'-' in search queries

This may be related to #73. I have a custom field that has entries that are sometimes just tokens and are sometimes things like "june-1-draft-2014" & ""june-5-draft-2014" things do not appear to be happy with the "-" sign.

I can search with things like version=1 and version=5 (gives me only one or the other) and version=draft which gives me both 1 & 5. But I can't search version=june-1-draft-2014 - I get no results

This is also an issues for ".", but not "_"

@birdsarah: can you provide the mapping of your custom field?

I'm not sure. I thought the mapping happened server side.
If that's the case then I'm using annotateit.org & someone would need to look it up there the field is called "version".
If not, please tell me where I would find this in my client code and I'd be happy to share.

This should be fixed by #88, although it might be a little while before we deploy a fix to Annotateit.
