currently, if a release is not an LTS release with a codename, the version name is used. This does (unfortunately) provide a way to detect if something is an LTS release, but outside of that, the version number is not technically the codename of releases without a codename and thus this module is surfacing incorrect/misleading information.
IMO codename should only have content when there is actually an assigned codename.
