To setup submodules run

  git submodule init
  git submodule update

The vim folder should be symbolically linked to ~/.vim, the SOMETHINGrc files to ~/.SOMETHINGrc, .git_template to ~/.git_template, and tmux.conf to ~/.tmux.conf.
