ApprovabilityVerdict: Not approved Macroscope's review found this PR not approvable — This adds a substantial opt-in sidebar capability across web and mobile, including new grouping UI, persisted settings, headings, and group-constrained reorder behavior. The cross-cutting production behavior and order-management changes warrant human review despite the feature defaulting off. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

🗄️ Data Integrity & Integration | 🟡 Minor | ⚡ Quick winPreserve the saved order outside the moved group.
When grouped active keys are interleaved, this fallback assigns spread keys to the full active section. Web and mobile pass and persist the full grouped order. In the
a1(f), b(n), a2(t), a3(w)case, movinga1rekeysb; turning grouping off can then showa2, a1, a3, binstead of preserving the saved placement outside the moved group. That conflicts with the documented within-group move behavior. Build the fallback from the saved sequence, changing only the moved group’s slots, and apply that rule to both platform planners and mobile’s availability calculation.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

Mid-drag (dragged card floats; headings and rows stay stacked): After dropping inside the alpha group: Not runtime-checked: the read-only/non-reorderable group case (covered by the shared planner tests) and mobile on a device. |

threads in the flat sidebar have no branch or worktree heading. this adds an optional, persisted setting that groups threads within their sections while preserving pinned order and thread search, and defaults off. real web checks covered settings persistence/reset, grouping, shelf expansion/collapse, search, keyboard traversal, pinning, and settling; same-group dragging and reload also passed with interleaved saved order and two unchanged pinned threads. native mobile/desktop-specific interactions remain unverified. 514 existing tests, scoped lint, and contracts/client-runtime/web/mobile typechecks passed on Blacksmith. model: gpt-6.1-sol; harness: codex.
real same-group reorder was exercised on two normal conversation forks and their parent, with another project interleaved in saved order. drag, grouping-off order, flat search, and reload preserved the intended order; read-only persisted state confirmed the reordered positions and unchanged pins. the final existing sidebar tests, scoped lint/format check, and web typecheck passed on blacksmith. remote and native runtime remain unverified.
