonRoot, Financial-Modeling,
HomeAssistant-Config, HomeAutomation-Config, LanguageTags, MediaTools, NxWitness, PlexCleaner,
Utilities, VSCode-Server-DotNetCore, aiopurpleair) no longer matches
reports/divergences.md's live-generated carrier list for the same file (9 repos:
AudioCleaner, ESPHome-NonRoot, LanguageTags, MediaTools, NxWitness, PlexCleaner, Utilities,
VSCode-Server-DotNetCore, aiopurpleair).
Declined on PR #1000 as out of scope there: that PR doesn't touch workflow-reuse.md, and the
two reports are independently generated by two different scripts (spec/workflow_reuse.py and
spec/fidelity_honesty.py) on independent cadences, each self-dated in its own header
("Generated by ... - do not hand-edit ... Git dates this file"). workflow-reuse.md was last
generated 2026-08-16 (commit 3dc4e5), nine days before this finding, so the drift predates
PR #1000 entirely.
Suggested fix
Either regenerate reports/workflow-reuse.md (python3 spec/workflow_reuse.py --report) to
refresh its carrier lists against current fleet state, or, if the two reports are meant to be
snapshotted independently rather than kept in lockstep, note that explicitly in one of their
headers so a future reviewer doesn't read the drift as a bug. Confirm which is actually intended
before picking a fix, since regenerating workflow-reuse.md pulls in current data across every
cataloged repo's workflows, not just this one entry.
