Steps to reproduce

  1. Open android app
  2. Open new thread
  3. Pull chat upwards
  4. The downwards arrow which should appear when being higher up in the chat such as to go all the way down appears

I would assume the reason is something like "if y != 0"

Expected behavior

The downward arrow to go all the way down should not appear when pulling the chat upwards (as in being at an effectively negative y level)

Actual behavior

The downward arrow appears when pulling chat upwards

    Duplicate of #12754 — same Android scroll-to-end chevron visibility bug.
    

    Your repro (pull/overscroll the chat upward at the live edge so the downward arrow flashes) matches the first half of that report: user-scroll-begin pauses live-follow even on a drag/overscroll at the hard bottom, so showScrollToEndButton turns on while there is nothing below.
    

    Please follow #12754 (and related open PRs #11854 / #12562 noted there). Closing this as a duplicate.
