{"timestamp":"2026-06-15T23:33:04.169971Z","level":"WARN","fields":{"message":"Failed to create shell snapshot for powershell: Shell snapshot not supported yet for PowerShell"},"target":"codex_core::shell_snapshot"} #28408
I reproduced the local Windows warning path and put together a small PR-ready branch that downgrades the explicitly unsupported shell snapshot path from warn to debug while keeping unexpected snapshot failures at warn.
Because this repository currently rejects direct PR creation from my account/integration, I opened a draft fork PR here:
just test -p codex-core unsupported_shell_snapshot_error_is_detected
just test -p codex-mcp shutdown_does_not_initialize_incomplete_client
git diff --check
just fmt was also run; Rust/Python/Just formatting completed, but the Bazel/Starlark buildifier step failed on Windows with [WinError 2] for tools/buildifier. The changed files are Rust-only.
