Hi there 👋 If you still have your credentials but can’t access the verification code because the email linked to that account is inactive, unfortunately you won’t be able to delete the account yourself. Here’s what you can do:
Once they verify you’re the owner, they can either delete the account or update the email address for you. Hope this helps! 🚀 |

Hi there 👋
If you still have your credentials but can’t access the verification code because the email linked to that account is inactive, unfortunately you won’t be able to delete the account yourself.
Here’s what you can do:
Go to GitHub Support and choose Account and Profile → Login problems.
Explain that your old email is inactive and you need help deleting or recovering access to your account.
The support team will ask for proof of ownership (like old repo names, billing details, or associated SSH keys) to verify it’s really your account.
Once they verify you’re the owner, they can either delete the account or update the email address for you.
Hope this helps! 🚀
