InfraEng: Community validators on the Wococo testnet

The Vision

We received requests from the community to be able to run validators on testnet. For this purpose, the Wococo testnet has been redeployed based on the faster version of the Westend runtime. Deploying a Wococo validator and having it become part of the active set should be easy and fast.

The Plan

• Add current Wococo chainspec to polkadot binary: Update wococo chainspec polkadot#7018
• Wococo faucet deployed: https://matrix.to/#/#wococo-faucet:matrix.org
• Update testnet documentation to mention Wococo: Update information about testnets w3f/polkadot-wiki#4787
• Add Wococo to polkadot.js apps
• Add tutorial for setting up a Wococo validator

Open Questions

• What would be the maximum number of validators on Wococo ?

Wococo was shut down. A community PoS testnet initiative now exists: Paseo.
