feat(server): Antigravity can report a custom ACP client name and keeps ACP 1.4.3 model choices - #25544
Stacked on #25542 (ACP 1.4.3 runtime bump). Review only the commits above #25542 (9e57f4f, 99e96e4, 6556f3e); this PR targets main because the base branch lives in a fork.
Problem
Google's Antigravity ACP agent offers Claude and GPT-OSS models only to clients whose clientInfo.name is on a hardcoded allowlist. In the 1.4.3 binary, supports_third_party_models() still checks that name, and every other client gets a Gemini-only list. T3 Code reports t3-code, so users with Claude access can't select it, and the rejection says their Google account is the cause.
ACP 1.4 also changed how models are listed. The model config option now offers families (gemini-3.8-flash) plus a separate thinking_level option. The concrete IDs (gemini-3.8-flash-low) appear only in the session's models state. On 1.4.3, T3 would show only families, and saved concrete choices (manifest defaults, resumed threads, helper generation) would fail validation.
Change
ACP client name setting for Antigravity instances. When set, every Antigravity ACP process (sessions, sign-in and model refresh, text generation) reports that name in initialize. Leaving it empty keeps today's names. It appears in web and desktop provider settings through the schema-driven form.
1.4 model catalog. When the model option offers values missing from models.availableModels, the catalog is built from the concrete session models. That list is kept through config_option_update notifications, which omit models.
1.4 model selection. Saved models are checked against the concrete IDs and selected with session/set_model. The runtime's local set_config_option check only knows family values. 1.4.3 runs both paths through the same availability check. The ACP 1.3 path is unchanged.
The rejection message now says the model is unavailable for the account or ACP client name. User docs explain the setting.
This overlaps #20979, which also handles ACP 1.4 concrete models. This version detects grouping by comparing the two lists rather than by the presence of thinking_level. The real 1.4.3 list includes a plain gpt-oss-120b-medium entry, and a session on it has no thinking-level option.
Scope and approval
No triaged issue or maintainer approval is linked. Both parts stay within the existing Antigravity provider:
ACP 1.4.3 model handling is a compatibility fix for the runtime update in chore(server): update Antigravity ACP to 1.4.3 #25542. Without it, that update breaks model listing and saved model selection for every Antigravity user. ACP 1.3 sessions keep their current path.
ACP client name configures an existing capability. The Antigravity driver already sends clientInfo.name in initialize, and the setting only replaces that string. The agent uses the name to decide which models it offers and in its User-Agent. Leaving the setting empty keeps today's behavior, and it affects no other provider or flow.
Verification
Three new tests, each failing before the fix: the client name reaches initialize (driver), a grouped 1.4.3 setup lists concrete models through config updates (provider), and concrete selection and rejection work on a grouped setup (ACP support). The fixture is trimmed from a real 1.4.3 session/new.
vp run check:changed: format, lint, knip, and typecheck pass. The only failing test is AntigravityAdapterV2 client file system > confines agent file requests…, which fails on main on macOS (/var vs /private/var temp paths) and is unrelated.
Ran T3's makeAntigravityAcpRuntime, buildAntigravityModelsFromSession, and applyAntigravityAcpModelSelection against the official 1.4.3 darwin-arm64 binary with a copied, signed-in personal profile:
clientInfo.name = t3-code
catalog: gemini-4-argon-{medium,high,low}, gemini-3.8-flash-{high,medium,low}
default: gemini-3.8-flash-high
gemini-3.8-flash-low -> selected
claude-sonnet-5-5-low -> rejected (unavailable for this Google account or ACP client name)
clientInfo.name = <allowlisted name>
catalog: the six Gemini models + claude-opus-5-5-{low,medium,high},
claude-sonnet-5-5-{low,medium,high}, gpt-oss-120b-medium
default: gemini-3.8-flash-high
claude-sonnet-5-5-low -> selected
gemini-3.8-flash-low -> selected

Walkthrough
Antigravity settings now support a configurable ACP client name. Model selection and provider catalogs use concrete models returned in ACP session setup. The Antigravity release metadata is updated to version 1.4.3.
The settings form adds an ACP client name. The driver sends a configured non-empty value in its initialize request. Search terms and provider guidance include the setting.
Select models from ACP session state apps/server/src/provider/antigravityRelease.ts, apps/server/src/provider/acp/antigravity143.fixture.ts, apps/server/src/provider/acp/AntigravityAcpSupport.ts, apps/server/src/provider/acp/AntigravityAcpSupport.test.ts, apps/server/src/orchestration-v2/Adapters/AntigravityAdapterV2.ts, apps/server/src/textGeneration/AntigravityTextGeneration.ts, apps/server/src/textGeneration/AntigravityTextGeneration.test.ts
Release assets now point to version 1.4.3. Grouped model selections use concrete ACP session models and setSessionModel; ungrouped selections use config options and setModel. Tests cover both paths.
Build provider catalogs from session models apps/server/src/provider/AntigravityProvider.ts, apps/server/src/provider/AntigravityProvider.test.ts
The provider stores grouped model state from session start and uses it to build the catalog when config updates omit models. It updates the current grouped model after a valid selection. Tests cover grouped and ungrouped catalog updates.

Explanation
The description follows the template. It has Problem, Change, Scope and approval, and Verification sections, plus the stacking note and the conventional-commit-style title reference. The Problem and Change sections are specific. The Scope and approval section states that no triaged issue or maintainer approval is linked. It then explains why the change stays within the existing Antigravity provider, as the template asks. Verification lists the new tests, the check results with the one unrelated failing test, and a manual run against the 1.4.3 binary. It also lists what was not verified. The template's agent-attribution line is present at the end.

Adds a visible ACP client name field to Antigravity provider settings through the annotated settings schema, and changes catalog choices. Despite runtime protocol checks, the complete PR body/conversation has no before/after screenshots of the new provider-settings field. This finding concerns that visible setting, not the backend compatibility repair.
submission evidence: "It appears in web and desktop provider settings through the schema-driven form."
Attach clear before/after screenshots showing the new Antigravity ACP client name field in provider settings.
