Selecting a thread reset the stack through whichever navigator had focus. With Settings open that was the Settings stack, which has no Home or Thread routes, so the reset was dropped. Target the root stack instead. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
ApprovabilityVerdict: Approved at Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — This is a focused Android navigation bug fix that redirects an existing reset action to the root stack when Settings has focus, with a regression test covering that scenario. The change is isolated and does not introduce new capabilities, schema changes, deployment changes, or static-analysis overrides. Notes:

android-workspace-navigation.test.tscallsandroidWorkspaceNavigationStatedirectly through its localStackRouter. It does not invokeuseAndroidWorkspaceSelection, so it does not verifyroot.getRootState(),root.dispatch(...), ortarget: state.key.A regression that dispatches through the focused Settings navigator can therefore pass these tests because the helper still returns the expected
["Home", "Thread"]state. Add a focused callback test with Settings active that asserts the reset targets the root navigator and that the tab dispatch occurs.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Closes #19729
Problem
On an Android tablet or split layout, with Settings open in the detail pane, tapping a thread in the list did nothing. A dev build showed
The action 'RESET' ... was not handled by any navigator.Fix
The thread tap resets the stack to Home + the tapped thread. It sent that reset through the container's
dispatch, which goes to whatever navigator has focus. With Settings open, that's the Settings stack. It has no Home or Thread routes, so the reset got dropped.useAndroidWorkspaceSelectionnow builds the reset from the root state and targets the root stack's key. The tapped thread replaces Settings, and Back goes to the thread list.Evidence

After: the same tap opens the thread, and Back returns to the thread list.
