fix(shared): keep HTML chart colors readable across themes - #27346
With the custom theme in #26872, HTML diagrams paint --accent and --chart-1 as #21180e on a #161515 canvas: a contrast ratio of 1.043:1. The SVG geometry is intact, but the line and markers are almost invisible.
Resolve graphic colors against the canvas in the shared htmlRenderTheme mapping, targeting the 3:1 non-text contrast minimum. Already-readable values remain unchanged. Otherwise, adjust OKLCH lightness, map into sRGB, and measure the final encoded color so rounding cannot put it below the threshold.
--accent and --chart-1 share the resolved color. When accent changes, recheck --accent-foreground at 4.5:1 so improving the graphics does not make paired text unreadable. The remaining chart colors use the same canvas constraint.
Declare Culori and its types for the shared package, reusing the versions already locked for web. No dependency versions are upgraded.
Scope and approval
This is a focused correction to an existing rendering defect, with the issue's minimal SVG and color values as the reproduction. It fits the obvious-bug exception in CONTRIBUTING.md. The shared mapping covers web, desktop, mobile theme-variable generation, and server HTML bootstrap. Stored themes, authored HTML, schemas, and tool instructions keep their existing contracts.
Unknown colors and translucent canvases pass through because the actual underlying surface is unavailable. Author-defined backgrounds and color overrides remain outside this canvas-relative guarantee.
Verification
Base: 8970a321; macOS arm64, Node 26.12.1, Vite+ 1.4.0, isolated development state, free Replay provider. A local visual fixture uses the issue's original SVG through the production attachment route and HTML iframe.

Reported colors
Graphic contrast improves from 1.043:1 to 3.019:1; paired white text remains 6.037:1

18 built-in/custom cases pass the graphic and paired-text targets, including theme switches and reload
Mobile adapter outputs painted in Chromium
48 configurations pass; this is not native-client verification
Independent WCAG calculation
8,704 local color/threshold combinations pass contrast, readable-value preservation, and idempotence checks
Actual painted pixels
Same viewport and SVG geometry; after ICC-to-sRGB conversion, the same 532 graphic interior pixels change to the expected ink color

The local ablations show why the changes belong together: changing only chart-1 leaves the accent marker at 1.043:1; changing only accent leaves the curve at 1.043:1. On a midgray canvas, changing accent without rechecking its foreground reduces paired text to 1.527:1; the complete mapping restores it to 4.516:1.
vp run check:changed: format, lint, both knip passes, dependency-patch validation, typecheck of 36 packages, and 14 tests in two files passed. The existing htmlRender.test.ts now covers the reported dark-accent fixture and a midgray fixture that exercises paired foreground correction. Both cases fail against the original mapping; removing only foreground correction fails the midgray text assertion.
vp run --filter t3 build:bundle: passed. The built server starts in a separate data directory and its environment endpoint returns HTTP 200. The dev attachment endpoint also returns 200 with the expected HTML.
Commit hooks and git show --check pass. Captures provide the visual evidence, and the two numeric mapping cases protect the changed-accent behavior. Reproduction harnesses and debug materials remain local.
Dependency resolution reports 12 deprecated transitive packages and three mobile peer constraints. Their versions are unchanged.
Not run: native Electron/iOS/Android clients, the full repository test suites, or a production frontend build. The original report did not include its complete theme or full diagram HTML.

The shared HTML renderer now adjusts accent and chart colors to meet contrast targets against the render canvas. A new helper checks contrast and adjusts colors when needed.
Uses computed colors for the accent, accent foreground, and chart variables in htmlRenderTheme. Tests check contrast ratios across three canvas and accent combinations, plus color passthrough cases.

Explanation
Issue #26872 requires accent-based lines and markers to remain visible against the HTML render canvas. htmlRenderTheme now resolves --accent, --chart-1, and the remaining chart colors to a 3:1 canvas contrast target. It preserves readable values and passes through unsupported or translucent inputs. It rechecks --accent-foreground at 4.5:1 when the accent changes. htmlRender.test.ts covers dark, midgray, light, readable-value, translucent, and unknown-value cases.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes remain within issue #26872. The color helper, shared theme integration, regression tests, and Culori dependencies support the rendering fix. The shared mapping covers the affected HTML theme-variable generation paths. No unrelated product behavior or contract change is identified in the supplied whole-PR summary.

A light canvas with a pale accent is reachable through web, mobile, and server HTML rendering. The current table only exercises dark appearance, so a regression in the light-background adjustment can pass.

The failing Check on current HEAD 6598517d comes from cancelled dependencies. The run's annotation says: Canceling since a higher priority waiting request for ci-27346 exists.
The current-head CI attempt started at 04:15:48 UTC. The previous head ceddda4f was then rerun at 04:16:27 UTC in the same PR concurrency group, superseding the current-head run. That older-head run passed, but it does not validate the latest regression-test commit. The current-head native fingerprint check has the same concurrency cancellation annotation for mobile-fingerprint-check-27346.
Could a maintainer re-run all jobs for these current-head runs?
I attempted the CI rerun as the PR author, but GitHub rejected it with Must have admin rights to Repository. No source or workflow changes are needed to address this cancellation; the latest head still needs its complete CI result.
updated the original branch, preserving both contributor commits and the focused color-mapping implementation. merged current main without rebasing, including its later six-byte agent-context reduction so the budget check stays green. added cases in the existing test file for a pale accent on a light canvas and preservation of readable, unknown, and translucent inputs. no production changes were needed after review.

main's mapping fails all three changed-accent fixtures, including the reported 1.043:1 contrast.

real web client: free replay provider through the adapter and production attachment iframe, matching chart and viewport. graphic contrast improves from 1.043:1 to 3.019:1; paired text remains 6.037:1. both captures were inspected.

real-client midgray, light appearance, and 390px checks pass all six chart contrasts and paired text. known low limit: the unit-test light-canvas row uses the dark chart palette; light appearance is covered by the real-client check.

main reproduced the invisible curve and markers: #21180e against #161515, 1.043:1 contrast. the pr paints them as #6c6155, 3.019:1, with paired white text at 6.037:1. the before image and fresh pr turn use identical authored html and matching 728×365 iframe captures.
checked the existing attachment and the fresh provider-generated attachment. switched between custom dark and default light through settings, then reloaded. both attachments updated and the selected dark theme persisted. default light preserves the blue accent; all six chart colors meet 3:1 and paired text reaches 6.714:1. a midgray custom theme also passes all six chart colors and corrects paired text to 4.516:1. ratios were independently calculated from the running iframe's computed css colors; screenshots show the actual render.

Exercise both appearance branches in the contrast test.
The test always passes "dark", so it only checks FIXED_COLORS.dark.chart. A light-branch regression could return a fixed chart color below 3:1 without failing this test. Run the same assertions for both appearances.
