Install in one line

Installs or updates the widget and the CodexBar CLI for the current user, checksums verified, no root. Then Add Widgets… → CodexBar.

Highlights

• One-step installation. New scripts/install.sh for the widget plus CLI, and a bundled CLI installer inside the widget: the setup card offers Install CodexBar CLI when the CLI is missing or too old, the About page offers Update CodexBar CLI to the latest release. The installer picks the official build for your CPU, verifies the SHA-256 sidecar, keeps executable, VERSION and plugin bundle together under ~/.local/share/codexbar-cli/<version>/, and falls back to the static musl build on systems with an older glibc.
• Synced with CodexBar 0.60. 13 new providers (ClinePass, Qwen Cloud, Fireworks, DeepInfra, Neuralwatt, LongCat, sub2api, ZenMux, ai&, ZoomMate, xAI, Notion AI, IBM Bob); Kimi K2 and CrossModel removed like upstream. Names, colors, dashboard and status links refreshed from the current provider descriptors.
• More of the CLI payload in the card. The generic usage.details rows (balances, monthly spend, credit pools, …), the cost/quota budget for providers without a session window, and Codex credits only when the CLI actually read a balance. Pace is shown for weekly extra windows such as Codex Spark Weekly (thanks @TchelloSimis, #17).
• Per-provider data source and CLI environment (#16). Pick Auto, Web, CLI, OAuth or API per provider on the Providers page, and point the General page at a KEY=VALUE file whose variables are exported only into the codexbar process, so API keys stay out of Plasma's configuration.
• Providers that need a newer CLI say so instead of failing silently.

Requirements

KDE Plasma 6 and CodexBar CLI 0.43.0 or newer (latest recommended; the widget installs it for you).

Manual install

Download com.github.psimaker.codexbar-0.4.0.plasmoid below, verify it with the .sha256 file, then Add Widgets… → Get New Widgets → Install Widget From Local File… or kpackagetool6 -t Plasma/Applet -i <file> (-u to update).

• Ensure CodexBar and Claude adapter commands can locate standard system binaries when
  Plasma provides a restricted PATH.

CodexBar for KDE Plasma 0.3.0

Highlights

• Add optional Claude multi-account support through a schema-v1 adapter, including per-account usage, freshness, last-known fallback data, spend, pace, and explicit serialized account switching.
• Render themeable provider artwork through Plasma KSvg color contexts so monochrome paths follow light, dark, selected, and catalog-chip states while fixed brand accents remain intact.
• Size provider tabs from their complete labels and add visible, bounded overflow navigation with wheel, touchpad, drag, and automatic selected-tab reveal.

Reliability

• Preserve the v0.2.2 cost-scan safeguards: hourly automatic cooldowns, serialized scans, last-good cost data, manual immediate refresh, and cost display disabled by default for new installations.
• Keep Claude adapter commands credential-free, timeout-bounded, output-capped, and serialized.

Validation

• QML lint, XML and JSON validation, Plasma package hashing, whitespace checks, icon silhouette comparisons, parser and adapter integration checks, and isolated Plasma runtime loads all pass.

Upgrade note

The Claude account view remains optional. Existing provider, panel-display, refresh, and cost preferences are preserved.

CodexBar for KDE Plasma 0.2.2

Fixed

• Decouple local-history cost scans from the quota refresh cadence.
• Serialize cost scans and enforce a one-hour cooldown per provider.
• Prevent failed scans from discarding the last successful cost snapshot.

Changed

• Disable the optional cost section by default for new installations.
• Add a separate manual Refresh cost history action for Codex and Claude.
• Keep normal Refresh actions limited to lightweight quota and status probes.

Upgrade note

Existing installations that explicitly enabled the cost section keep that preference. Automatic cost scans now wait one hour after startup and never overlap.

CodexBar for KDE Plasma 0.2.1

Fixed

• Stop automatic refreshes from repeatedly invoking the CodexBar CLI after it exits with SIGSEGV.
• Allow a manual refresh to retry after the CLI has been upgraded.
• Document the Linux installation layout that keeps CodexBarCLI and VERSION together.

Requirement

CodexBar CLI 0.43.0 or newer is required. If you still use 0.42.1, update the CLI and then trigger one manual refresh.
