Codex App: conversation history lost on branch switch #10967
Description
When working on a branch and then switching to another (e.g. during a PR review/merge flow), all conversations from the original branch disappear.
Repro: Work on a feature branch → ask AI to PR-review and merge into staging/main → conversations from the feature branch are gone (including the one you were just in).
Expected: Conversations persist across branch switches.
Actual: Conversations are lost and unrecoverable after switching branches.

I found the root cause — this isn't actually a bug. The show relevant branches only filter was enabled, which hides conversations from other branches when you switch.
That said, I'd argue the UX here is confusing. If you're actively in a conversation and switch branches, that conversation just vanishes with no explanation. There's no indication that a filter is hiding it.
